I just got 4 of the 280Ah ones. I ordered 23rd Nov 22 and they just arrived 5th Feb. They were due Jan but got delayed (for various Chinese shipping issues) until Feb. The build quality seems excellent. BMS reports all cells are within 3mV. Very tight. They arrived at 50% charge and I just finished charging the first one to 100%. I must buy a bigger charger. 7A is just not cutting it. :-)

Great vids, thanks wondered if your ever going to tear down a roamer battery and compare it to fogstar? the price difference is about £500 quid for the 450ah battery 👌

You noted some brittle glue, etc. on the Ecoworthy. Do you think it would be wise to put 8 of these in parallel (total 800 Ah) in a cruising sailboat? The boat would be subject to rocking and rolling as well as vibration from the diesel engine, but I could have them secured very well. You mentioned a bank of 4 for safety -- would there be a way I could isolate two banks of 4 each? They are less than half the cost of most of the typical "marine" brands which make them very appealing.
Hi, thanks for watching and taking time to comment 🙏 it's appreciated. While Eco-worthy say you can connect an unlimited number in parallel, I personally wouldn't put more than 4 in parallel. Even then I use MRBF Fuses on each battery as well as a class T. You could use a dual switch like this one amzn.to/3V3pEEs and have 2 banks of 4 batteries. They are not Marine grade, but as long as they are secured in a dry area, preferably ambient temperatures they should be OK. Maybe put a small dab of vaseline on the terminals to prevent corrosion would help too. Charging from solar may be an issue if that's your plan but really depends on your set up. Marine grade batteries are more expensive as they are totally sealed and use corrosion resistant materials. Assuming you need to keep too 12 volt system, shop around. If your UK based look at fogstar, I think they have a 12v 280Ah, 460Ah and 560Ah versions which may work out cheaper if you get 2. I'm not affiliated with them but they do give good value. Don't know where they ship too but you could ask. Hope this helps.

Now I see them offered at £350 but most of the time £369.

Since you did this video stock is now available and prices have dropped. The fogstar is £370 and the ecoworthy is £310 but NEW10 gives another tenner of that. Is the ecoworthy a no brainer for £300 now?
At the price the Eco-worthy seems good, but their customer service is bad and I don't know what cells they are using. I would spend the extra on the fogstar for fact you know what you will get.

I was considering in getting two of these to connect in parallel (24v) to my two eco-worthy 24v system. I contacted Fogstar to ask if I needed to have them all at 100% capacity before connecting together and they advised me not to use theirs with those from another manufacturer because of the difference in BMS. have you experienced any problems with your setup in this way?
I have had no issues mixing my eco worthy and fogstar batteries. JBD make both bms systems, both 100 amp just the fogstar has BT and options. Charge each individually until 100% then connect in parallel. Note.. Series connection increases voltage, parallel increases amp hours while voltage stays the same. Eg 2 x 12v in series gives 24v. 2 x 12v in parallel stays at 12v.
@@DCGUY Thanks for that. Yes mines 2x12 in series and I wanted another 2x12 in series but parallel to existing ones, so still a 24v system. I’d have thought the BMS for each pair would just affect that pair they are in series with and not have issues with the parallel pair.

Got a Eco worthy from Amazon, showing discharged battery and on my app saying 2.0 v . It's arrived like this and won't take a charge, Evan tried contacting my 12v motorcycle battery to get the smart charger to start charging the battery, I'm at a dead end and probably got a over priced paper weight 😢

So I I opened it up to take a look can't see anything obvious but the bsm dose look to have an improved connections.
Got a ip65 to use to charge but showing 7volts but 0 current on the app 🤔
