That's why I pack incendiary impact(or impact if you don't have it). The immediate explosion is guaranteed damage if you have good aim, and the incendiary impact is great for bugs and squids because of the area denial
The gas grenade is so overlooked, its basically the stun nade, smoke and incendiary grenade all packed into one package, AND it can destroy fabricators

for a while the redeemer was just a straight upgrade to the peacemaker same damage, more magazines that are also bigger, auto fire with insane dps if your concerned about wasting ammo, just switch to single fire and boom you have a peacemaker reskin that is again- just better then they FINALLY gave it more mags and damage during the big rebalance to give it something over the redeemer -then released the verdict which like you said just does everything better

It absolutely melts the illuminate.. it even does meaningful damage to harvesters. On top of that it always causes flinch, so it is useful for stopping any type of medium enemies rush.

Peacemaker is good when being used as a backup primary. Very good for switching to if you can't reload. It's probably the most accurate pistol in the game when hipfiring. Really handy for killing any straggling hunters or warriors if your primary and support weapon is out of ammo.
Coming from the Bot Front: Also handy for taking out infantry units quickly. Fast enough to stop a bot from calling for backup, even if you miss its head since it flinches them.
I almost never use impacts because the other timed variants do more damage, have a bigger radius, and I usually throw them at my feet when I get overrun, which has saved my life countless times. An impact would be too close so you'd die immediately, and if you know you're going to die to the enemies anyway, the fuse allows you to throw all or most of your grenades down so you can take out more than just one impacts worth of enemies
High Explosive can pierce bot heavy armor you find on vehicles and buildings. The grenade has to detonate while practically touching the surface of the armor, so you have to really learn the timing. If you don't feel like bringing thermite, it's a good second option.
i miss the old grenade pistol, coming out of the hellpod with 8 grenades ready to rock. i would love to run 10 grenades with the new seige ready armor.
Grenade/Eruptor Shrapnel is so goddamn *USELESS!* omfg Who thought it would be FUN to use huge ahh Eruptor 2 times to deal good damage? Because 1 shot or grenade only flinch enemies most of the time. Idk but shrapnel on Eruptor release was never a mistake. Because uh, you know, it's maybe a foreign concept for some people, but seeing how everything in blast radius *DIES* is absolutely phenomenal feeling

Senator bring heavy pen 200 dmg let’s it pull some bullshit in a pinch and save your support slot for anti tank like rec rifle while also letting you use a light pen primary for ad clear. Crossbow senator and either rec rifle or quasar+jetpack will take care of you on bot front.
The frag is actually amazing against voteless on the illuminate maps. Once you figure out how to not blow yourself up with it it becomes your best friend. On average I get anywhere from 6-20 kills per grenade. Plus you can hold more than other grenades.
The frag grenade either feels like a firecracker or it randomly kills 17 enemies in one blast. It's like gambling but with explosions.

Crisper makes a great escape button for illuminate, its meh against overseers but does great on voteless clumps.
I have used the P-72 Crisper to kill hulks multiple times. It takes almost all of its ammo, but it works. I don't love the gun that much though.
I mean, you can do the same thing with the revolver for lees time and ammo
