Same deal here. She was nice, gentle, loving....2 years past and things changed. What lasted 8 years, I'm surprised...but we move on. Not going to lie and say I don't still think of her, or miss her good side. But, no one is perfect, and I know I had a part in her leaving...she just never explained why. I've loved this song for a long time, but only recently has it really developed personal meaning to me. Corey describes it as being about something that you want so much, but you know will not be any good for you, and as heartbreaking as it may be, you have to let it go, something we all have to do sometime. Corey is by FAR one of the most talented musicians and vocalists I have ever listened to. I've never heard a song from Stone Sour or Slipknot that I havent been able to connect with in one way or another. I first heard this song after losing a very close and dear friend, and it just..... resonates with me. I hope I get to meet Corey one day and tell him his music has saved me from myself many times, and that sooo many of his songs have brou light to my darkness.

This album helped me get through leaving my ex of 18 years. It was hard but I know it was for the best. 8 years later and I've moved on.

My wife of eight years died two days before Valentine's day 2016. She was carrying our son and was going to surprise me. Every time I hear this song, I see her looking as beautiful as she did when we first met. Our son is in her arms.
Corey has always been a big inspiration for me. This song really hit home. I can't tell you how many times I cried over my ex while listening to this song. I never thought I'd ever be able to release so much pain and hurt. While I screamed in agony over her. I will never forget this. I'm suprised I can even feel again. Corey released all of this for me. I love you bro.
As with most on here. This is my life right now. This one finally did me in. It is just not worth attempting again. Told me her life story. In the end it turned out she was an addict using amphetamines and tweaked herself into our destruction. From an absolutely perfect relationship to finding out she was just telling me the future. The day she walked out her last words to me was I apologize for being an asshole last night. I love you. 5 hours later. A text message. Something changed. I am never coming back. 6 months she has been gone. Always on my mind. Hardest and easiest part in knowing she got with someone else only to learn she destroyed us and at no point can look me in the eyes. Forever feels like home inside your head. 53 and the realization I only attract damaged women has made me look inside. I am done with it all. I am truly blessed. It's time to enjoy this blessing and move on to me.. it's my time to have 100% peace. Never again.

I think the thing i love most about the video is that you never see Corey and the rest of the band in the same shot together, they are always separate..it gives it that level of personal intimacy and complements the song perfectly...pure genius.

This is the beauty of music. He can go from harsh agressive emotions in vocals to this. And that shows that he's a real man. I love this song, such a nice ballad, about the real subject : Love. Every metal band tries to avoid that subject to loose the ''gay'' in their image, but I think that's wrong. Before I knew it, I became an old dude. Kids in college. Kids in the military. I grind the 9-5 white-collar world (and I hate it). I've been a rock and metal-head since the 70s. Yes, I just turned 50. Stone Sour is one of my favorites, and this song really hits me in the ole heart. The lyrics have a different meaning to me since my best friends (my kids) are now leaving. My other friends are old now too and either busy with life or worse, not doing too well in life and health. When music can hit your emotions and make a connection, it doesn't matter if you're standing next to a 20 year old dude at a live show. We are all in this life together. Peace.

In all honesty I prefer this Corey Taylor over Slipknot, Corey has a very emotional, melodramatic singing voice and this song exemplifies that side of his voice very well... Don't get me wrong I'll still like his moshpit inducing rage metal on slipknot.. But as an artist... Stone Sour is where Corey Taylor belongs

Σήμερα πήρα μια πολύ μεγάλη απόφαση..όλο το βράδυ την σκεφτόμουν..Την Δευτέρα θα αλλάξω αυτά που είχα κανονίσει οσον αφορα την δουλειά μου μόνο και μόνο για να εξαντλησω κάθε δική μου δυνατότητα να βρεθώ κοντά σου..Μην αγχωνεσαι. Είναι δική μου επιλογή.Κάποια μέρα θα μάθεις τι έκανα..Σ αγαπώ και μου λείπεις..μακάρι να μην ερχόταν αυτή η ώρα που θα έπιανα ξανά αυτά τα βιβλία..μου θυμίζουν πόσο ευτυχισμένος ήμουν όταν τα είχα κλείσει.Φως παντού.Και τώρα απλά παλεύω μόνος χωρίς να ξερω αν θα είσαι εκεί σε λίγο..αν ο χρόνος με σβήσει..Μου λείπεις..
