It is important to plant pineapple in Dec or Jan or they will not reach full size and you will have a half sized pineapple... It will still taste good but if planted in Dec or Jan it will grow to full normal size
Always a good idea to plant your plants in prewatered soil. I've found that it can take a while for the soil to get evenly wet, and my plants tend not to do as well if planted in dry soil and only then watered. I guess the roots don't like it. A lot like how a bowl of cereal takes a while until it gets soggy.

You can sprinkle the top of the soil with cinnamon to get rid of the mold, but if it's white and fuzzy it'll only be on top of the soil and is basically harmless. It's just breaking down the compost in the pot
You can use Cinnamon as a root enhancer. cinnamon is safe for plant, safe for soil ( has even some benefice) and act as a root booster. try it! pour cinnamon directly on where root will grow or already grow and you'll see a result faster. maybe 6 days instead of 12 days for exemple.

Thank for the tip. Ya I think tweezer will work better
Didnt know pineapples have seed always thought they grow with their crown
Is this a good time to start growing it? I live in Rome, Italy, it's very hot through September
That I can't advice, because I never live in European countries...my best guess if warm and hot enough, it should able to grow...the southern Italy probably have best chance
you can plant the pineaple head straight into soil the water rooting is a waste of time u get the same result with less work
and water roots are diffrent from soil root and usually die anyway in soil and then grow soil roots to replace them
What happens when winter comes? Would it revive by spring? I live in Nebraska
I don't think it can survive winter ...but you might need to find a way to protect from the frost and bring inside.
It's been over 15 days,I potted rooted crown, which I placed in semi shaded all this time.should I now put it in full sunlight?
probably on the safe side, another week would be better
How’s it looking
So where do I get those calcium carbonide night tablets??? How many did you use???
I bought online...and used it twice a week apart .Each time about a full tablespoon portion
That would be one hell of a tree to be able to support the weight of all the pineapples. I seriously despair of people's lack of knowledge.
What climate are you in? I'm in 7b, so I want to be sure that can care for them over the winter properly. Thanks!
I am in tropical country, 12b ..just like Hawaii climate...but I have friends in Santa Clara CA, it survive the frost
@@TonysExploration Thank you!
This 10000 years It may take 2 years to fruit
naturally. To induce
flowering, we use the
calcium carbide. When mix
with water, produces
acetylene gas, which
induces flowering.
yes they will grow under grow lights i have three that i started from crowns its been 2years now they look good but no fruit yet
Wow...good to know it grow well under grow light!
If you use one layer of 2 ply toilet paper it works better. Its soft enough wet when you pull it tears to paper rather than the root.
Thanks for the tips
Qué maravilla de la naturaleza!!!
Gracias, poco espacio que tengo voy tratar de plantar.
Give it a try, remember pineapple loves sun!

Something doesn't add up here...

There is a part 2.
Here is the part 2....then it will sum up everything ua-cam.com/video/8TPFQ053tZ0/v-deo.html
How long before the pineapple grows fruit?
Check out the part 2 video , link in the description
Wow. They did all that to every pineapple there.
😀WOW! Do Large Commercial Growers also use the Calcium/Gas trick?🤔 Would make sense for production speed.
Definitely, they need to make sure whole farm can bear fruits at the same time , and harvest at the same time. Commercial growing use 1-Naphthaleneacetic acid pill..AKA ANAA hormones pill
@@TonysExploration 😀Hmm! Learn something everyday! Thanks 4 answering my question. Happy 🍍 Pineapple-ing!!!
3:14 you see lots of pets and bugs running around the soil, u used cocopeat mix, i also used coco mix soil and see them lots. Why? Is it good?
Those ngats are nusaince. Cocopeats seem to always attract these pests..
How often should you dumpen the paper towel?
As long as is moist , you don't have to dumpen it.
Infinite pineapple glitch. Hope they don't patch this.
Is it normal for green leaves 🍃 to go a little brown right now they are in water not in direct sun they are growing roots I started then 2 1/2 weeks ago
is normal if losing a few leaves at the lower or edge of the leaves turn brown, as long as is not rotting at the middle stem, should be fine
