I think what I meant to say was "grungy" lol.
It's really good and yes, sumi ink is much more economic! You should try making some sumi-e paintings! For ink suggestions, I just use the Dr. Ph Martin India Ink. I used to use speedball inks when I was still in the Philippines. Aside from that I can't really suggest anymore. But there was this art store called Deovir Arts I used to go to.
Oh I never been into an actual art store and haven't traveled far coz you already know how bad I am when it comes to that haha! But I sure wanna go there one day.
This video brings back Inktober nostalgia. :) I've never tried Sumi Ink, my favorite is Black Indian Ink especially Dalery Rowney brand. Still, love how you used the bleeding of the ink to add shadows. Very nice sketch and OC. Awesome first impressions, thanks for sharing.
Oohh Daler Rowney eh? I gotta try that one too! Thank you for the views and comments!
I love using sumi ink!
i have the ink stick from daiso! it lasts a super long time
wow! Glad you have that! Wish I could find me one haha.
Try looking for india ink. Usually they are waterproof. I can't really recommend any brand because I don't know which brand is available at Philippines.
Oh yeah I heard Dr. Ph. Martin's a good brand? I'll try to see if I can get those here! Thanks.
@@cottonghostart Dr pH Martin is good but on the pricey side. Anything that label themselves as india ink are waterproof unless they lying. With the india ink, need to let the ink dry completely before applying watercolor. If not, will smudge.
i keep meaning to get some of this to try with a glass pen, its supposed to work well with one :)
oh my goodness I actually have a glass pen and I totally forgot to try it out with that! DX
Did you ever try the other daiso ink with the yellow cap instead of the white one? They say it's good for watercolor. I'm still finishing off my current white cap daiso sumi.
I tried using this ink for my fountain pen XDD it clogged 2 mins after lol ... nice video and art! now I know how to use this ink ... now to find brushes XDD
oh man! Thank you for letting me know that this clogs fountain pens haha! Thank you very much.
i think it's not for fountain pen but more for dip pen
Wow!💛😍
Thank you!!
Can u also review sumi calligraphy ink?
your content is so damn interesting, keep it up!! :)
Aww man thank you. That means a lot QwQ
Can you try it on a dip pen?
I'll do that!
Is it washable? I'm planning to use this sumi ink for a dip pen. I'm still hesitating because I'm afraid it will stick or stain the nib. Hopefully you can help me 😣
it didn't stain mine. Just made sure to clean it after every use.
