    This is brilliant.. this is much better than a 3 day course plus I'm a slow learner so I can just go through these videos take my time, then when I apply for the course I'll be very ready and comfortable taking the exam.. thanks sparky ninja!

      Just wonderful, I've been looking for "training for electricians in uk" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Diyarah Electric Freedomify - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my neighbour got amazing results with it.

    Dave, your course helped immensely. Just took my 18th exam today and passed with 97% at 1h35m....
    I'm 55 and never looked at wiring regs until about a month ago but I have sound reasons for doing so now.
    You're a star.

      @@ElectricEssenceLtd Watch the videos, find a mock exam or two and practice, practice and practice. Some of the answers will become embedded in your brain and this will allow you more time to find the more obscure answers and pace yourself. Also adding tabs to the reg book as well as sensible highlighting is allowed to assist you finding the relevant section more quickly.

      Hey. Your encouraging. Please advise. I am 58 . Want to become a legal self certifying small time electrician(Domestic electrician?). I’ve been looking , on the internet,at some fast track courses( 18th edition, C&G this & C&G that etc). Sadly still confused. I have aptitude for sciences ( Physics,& pure maths at A levels) & also worked as a technician in the past. I have an electrician friend who is willing to give some support in practical ways once I have the relevant certificates . I have seen fast track for domestic electrician on line which claim that after completing I will be able to practice. I would be most grateful for your advice & guidance on the most convenient/ direct route .

    Haven't looked at a regs book in 8 years...did the condensed 2 day course along with the help of these vids managed to scrape a 68% pass mark today. My advice in order to get a high mark is spend more time with the book and learn to navigate it and make sure you know what equations you are expected to know and how to find the charts/tables.

    Hi sparkninja, came across your course today and I am working my way through. I am a mechanical maintenance engineer looking to start electrical training. I have been advised that I must either complete the 18th edition to gain access to the electrical course or complete an NC electrical engineering. I am thinking about going down the 18th edition route but wanted to ask your advice. With my knowledge being mechanical do you think this course may prove to be too difficult due to my limited electrical knowledge? Would you suggest any good reading material and training sites that may provide mock exams?

Thanks for the course SparkyNinja, you are a diamond.

    Took my exam yesterday and sailed through it the exam is in the same order as the book so once you answer a question in say section 3 the next questions answer wasnt far away i left the book open on the page after each answer and it worked a treat for me that method, 10 questions on section 7 special locations 5 on part 6 inspection and testing there the bonus questions about 4 questions on external influences codes had that section tabbed straight to it in seconds so 20 questions i was certain were right the rest was pretty basic knowledge really, great series of videos sparky 👍 iv watched all yours aswell as john wards series on the 18th and a few other bits and bobs,when i was revising for the exam i timed myself with some mock questions to see if i could get to an answer in 2 minutes, also in the exam read the exam 1 to 60 dint open the book and must of got 25 right without blinking then went back an looked up to confirm reg or page answer, i had the book tabbed all the parts also table of tables ext influences volt drop info zs tables grouping factor tables every tab came in handy, good luck guys if your about to sit it but nowt to worry about 👍

    • @SparkyNinja
      @SparkyNinja  5 років тому +1

      BS 7671 can be used for systems up to 1000 V AC and 1500 V DC - with the exception of distributors supplies and some others excluded from the scope. Technical information for systems in excess of 100 A would be best sought from the manufacturer but will still be under the standard.
