I'm 74 grew up with the Beatles and Motown all that great 60s music. The Big Push are the best band I've ever seen for versatility brilliant mash-ups equally brilliant originals. No such thing as a Big Push filler track or bad track, everything is fire!
Rock on my friend, I'm 60, and for the last 3 years I've been blasting REN 24 hours a day. I totally agree with you, if REN can stay healthy and the music industry can leave his sound alone and not mess it up, he'll be bigger then them all. He can write, sing, play, and perform/entertain, a true savant. And for me personally, he reminds me of nobody, which is rare. Maybe a slight similarity to Paul McCartney, just in the way that anything Paul touched at one time was GOLD, the Midas touch.
I thoroughly recommend their War Pigs mash up from the same performance. It's awesome! One of my favourite Big Push songs is a cover of a Manu Chau song called Bongo Bong, it's just absolutely brilliant!
I love that this performance showcases Ren's genius guitar playing as well as his "chameleon-like vocals". ❤️ Add in his epic lyric writing skills on his original work...and he is THE force to be reckoned with. Your reaction just reinforces why people love him 😍❣️
I just love Romain, he clearly comes alive when he plays guitar. And gorran the other guitarist, has got a great voice, i was lucky enough to catch them in Brighton and its tragic that they never hit the big time
Came here to say this & suggest it as a fun follow up 😂 That whole set must al have been absolute bananas to watch live, I’m abt to make a “Red Suspenders” Big Push Playlist just thinking about it lol!! Great reaction, love that you love ska too!! 🔥💜🔥
Thanks for the shout out homie! Glad you enjoyed it...I knew you would! ;) WAR PIGS from the same set is another one. Yeah, the vibe of this crew is tight! Enjoyed bopping along with you.
I had the same reaction! - sunshine, out on the street and a bunch of people who get it - what's not to love, music beings people together and sets a vibe. These people would've floated through the rest of their day..!
Man !!! You have to listen to Ren and his retake of Back on 74 / Message in a bottle ! You have to 😂 Incredible, for real 😍 Hope to see you react to this one 🤞 Thanks 😘
@@ReactAttack90 if you think Ren is the second coming of Sting, seriously give it a listen. Not only is the song a serious VIBE, but it might be some of his best vocals (hard to choose lol)
**ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED** congratulations! You have discovered new ren friends The Big Push! Another rabbit hole to fall down 😂 love their music, and they have some fantastic original songs too 😁🥹💜 you also mentioned sting, check out the big push doing "englishman in new york" 😘
Four mates with a pure love of music and performing out there having the time of their lives and the joy and happiness shines through every single time - for me, this is Ren at his happiest. They are the closest thing I've seen to the Beatles - fearless, super talented, inner confidence and genre bending and as tight as a drum performance wise. You honestly couldn't go wrong with a separate "30 days of the Big Push" - there's not one bad song, cover or original.
The Big Push is incredibly versatile, like Ren in his solo career. They cover all sorts of different genres, musical styles and instruments and they make it look EASY! Anything of theirs you watch is straight 🔥 Love your reactions, dude... Keep it up 👏
Great reaction, love your enthusiasm ❤. I think this is my most watched Ren performance, The Big Push are fantastic. I get goosebumps everytime Ren does the Hip Hop rap.....sooo good. Love to them all ❤❤❤❤
Imagine walking down the street doing your shopping and coming across this. The last gig they did over 1000 people turned up, the police had to come and cordon off the street. The big push are well loved and are all so talented. Just 4 guys who want to play music and have fun.
@@ReactAttack90 I look forward to it. I'm a punk rocker and of course ska goes hand in hand with the same scene. Got kicked out of a Mad Cafdies/Irish Carbombs/Mustard Plug(I think) show on my 25th birthday lmao.
Every time is a surprise huh 😂 Ren seems to have no limits creatively. The Big Push are an awesome band. I hope they reform for another performance at some point in the future 💯
The set that follows after this one, it says "War Pigs", but its like this one, where its a mash up of Black Sabbath. Oh, and if you thought Romaine was good on this one, hes even better during that set.
These guys is the tightest band , the tightest , ive seen that can perform live on the street with crowded people around them like less than a 5 meter , nothing come close to such coordination , they are bar none , without a doubt the best in decades , its like they tune into the same brain wave frequency or something , changing tempo and beat multiple time , idk how long or how many time they practice this . Technical musicans/bands should study the big push . Dont get me started on creativity on Ren vocals and arrangement , thats a whole different topic .
The Big Push were active for 5 years, but officially disbanded in 2022 when Ren decided to go to Canada for treatment. Ren and Romain have both said they would absolutely love to get back together with the band, but it's up to everyone. Gorran is traveling the continent and Glen actually left music and is an engineer or something, as far as I've read. Romain, at least, is still very close with Ren. He was the man under the hood in the TV performance of Money Game 2 (as well as in Money Game 1 back during band days) and performed his own set and with Ren at Ren's Secret Garden Party festival. All three frontmen play multiple instruments - often trading off - and sing.

Only three or four of the tracks on the extended album came after Ren moved to Canada. And since no one else has said yet - the origin of The Big Push: When Ren moved back to Brighton after his stem cell transplant he posted an ad for a roommate to a local band group saying he was a noisy guy looking for a noisy roommate. They all busked separately and decided to busk together for fun... eventually officially becoming a band because so many people were asking what their band was called. The soul in this performance is top notch!! I can see what you mean!
Me too, then the 70's, Neil, CSNY, The Band etc
I saw CSNY and the Band on the same bill at Wembley stadium in 74 (? I think).
