    That’s amazing, that you got both the roots and the seeds to grow.

    I kept a pineapple plant for about 6 years before frost finally got it. I didnt bring it inside soon enough. It got pretty big but never did fruit.

      Maybe the seeds are the key and have a better outcome because I could never get a pineapple top to grow like in UA-cam videos;

    Not sure how I did it but I grew a pineapple from top to fruit in about 15 months, my pineapple flowered late winter-early spring. Mine was in a loose soil with a decent amount of orchid bark and I actually didn't water it as frequent as most of my other plants and it was fine, even in drought and 115 degree summer heat. The first time I tried to grow one I definitely watered it too much and it died. When it started get warm and the pineapple bud had finished flowering, I put it in a spot with full sun all morning and partial shade in the afternoon. The offshoots that it sprouted have yet to flower but I've heard of a method where you can put ripening fruit near the crown to induce flowering. Keep in mind that many pineapple farmers spray ethylene gas on their pineapple plants so if it doesn't start to flower soon, try putting a banana or apple next to the growth point and covering it in a bag. Also, the first pineapple will be medium-sized and when its offshoots produce fruits, they will be much smaller, about the size of a small grapefruit.
    I hope some of this info is helpful :)

    Everytime I try to grow a pineapple, the leaves dry out and the middle rots; I tried everything, including using soil with coffee grinds, sand and Potting soil…… I don’t get how people get them to grow ?! I’m very interested in the seeds and kept some, because I always wandered why I found seeds but nobody else sprouted them either; thanks ; )
