The heaviest part for me is when Corey keeps saying "I won't let this build up inside of me". Constantly struggling not to think about someone you can't have, forcing yourself to let her go, knowing that beneath every layer of your soul she will still be there no matter how hard you try to forget her. He committed suicide March, 2nd, 2018. It took me 5 years to even think of listening to this song & I finally got up the nerve about a week ago to listen to it and I’m really glad I did. Even though I ball hysterically every single time, it’s some stuff that obviously needed to come out. R.I.P. Shaun Stephen- I miss you more than words, thoughts, or emotions can ever put a label on. ❤😢

This song always hits me so hard, a few years ago I, by complete coincidence, met a girl online. We spoke every day and shared everything about our lives with each other. I first heard this during one of the hardest and most depressing times of my life - it had so much feeling in it and evoked such strong waves of emotion from me, to the extent that I'd tear up listening to it at times. Generally only at the end of my saddest, most depressing days. But this song is amazing, it's songs like this that I remember the most - these are the kinds of songs that take me back to my dark days, but in a good way. Hard to explain, but I know someone out there will understand.

I recently started to relisten to Slipknot. And hearing this song, readout he comments, and just remembering certain things in my life that went from sweet sugar to sourness is making me tear up honestly. But this song helps me feel better.

When I heard this song so many years ago, I always fantasized about someone singing it to me. This song popped up on my Playlist when my new (at the time) boyfriend was over and he sang it to me, stopped in the middle and told me it's how he felt about me. I had never told him my connection to this song. So it was a one in a million chance coincidence. I mean that because between he and I, we know a million songs. I had never met anyone who knows and loves music like I do. Meeting him seemed like a divine connection.
He has since sang it to me a million times. I recently had to say goodbye to him, this is the first time I've listened to it since. 💔
