He was definitely trying to get under James skin🤭🤭🤭🤭

You want to run that by me again LOL.
Ha ha James got so Jealous.
John Amos was HILARIOUS on this show. When Norman Lear wrote him out, it was the beginning of the end. Yeah I know it lasted a little bit w/o him, BUT it was NEVER the same
Norman Lear did not wrote out "John Amos" he fired "Amos" plain and simple .
That's life and TV.
Sad but True SMH
FACTS!!!
@@timothyturner1056 when he fired him, he fired himself!!!!
James' facial expressions in every episode throughout the entire series is the stuff of LEGEND!!
His nose always flares up whenever he is angry.

One thing is certain, James LOVED Florida!!!
Every hood needs this father.
Truth. EVERY hood now days and every young man.
Everyone needs a father that’s why our community should start striving to get married and create whole families instead of baby mommas and baby daddies who leave when they breakup
Every 'hood needs to not exist.
They no longer exist

When 'Oscar' stopped acknowledging James and just walked right past him into their house is when Oscar would have gotten tossed out. Lol
lmao
@George Jackson That too! Good point. She eventually introduced them but I say dude was wrong first, he walked past James like he was the butler 😆
instead of saying ‘You must be Mr Evans...’
Her reaction to it is notable though.
@George Jackson Agreed. By Oscar’s reaction, maybe she didn’t mention that she was even married. I forgot how the episode played out but yeah I can’t see a dude purposely playing James like that unless he didn’t know. Oscar was wrong on the man to man side of things but yeah, Florida violated too.
@George Jackson Not that I didn’t really catch it, it’s more of how dude disrespected James at this moment. As a man he should have addressed James before anything else especially since James answered the door. What Florida did was wrong too but that could have gone really bad real fast if James had reacted like most dudes would have over an unknown man walking into his house without acknowledging him. Florida still gets blame but Oscar wasn’t thinking or just didn’t care.
@George Jackson I’m right with you on that propaganda part. And shortly after this...James gets killed off the show. Yep, I feel what you’re saying. The only thing is that I don’t recall the whole episode, I think since Florida worked for the dude that he just popped up over to their apartment unannounced and she was scared to react to that because she needed the job. No excuse but I think there was a reason to kinda explain it. I’m gonna search for the episode to see the full picture.
We need more fathers like James Evans.
He was definitely my TV dad growing up
Always did.
My dad was like that. Most the men in my family was.

That was a very good episode. That was understandable he didn't want Oscar hitting on Florida. Oscar was smooth. I remember he was on what's happening.
John Amos and Esther Rolle had perfect chemistry! 🙏🏼♥️
Sure did. The way a couple should be.
Best TV Dad ever!
Most Feared TV Dad Ever
He really was so important to my childhood watching Good Times non stop in reruns. I didnt have a dad around and Sr along with my Grandpop were the paramount examples of what a man should be. Pop was sweet and kind, James was loyal and fierce.
💯
My Daddy was a cross between James Evans and Dr Huxtable; more like James tho; we all in some kind of way had a James Evans type Daddy I Garontee!
Yea him and Bill Cosby
John NEVER should have been fired from this show
He was the best part of the show
This show went to the SHIT CREEK when John Amos left!
The ratings tanked when they let him go.
He should've never threatened people's lives.

James made the whole show EPIC! His acting is so natural!
I loved the good times with James
You don't barge past someone and enter their home without being invited in.
Not only that creeping up on someone else's wife. I can't believe James didn't bust him down right then and there.
Yeah that's true.
Especially in Southside Chicago.😂
Exactly u wud either get fucked up or worse
Definitely a tool they used to program our people back then. Worked like a charm.
As an adult, a lot of the small stuff I didn't catch as a kid, I'm catching as an adult. There are a lot of lessons in this show.

Now That Dude was Disrespectful He just walked right past james he should have talked with james first
Question #1: how the hell new fella gonna just show up at my apartment in the hood?
Question #2: jealousy aside, how Florida gonna give dude her address like it’s her apartment, ALONE?
These chit’lins don’t smell right!

Thelma was just beyond fine..
James' mannerisms are A+
I absolutely love the live audience 😂😂😂😂
Remember when the lady in the live audience said about Willona, "she got it ALL on tape" against Penny's mother.
James was hilarious in this episode I hollered 😂😂😂😂
One of my all-time favorite shows.......when John Amos was on it. He's by far the funniest character. JJ says some funny things here and there, but the REAL humor of his character is seeing how his father reacts to his stupidity. LOL
"JJ, you sure can act the fool sometimes." LOL Priceless!
Although James is a rugged and strong man, Oscar is a stand-up and confident man, because he's not flinching at James energy. He knows his strength too.
he wasn't worried about James🧐had his eye on the prize the whole time
How this dude just gonna walk in this man house right pass him and hand his wife some flowers and carry on a convo like he aint standing right there talking about having a great time with his wife for lunch. This cat lost his mind. Thats an automatic ass whuppin right there. James reacted like any husband should have.
It was hilarious but that guy lost his mind. 🤣
You're absolutely correct! Gotta have respect for people & their family. That will soon be a thing of the past, unfortunately.
Im with the huzzy on this one.
That’s how u know a white man wrote that crap
I see things differently. I think that Florida shared (like most coworkers) of how she was feeling at home. I believe that the boss was deliberately trying to tell James to straighten up. He had a gold mine and if he don’t start acting like it’s gold in there, someone else will come steal his gold. Right in front of his face. His words were leading and meant to pack a powerful below them belt punch. Florida used that s an opportunity to talk to her bullheaded husband.
Florida got jealous over Ms December…. Remember!!!
Oscar rolled up 😂😂 and James was about to roll him out 😂😂
Thalmus Rasulala also played on the Autobiography of Miss Jane Pitman as Jane's son named Ned.

He also played the father of Raj and dee on what's happening.
