My brother (also called Corey) chose this song for his funeral. He passed away from cancer in February 2019 at 26 years old, 7 months after diagnosis. He said this song was exactly how he felt in his last months. This song hits hard every time I hear it 🖤 RIP bruv. 1992-2019
I am so sorry :( Love, thoughts and prayers!
:( much love to you
much love hope your all doing okay
condolences
Dammit I'm so sorry. I lost my mom 12/26/18 from cancer, also. However, I wasn't able to play my kind of music at her funeral - which sucked. Keep pushing forward, & take your brother with you. My thoughts & prayers go out to you, especially during the shitty 1st year. Take care. ❤
If you are reading this.
I hope something amazing happens to you.
You deserve it.
All the best, always.
Thanks, brother.
Thank you. Same for you. 😊😎
That's beautiful, my friend. The best to you and all like hearted friends out there.
Thanks brother you too
wish the best for everthing and everyone. Lifes a bitch but theres always hope
2024 anyone else 🤘🏼🔥💯
Heck yes I love this song and am forever listening to it and so very grateful for our military friends ALL of them ❤❤❤
I'm a Marine. I remember listening to this song the night before I left home to return to base. It brought me to tears. You don't realize just how homesick you are until it's your last night at home and you have to say goodbye to all your loved ones knowing that you won't see them again for a long time if ever again
Thank you for your service and may god protect you so you can come home and never again have to leave
Andrew Criss thank you for your service man!
For real dude, I've been doing this since 2009 and every time leaving gets harder.
Oohrah devil dog.
Thank you for your service. From Australia ✊
Even after all these years, still hits me like the first time I heard it.
Matthew Marshall i feel the same way ... its still so relevant ...
Matthew Marshall what's the meaning of it lol I can't figure it out
Max Daniel it's a love song written to Taylor’s wife for helping him in his struggles against alcoholism and contemplation of suicide.
I cried pretty hard the first few times I listened to this. You can really feel his pain and emotion. I was overwhelmed.
Truly a masterpiece
This song hits home with me, I had bone cancer when I was 12 years old. I remember laying in the hospital bed, awake at 4 am because I couldn't sleep with IVs and heart monitors hooked up to me. "I get to go home in one week, but I'm leaving home in three weeks". Literally how it was in chemo treatment. "I'm ready to live with my family, I'm ready to die in obscurity". When you're a young adolescent these types of emotions are truly felt in those moments when you're alone at night, not knowing whether you'll live or die, just doing what you're told. The lyrics are obviously about his career as a musician, but it's totally relatable from the experience that I had. Thank you Corey writing something that I can connect with. I am healthier than ever, and I'm a survivor, but I'll never forget how it helped me grow as a person. I think it's important to remember how we felt at certain moments in our lives, other children did not make it in the hospital I was in. Something like this brings me back to the altruism I was taught from a life changing event. Our universe is so impersonal, we must not let bitterness consume us.
Chaddy Kruger damn dude that's deep... Glad you made it through it... It is a truly beautiful song...
Chaddy Kruger I don't know who you are, where you're from or even what made stop on your comment. But thank you, there was something in that comment I needed to hear.
Chaddy Kruger big love fam. Bx
@@Jpgator1214 , couldn't have said it better. I think what he said about the universe and bitterness really resonates and I'm not exactly sure why but I'll darn well figure it out. So thank you!
Be well xo
A bit of James Maynard Keenan in your writing, brilliant, and so happy that you got through something so mind-bendingly tough. Music transcends our mortality, I truly believe that.
"I'm still too tired to care and I gotta go" that line hits so heavy, nails it right on the when it comes to depression. Because you could promise me the world, tell me I could literally have it all, and here I am just too tired to care.
Corey has one of the most amazing voices ever. Slipknot, Stone Sour...doesn't matter if he's screaming or singing. He is amazing.
A song for people struggling whether it is drugs or alcohol or mental disorders. Those that are struggling. It means different things for everybody.
❤
2023 and I still listen to this anthem, anyone else?
Always.
I played this song for my dad at his funeral back in 09’. This song will always be on my playlist.
And after 10 years it will be the same, the real music just fly across the time
2023, 2024... and whatever I have left to live
I will never stop!!
I had to put down my best friend of 10 years yesterday. I’m heart broken but this song is a comfort. Enjoy heaven, buddy 💙
Wow hope your ok stay strong my friend
Heartbreak8ng stay strong
Fml.😢 that's one time I dread with my entire being. Hope you're doing ok. Much love. Xx
Life is hard, but I'm sure you made the best choice. The hardest choices are brutal!
The hardest part of life is watching the ones you love most lose it, your best friend is in my heart and so are you. Stay strong. You'll be reunited eventually.
We all listen to this for one reason or another. I hope your listening to pull you through the dark times or as a remembrance. We are here for a reason, Corey you are an amazing artist - Thank you for your passion, voice and strength. #HoldStrong
2023.....and this song's timelessness is now evident.
When he said "did you really think I wouldn't see this through"
Hit home, because I know everyone still thinks I might go back.
Recovering from methamphetamine abuse, almost 2 years off the shit!!
Anything is possible..
Never forget your worth people.
Euan Sheppard thanks
Proud of you. 😌
Congrats! 5 months sober from cocaine and alcohol. Very happy for you!
Keep going man! 30 years since I kicked cocaine. You can do this!
Wicked stuff there, "stay strong warrior"
Corey is one of the most talented guys out there, he can go from this to Eeyore or any other Slipknot song. Genius.
Arctic Lyme fuck dude I almost forgot about eeyore
FACTS
Oh don’t get me started on eeyore
we played this for my brothers funeral yesterday, i’ve been listening to it on repeat. i can’t tell if i can feel the pain or if i’m really just that numb to it all anymore
Hoping time helps you
Much love and prayers.
Grief is the ultimate consequence of Love. Remember you are loved as well and this moment in time will pass ❤ Carpe Diem
My brother passed away 2 years ago its his birthday today and this was his favorite song when he passed.
I hope it helps you like it's helped me. Don't hold back those tears while listening either. Much love stay safe out there.
Praying for your pain&loss🙏
One of my fav songs of Stone Sour..
I don't know how else to put this.我不知道還要怎樣去對待這些

Saving my place as life forgets. 當時間開始流逝 我拯救著我的記憶
Maybe it's time I saw the world. 也許我該面對現實
I'm only here for a while. 我在這裡僅僅停留片刻
And patience is not my style, 當時間開始流逝 我拯救著我的記憶
And I'm so tired that I got to go. 我太累了 我根本不想去面對
Where am I supposed to hide now? 我應該到哪裡逃避?
What am I supposed to do? 我到底應該怎樣去做?
Did you really think I wouldn't see this through? 你真的認為我不會瞭解這些嗎?
Tell me I should stick around for you. 告訴我我應該徘徊在你身邊
Tell me I can have it all. 告訴我我可以擁有這兒的一切
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go. 但是我依然無法從容的去面對
I got to go home in one week. 我很快就會回家
But I'm leaving home in three weeks. 但是不久我將要遠走
They throw me a bone just to pick me dry. 孩子們像對一個陌生人一樣戲弄我
I follow the suted directions. 我向我感覺的那個方向走去

(6x) I'm still too tired to care and I got to go. 但是我依然無法從容的去面對
Skyern Aklea same
Hesitate is mine...
Spin it
I think this is my favorite.
This is the last song I want to hear the moment before I die.
Me too
I also want this being played as I am being cremated
Me too
I remember the first time i heard this song. Stood in my daughters kitchen and we were having a drink or two. She said listen to this mam ,this is what i want playing at my funeral. It was only a conversation she is perfectly healthy by the way. By the time it had finished we were both in tears.lol My grandson is named after corey taylor
This was the song I was going to commit suicide to. This was going to be the last song I heard.
I was in the Army, this song got me through the harder times. That line "You still don't think I'm gonna see this through." was the line that brought it together for me. To me this song meant: "This sucks, what I have to do is rough, it sucks, but it needs to be done, and I'm gonna see this to the end."
I did 13 years in the army and the national guard as well as an OIF III deployment in 04-05 this song brings back a lot of memories from that time
I'm not military. But the part where you said "This sucks, what I have to do is rough, it sucks, but it needs to be done, and I'm gonna see this to the end" I felt that more like I needed to hear that. Just someone else out there no matter what walk of life gets it.
Hoorah bro
Fuck the army
I get to go home in 1 week but, I'm leaving home in 3 weeks. They throw me a bone just to pick me dry. Yeah, that was bct graduation.
What ever Corey does, ends up being absolutely beautiful!
some people are just born poets & bards they can't help it, it's natural like breathing
Song makes so much sense when you're sick and tired of people. Just feel like going away and starting somewhere new. No matter what you do, your life will always haunt you!
I don't know how else to put this
It's taken me so long to do this
I'm falling asleep and I can't see straight
My muscles feel like a melee
My body's curled in a U-shape
I put on my best, but I'm still afraid
Propped up by lies and promises
Saving my place as life forgets
Maybe it's time I saw the world
I'm only here for awhile
But patience is not my style
And I'm so tired that I got to go
What am I supposed to hide now?
What am I supposed to do?
Did you really think I wouldn't see this through?
Tell me I should stick around for you, tell me I could have it all
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I get to go home in one week, but I'm leaving home in three weeks
They throw me a bone just to pick me dry
I'm following suit and directions
I crawl up inside for protection
I'm told what to do and I don't know why
I'm over existing in limbo
I'm over the myths and placebos
I don't really mind if I just fade away
I'm ready to live with my family
I'm ready to die in obscurity
'Cause I'm so tired that I got to go
Where am I supposed to hide now?
What am I supposed to do?
You still don't think I'm going see this through?
Tell me I'm a part of history
Tell me I could have it all
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
I'm still too tired to care and I got to go
Thank you so much for posting the lyrics. This song just blew me away. ✌️💔❤️
I remember this song got me through the toughest period of my life...I remember I played it for 4 months continuously...only this song. It's been 11 years since, and it's still the best song I've ever heard. Next month I'm going to a Stone Sour concert...I will definitely lose it when they will play this song...
You can tell when a song is written straight from the heart.
10 fuckin' years later! Damn... You guys took a while but... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS! : ' )
Stone Sour, thank you for everything....
My brother committed suicide 2 months ago. He’s been battling depression for years. This song means so much to me. Powerful.
So many battle that nasty disease sorry you had to go through wish more people would talk about it then take there life. Cause it's the ones they leave behind who suffer the most. Hope ur doing better❤ 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤
your brother was and will be strong like that, believe me!
Lo siento mucho...
Praying 🙏
I’m so sorry ❤️🙏

One of my all time favorites.. thank you Stone Sour for being here with this lovely music
This song means so much to me personally. Corey's voice has everything for songs like this. A genuinely talented songwriter and singer. Damn this is so emotional..
I know you won't read this, but I'm not gonna give up on you, we both have suffered enough but I gotta stay strong to keep you alive, if you go I don't know what I'll do then.
omg that guitar solo came in at the PERFECT moment
wished it never ended
The full version is even better!
I thought that I had just missed out on this music video for 10 years until I saw the upload date lol
Right? About damn time!!!
When i was a kid, my dad drove my brother and I from Joshua Tree CA. up to visit our mom in Las Vegas NV. On the way, right before Calico Ghost Town, there is a road called "ZZYZX rd." and every time we passed that road, I often wondered where it led to. I'm 38 now and have faced many trials and tribulations , heartbreak, disappointment, addiction, you name it , and still to this day i think of that road and Corey Taylor hits me every time i hear him sing that song. Thank you for keeping my soul alive my friend! From one musician that struggles with his emotion to another.
They will probably never read this but thank you so much Stone Sour for this song

This song saved my life....was everything when I was battling addiction. I now have 4 years sobar
Great 👍🏻 job from Australia I have only just admitted to my self as a addict been on huge doses of morphine oxy from stepping on a land mine in Afghanistan.
@@malcolml3202 Yikes. Is that called being "point man"? Whatever it's called, I hope you're doing fine. Kind thoughts from New York
3 years sober now… this song hits hard
@@malcolml3202 Hope you kicked it bro, an IED took me out back in the late 2000s. Shattered my hip and gave me a TBI.
One of the best Stone sour songs ever
Everytime I feel like I want to left everything behind and just go to sleep to never wake up this song brings me back to life... So powerful.
"I get to go home in one week, but I'm leaving home in three weeks"
Two weeks leave to visit home coming from the Sandbox (Iraq), it's the song that helped me overcome the milspec brainwashing and gave me the nerve to get the fuck away from the fascist military industrial complex our military has become. #imtoldwhattodobutidontknowwhy
This track has been with me through some hard times. Thank you for this song Corey
After all these years this song still gets me right in the heart. My Dad introduced me to this song, he said "Play this at my funeral." About a year later he passed away. This was the song we played at the end of the service as he was taken away. It was beautiful and it still is. Thank you for this song.
Corey Taylor still has that amazing voice :))
Ben I know that's one of the best male artist that I like.
Ben yeah, that kind if voice a voice of sorrow-like despair, commitment for his loved ones
It's from 2006 man :D but yes, anyway, I still think that he has of the greatest vocals ever :)
understand your wrighting more now i had cancer for a wile a bay for now i use to play and sing can sound alot like you ... iam old now would be a very hard life at this time .Would be nice
My Favorites song... its 2020 jan anyone?
Johnny FalleN 87 absolutely

Yes Johnny!
Yes most definitely! This will be one song I want played when I'm gone
@@jennakin3975 I agree its on my list aswell
This song gets me through the day as a recovering addict. It hits my heart mind and soul.
As a recovering addict and also a victim of abuse, you deserve love friend. I hope you are doing well. Keep strong.
I’m going to have this played at my retirement. The lines “I’m ready to live with my family” and “tell me I’m a part of history” hit home.
One of my fav songs and they decided to make a video after all those years. I'm in love.
I cant believe that this is the same guy who sings in Slipknot. So much talent
Would you believe if you were told this was his original band? Well yeah they were, slipknot kinda forced him to be in both bands. Levels.
If u wanna have your mind blown, listen to Iowa (the song not the whole album) by Slipknot , then this song back to back .
This band stone sour was his band before he started with slipknot. With Jim Root.
This band came out before slipknot.
@@DaddyNeckBeard not really. They came at the sane time. But slipknot got more recognition then stone sour.
This song helped me get through broken dreams, misdirection, lost hope, I hope it helps others
Here feeling this song hard in 2024.
Songs like this have got me through so much shit. I thank you guys for that.
Makes me cry everytime I listen to it 😭😭😭
I love how music reflects and affects everyone differently, but so internally.
In a stone sour mood. Dec 12, 2019
Same here.... one of those days. They're always there. To pump me up or let me know I'm not alone when I'm falling apart. Forever Sour.
@@H3X3DA most definitely
I'm just not capable of saying it better than predatory omen just said it.
Forever in a Stone Sour mood
this song will always make me cry...
Can't even explain how much this song helped me. Genuinely believe it's the only song I can word for word relate to. Music shouldn't be this real; it's terrifying
This song has helped me with the lose of my oldest son also everytime i miss all my kids i listen to this and know one day we will all be home togetber,
Thanks stone sour
This photograph is so
beautiful *.*
I love this song
Been listening to this on the daily for several days... Corey's voice, the lyrics, and the music is just beautiful. Can't get enough of this song 💙💙💙
Too blue to cry yet
This song saved me after my first miscarriage and my husband leaving for boot camp. I felt alone and that it all was my fault, that something was wrong with me. Listening to this song 15 years later has a whole new meaning. Now I have 4 crazy wonderful kids and still married to a great man. Life has a way of bringing what you need. Bless to all those still fighting your demons.
We’re all going to make it, bros!
There are songs that hit me hard in the heart, and I'm glad this is one of them now. Thank you Corey, for not just saying People equals Shit.
Those two giant trees near the end of the video are exactly what I picture when I listen to The Travelers pt. 1.
Great song... For those who don't know this is a real road... It's on Interstate 15 in California out in the middle of nowhere... There's nothing out there at all, just desert and loneliness... If you were on it you'd definitely wish you were somewhere else... Great symbolism just in the title...
Just drove past it yesterday
Yep.. Vegas native here - passed the Exit a million times and always wondered what was going on with that street..
How do you pronounce the name? Like zeezux rd? Lol I never can pronounce the name of the song it's one of my favs
Thanks guys. It's been a long journey.
✌️&❤️
I haven't heard this song in a while , I love this , I can believe it's been ten years :')
Can't
Any of you that feel this song to you're very core... you are not alone.
This is playing at my funeral
Whoa, what a surprise, after all these years!
It's lovely to hear a different mix (or cut) of the song
One of my favorite songs ever!!
I remember hearing this song when I was battling a bad drug problem. I can listen to this now clean and be grateful for the experience.
I'm 9 years old and this is my favorite song I love it so much
I love you Stone sour ✊😘
The sad thing is when u feel like this when u are an adult. When you have so much to say but the words won't come out and they are left in your mind to eat away that is the painful part.
Just beautiful
Favorite song ever.
2024 still jamming this...
Amazing🥺
Mann.. Ohh.. Song AMAZING.
One of the most beautiful songs ever..
Corey has one of the most amazing voices ...its such raw talent in so many levels... Appreciate his music more and more....emotions that hit home in so many ways... Loving the entire style of his music.... EVERY BIT OF IT!!
This will be played at my funeral. Weather it's tomorrow or when I'm 80
after hearing this again. its probably the top stone sour song
Thank you
If there was a love button instead of a like button I would DESTROY it
Only in a music video can walking be so epic!!
yeah..they are walking through life
Amei! Tomara que o Stone Sour volte logo, saudades dessa banda maravilhosa!
Everyone in life deserves at least one 2hour concert dedicated to their own personal life, and it should open with this song.
Thank you Corey and crew.
Corey ...i love you...thank you for being there! 🖤
this is one of the songs that should play on my funeral
My favorite song ever.
Corey, this is a fucking masterpiece- Absolutely perfected. ♥
Oh thank you so much for doing this even after this many years.
Cant believe its been so long with this song..
I'll never forget passing this road from Vegas to Cali. To call my children. You've made me so proud.
Just lost my bestfriend in the whole world and I still can't process it I keep thinking it's not true even after the funeral and the burial im in denial i dont even look at life the same anymore. Its crazy how u can be here one day ur person ur character ur mentality and ur soul then in a split second u are just a lifeless body that can't say or do anything anymore and nobody knows where u are or if u passed on in peace or what ur last thoughts and feelings were
I lost my dad two years ago unexpectedly and this song makes me think of him whenever I hear it great song by a great band love u old man keep and eye on me and the family till we see each other again
this song is one of them songs if you don't hear it in a while and then listen to it still gives you that warm feeling inside
"Tell me I'm a part of history"
Yes you are. Great song :-)
