Karen Carpenter had flawless pitch...she was known as one take singer by those who worked with her. Never missed a beat. She is the platinum standard for vocalists. Never show boated, humble to a flaw. Gone to soon. ❤️❤️👵🏻

Flawless is the best way to describe her voice. She was in a class of her own … and she sang with seemingly no effort.

To my ears, the greatest female vocalist of all time. And brother Richard was a genius arranger and composer, and a fine singer in his own right. My first concert: The Carpenters, Portland, Maine, 1972

I'm a classically trained musician. I've studied composition and orchestration. And I'm a huge admirer of the complex
arrangements of Frank Zappa and other more extreme stuff like Schoenberg as well.
And yet, The Carpenters' Christmas album blows me away every time.
Richard was so young at the time, but he brought an enormous amount of musical understanding and sophistication
to those standard tunes, in a way that I've never heard before.
I suppose it goes to show what can be achieved when someone truly talented applies their skills to their
material in a serious and respectful way, no matter what that material may be, or how it's traditionally been
      known and performed.

And yes, Karen Carpenter had such a wonderful voice, a voice of Angels. She is probably my favorite singer ever. I was blessed to come from that era and enjoyed The Carpenters when it wasn't cool to do so. I loved their music back then and I love it today.

One of the greatest singers that ever lived!!! Karen!!! I remember as a kid I used to close my eyes and just concentrate on that phenomenal voice and I have never been so moved by a voice ever. The one and only Karen!! Something that really touches my heart is all the young people that are discovering the Carpenters and Karen now, because their parents were big fans, and the young people love it as much as their parents do. Timeless music and voices like this Live on Forever. Richard is still with us on earth. Karen could not be more loved and more Missed. She is the only one who could even teach the angels in heaven how to really sing a song. There will never be another Karen!!!

I'm praying for you, JB. Keep strong sweetheart, don't give up the fight. I know what you're saying without you having to say it. I've been there too. Do whatever it takes to keep going, even if it's only getting through "today".
People are always on here and ready to talk to you in the comments section. It doesn't have to be "deep" conversation, just chatting and knowing you are being heard can help.
Just ask a question about Queen and see how many of the fans answer you. We like to talk about things we love.

Karen Carpenter had one of the most beautiful voices..Even die hard rock and rollers, punk rockers loved her vocals. I highly recommend her cover of Leon Russell's beautiful "Superstar". Her voice evokes so much...I'm so sorry that you are having a difficult time. Music also helps me to cope with things. I'm glad we can help brighten your day.. James, Sweetie...partway through this song I saw something in your eyes beyond your usual appreciation of a beautiful song. I actually thought "he's hurting over something" and I felt a little alarmed because as I've said before, I feel a bit maternal toward you. I think partly because you show such heart, openness & feeling, there's a sweetness of spirit that shows through. That's a good thing but it makes you vulnerable to all the negative things (and people) that can happen in life.
Then you expressed what you're feeling at the end and I wished I could step through the screen & hug you, sit down & talk with you. And I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.
This may be "just the internet", but remember that we're real people out here, and we (especially those of us who've been with you from the start) feel genuine affection for you and concern when something's wrong. Any encouragement we offer is heartfelt & I hope you can feel that.
We've seen some of your beautiful family here on your channel so I know you're not alone (thank God), but I also know we can also feel lonely or isolated in whatever emotional pain we're feeling. Please consider us an additional source of comfort, love & prayers.
I've been going through a lot for some time now, and your videos have often made me smile or even laugh when I didn't think I could. They've also touched my heart when you've felt moved by the music I've always loved. You're right, sometimes music is what keeps us going, as does the human connection it provides between us all as we enjoy it together.
Because you've given me lots of little moments of joy I just had to try to give you a little something in return. You have not only my affection but my respect for the kind of person you are.
Please try to stay positive...you've got a long life ahead of you that will be full of both high points & low ones. Hold on through the lows, enjoy the highs. Remember there are always good people who care.
Which reminds me, there's a very famous & beautiful song called "You'll Never Walk Alone." You should listen to Elvis' version of it (it's been done by everyone from Patti Labelle to The Righteous Brothers). It's uplifting and has helped so many people over many years. Please listen to it, maybe do a reaction so it'll be shared with even more people. 💙

Yes, it is a beautiful song. Your heart appreciates it in a special way. Prayers to you from someone who gave up praying that things get better for you. Your authentic nature earned it. Kudos to Karen Carpenter on the lead vocals. Her authentic nature earned that too.

Prayers that you will come to the realization that you are in fact loved unconditionally and held in the hearts of so many. And, as my mother always reminded me, "This too shall pass."

I found it. Your first reaction to The Carpenters. It still surprises me that there are so many people that have not heard The Carpenters. It's good that you can do these reaction videos to see all this music that you've missed. The 60's, 70's and early 80's were such a great time for music. I got to see it first hand. I know that some young people don't even bother to listen to it. You're lucky, you have. Now you also know how beautiful it is. Please, listen to some more. You won't be disappointed too many times.

Karen Carpenter had such an incredible voice. She gives hope to altos everywhere.
Highly recommend 'Merry Christmas, Darling'. A couple of other people have mentioned 'Superstar'. That's also a great Carpenters song.
Music provides comfort and soothes the soul. So many people don't understand that. You seem like a kind and sensitive person. I hope that, whatever you've been going through, your troubles end soon.

You said "it moved my soul" and that's true power -- It moves mine too. Music connects us all. It's the thread that unites mankind, and this beautiful angel is making waves decades after her passing. Thank you for keeping that love alive.
