Asia and BJ!! Thank you so much for the support guys ❤
❤credit where it's due❤
Yo... y'all are Awesome!
That was a fantastic performance, you guys did great.
This explains why the musicians always get the chicks. 😊
Y’all killed it👍🔥
He was 12 years old when he started busking on the streets he really has put the work in to get where he is now.
@@TheTaffia could you imagine a 12yr old busking on the streets of Britain, would get beaten up and all your equipment nicked.
Yeah he moved from his country of Wales to Bath when he was 18. Study music at the Bath Spa school.
@@Hope...M That is only like 100 miles over the Severn bridge to be fair :D
@@Gazmuswales and england are still 2 different nations
When Romain's own solo brings him to his knees . YES! 🎉❤
Great reaction! Great Video! Much love for Romain! 😍❤
His solo work is amazing as well.
Fwiw, homie tends to do that on like every song they perform live, it’s kind of a trope imo, but he’s an incredible player regardless.
@@SrBaneSinse He sound like Carlos Santana. Is he a Scot?
@@jonnylumberjack6223 French
Hip Hop is a Dread Prez cover, you should check it out, it's a banger.
Road To Zion is a Damian Marley song, Bob's son.
Enjoyed your reaction, much love from England
beat me to it!
@@ryanzeigler9763 I'm quick on the draw lol.
Maybe next time 👍
Yea...and square dance, tap dance, clogging...lol
Dead prez. :)
Thanks. Was gonna post but i knew someone already posted the band names. Cheers
England has a special affinity for Reggae. A lot of reggae artists were supported in their early careers through the UK. I learnt West Indian folk songs in school and a lot of kids my age blended reggae with the punk vibe creating the ska explosion in the late 70s early 80s . We feel the music deep - as does Ren. One love.
You do know that he's Welsh? Born in Wales. He moved to Bath to study music when he was 18. You're exactly right about the English having an affinity ✅
@@Hope...Mapologies I should have started that.. Britain has...
Amen, grew up with ska/reggae beatz in the UK, absolute fire. One love peoples❣️
ya man ✊💚 one Love
@@Hope...MYou do know Bob Marley's father was English?
We live on the same stretch of land.
Led Zeppelin are a purely English band, bit they were influenced by English and Welsh folk music.
I Shot the Sheriff ~ Bob Marley (1973)
Road to Zion ~ Damian Marley (2005)
A Little Bit of Luck ~ DJ Luck & MC Neat (1999)
Hip Hop ~ Dead Prez (2000)
Dj Luck & Mc Neat in the middle of this......f#$%$##$%k!!!!!! Uk got tunes daawwn!💥💥💥💥
Everyone misses Little bit of Luck - it’s a banger!
This medley is soooo good ! I think every single live band could learn something from this.
Agreed.
I can’t get over how multi talented Ren is! And you’re right, the entire band was dope. Great reaction, fam!!🤓🤠❤️
So good!
@AsiaandBJ Hey y'all... the Big Push Commented on your video!
I'm convinced this video / live performance is destined for music archives, to be preserved for future generations. It deserves awards.
We grew up with Reggae and Ska ,Motown, Funk all styles and genre of music in Britain. Before Rap but just as every other genre it has been included.
Hip Hop…I thought Dead Prez? Idk, it’s so fun. I could stand there and listen to that for hours! Thanks for the reaction! ❤
Honestly Ren is phenomenal.
He sure is Renomenal
Hip Hop is by Dead Prez a real deep cut rap song. Ren is a generational talent
The big Push are awesome! I'm addicted to everything Ren! Esp sweet little lady live acoustic version ❣️🔥
I was there that day and I have seen Ren and The Big Push playing live many times. They are always brilliant.
Well I'm jealous of the citizens of Brighton
Can you imagine walking down the streets and hearing something like this? Ren has worked his way to where he is. Shout out to the rest of the band, The Big Push. ❤
Now that is the way to spend a Saturday afternoon, on the street watching something like this.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Ren can do ballet, hip hop, contemporary or whatever style of dance he wants to do. I love seeing your reactions to this. Asia, that smile is so beautiful and infectious. Much love and prayers ❤️ 🙏
I'd love to see him doing ballet 😄
Well yeah... at this point, looking through various videos of him floating around on UA-cam, I've seen him play bass, play the drums, and an assorrtment of acoustic and electric guitars (in a variety of styles). I've seen him do a dozen different styles of music, sing his ass off, and rap at goat levels with a wide variety of flows. And to top it all off... he's a really good actor with an absolutely commanding stage presence.
@@Mr.Ekshin well said. There's also a video of Ren playing the piano and apparently he can play the cello as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back from Canada a fully qualified doctor lol. Seriously though, he's a musical genius.
@@maximus6622 - Ahh yes, I DID see a couple clips of him on piano! And I also forgot to mention perhaps his best talents. He's a helluva good writer and storyteller.
Most of us wish we had that kind of talent. But if you asked us if we were wiling to spend a decade suffering to achieve it... I guess the answer would be NO.
@@Mr.EkshinTotally agree, from his tough childhood to the present, he definitely has suffered. We forgot he's also a talented producer and beatboxer, probably can do other things that you and I will never know about. I suspect you're also right, that he would give it all up for a healthy life. He certainly deserves all the accolades, admiration and respect he is receiving these days. Long may it continue.
Another enjoyable reaction. "The Big Push" (Ren Gill, Gorran Kendall, Romain Axisa, and Glen Chambers) busking sessions, concerts, and live recordings all are amazing and well worth checking out. All but the drummer sing lead vocals at times. Their covers of "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop," "Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard," "Watch Out," “War Pigs,” “Roadhouse Blues,” "My Generation," “Paint It Black,” "An Englishman in New York," “Bongo Bong” are awesome. On “These Boots Are Made For Walking,” “Praise You” (Fatboy Slim Cover), “What Kind Of Woman Is This,” all three take a turn singing. The songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” “Sweet Little Lady," "It's Alright," “Dignity,” and so many others are equally impressive.
The band, at least for the time being, performed their last official busking session and gave their last concert in September of last year (2022) due to the fact that Ren was leaving for Canada to undergo specialized medical care and surgeries for his multiple health issues.
Ren's performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the moon/No Diggity,” “Feeling Good/Trouble So High/Masterblaster (Jammin'),” “Latch,” “What Went Wrong” Part I&II) are definitely a must. Also, his collaborations with Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), Orlean ("Jessica"), his former bandmate Romain Axisa (“French Song”), are all great. Last but not least, Ren’s busking sessions with Liv Sangster are awesome. I recently discovered that Ren also recorded a cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Cover),” that is simply beautiful.
Hi Jens nice to see you again i been a fan of these 2 for a long time glad you like their reactions too.
What a great band and so locked in with each other. It was like watching a hydra flowing and changing in front of your eyes.
I bet standing in that crowd was far better than a stadium performance. Up close and live! Wish I was there.
Hip Hop is Dead Prez, a real old skool classic from their album Lets Get Ill.
This is one of the best street performances I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a ton of buskers in my time.
Don’t know if you’ve checked out Ren’s new drop Illest of Our Time, released on his birthday on Wednesday, it’s 🔥🔥🔥
so funny to this old woman to hear music from the 21st century referred to as "real old skool classic"!
@@PoliticallyPink only just - Let’s Get Free came out in 2000
Ren is on another level
if you go down his rabbit hole you will be amazed : )
One of my favorites. And right after this he covered Black Sabbath's War Dogs! So awesome! Good reaction!❤
War Pigs.
REN!! 🎉 I love watching you guys you have a awesome vibe 🎉 and you guys are a beautiful couple ❤ peace ✌️ from Australia 🦘
You got a note of thanks from the The Big Push you should pin it to the top. Always enjoy your reactions and Asia's smile.
Ren's busking bad (The Big Push) is super talented. Ren "tried" to break dance briefly ... in "What you want" ... which would be another great reaction for you two. Thanks for being positive and open. Beautiful reaction ... as always.
Peace and love to you both. One of the many layers of Ren. Love the reaction to it. Can you imagine, knowing what you know now about him, his versatility and his music, seeing that live in the streets?!! He still plays with them. Dope. I would pay for that experience.
Ren is such a vibe over all genres of music and storytelling. I would pay all the money to watch Ren perform.
There is a forth song tucked up in there called "with a little bit of luck" original by DJ Luck & MC Neat....road to zion by Damien Marley, Bob's son
Completely blown away from this young man's talent.
The guitarist Romain Axisa does some solo stuff - I really like a couple of his guitar instrumentals &5 Beat to the Minute and Blue. He is dropping a new track on Monday 3 April
Typo : should have read 75 Beats to the Minute - sorry guys
Romain responded to one of my comments a few weeks ago and said that he is releasing two new albums this year, one being an instrumental-only album. I can't wait.
Love your reaction to this and as you both say, this is just different level ❤️
Great reaction. Please do the Ren and Sam Tompkins street performances as well they're amazing.
I had The Big Push last year. I was constipated. Ok, I made that up.
Big shoutout to my man Romain Axisa on the guitar! He's an incredibly talented guy who also has his own channel on youtube. Give him a listen people.
Great to see you guys over the pond respect talent. No gimmicks just guys having fun for the local people. Great Show by the way.
Punk, Reggae & Ska were intertwined in late 70s Britain. There was such a fantastic merging of musical culture then, possibly summed up best in "Two-Tone".
If Britain has a musical speciality it's taking influences from many musical sources and reinventing it as something new.
I firmly believe that BBC Radio has a big part to play in this. Nobody in the UK had a chance to listen to just one genre. There was no "R&B Station", no "Rock Station" ...etc.
You really got to hear everything on BBC Radio, and later TV.
Specific music Radio Stations mean you just don't get a breadth of influences.
Perfection! Real talent is busking on the streets , great reaction guys really enjoyed you enjoying this 😊❤️
Hi Asia and B.J. Ren is amazing. I'm very curious to ask now that you are doing movie reactions, how much more do you pay attention to the soundtrack and score. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Thank you for your great reaction!!
No problem 😊
As part of the same performance, they also did an excellent Black Sabbath medley: "War Pigs," "Paranoid." Ren is my kind of musician: versatile, eclectic, unpredictable, tugs at many emotions.
Asia, not only are you a beautiful lady, you have a smile and personality that would melt any man's heart ( I'm ok, my wife is out shopping lol ) Great reaction guys. You're right, what can't Ren do we should be asking? Brilliant performance by the guys.
The song hip hop is from dead prez...however the lyrics he uses 'the thing about music when it hits you feel no pain" is actually a quote from Bob Marley... .so it is fitting
Glad you loved the band is superb and Ren is a magical. Love the reaction guys, champion.
Loved your reaction! I can tell you two really appreciate music.
Yall have to check out Rens newest release "Illest of Our Time" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The last song was from Dead Prez (early 2000s)
The third song they played is -
Dead prez - it’s bigger than Hip Hop
Great reaction guys, the man is multi talented and pure golden, his new song Illest of our Time just dropped and he just keeps getting better, peace out! ✌
I loved reliving that session with you two reacting. Brought me a big smile of pure happiness. On the "Hip Hop" song, it's by Dead Prez. Perhaps one of the greatest hip hop songs for me - the lyrics get me every time. Peace and love
Most of the musicians do cover songs, to make themselves visible. But REN really pay tribute to the song and to the author. Bob must have a big smile on his face upthere😉 keep it burning
He's Welsh. He moved from his country of Wales to Bath England when he was 18 to study music at a school. Welsh accent has similarities to Jamaican so it's not a gigantic transition. He was classically taught by a relative before he moved to Bath England for music performance and so on🙏💯 I love this performance. Great reaction ❤
from reggae to ska to rap...I can't believe how talented he is
They also slipped a little bit of DJ Luck and MC Neats 'A little bit of luck'
Time Stamp : 9:57 to videos end .
After the musical performance . . . what the
2 of you said was interesting // appreciated .
I'm surprised you guys weren't all over his new song. But another good reaction.
Thank you
Yup, The Big Push is the band Ren is in.
Great reaction guys!! ❤ Romains guitar is the one used on Chalk Outlines 😁👊
I absolutely love Ren, and I'm so glad he's getting bigger everyday
Great reaction as usual, but yall need to swap mics because in my headphones Asia is on the right and Bj is on the left.
The hip hop song is by Dead Prez
Just love watching you two 👏👏👏 Although you haven’t seen every side of Ren 🤔, try Crutch 🤯 Beautiful ❤️
I love you guys sorry it took me so long to find you. You for sure got the sub. Well done love your chemistry!
Check out Ren's piano music. It's on UA-cam. Phenomenal
Check out Trick The Fox and you'll see he's just as talented in his Much younger years before The Big Push. Much love and respect from The UK.
You guys should react to the big push 'bongo bong' you will LOVE IT 🎉
This artist is something special. Looking forward to more of his music.
Hip Hop from Dead Prez. Their mash-ups are fabulous!
I could be wrong, yet I think Dead Prez owns the honor of the boombap, hipp....hopp track.
First off I want to thank you guys for the all around entertainment you provide. Next I want to Thank Sean Murphy for Really helping to Bringing Ren and all his collaborators to the forefront, because for as long as I have been listening to Ren I have been hearing your name . Much love brother
I would like to recommend Guns of Brixton cover by the Big Push. I think you'll love it.
You all have to react to his latest drop Illest of our time. All his stuff is great but he goes full on rap rap with like 100 flow switches
More Ren... Bittersweet Symphony, Praise You, Englishman in New York, Bongo Bong, Crutch! Etc.. Ya Cannot go wrong with anything feom him!!!
Great Reaction . My favorite part ? ? ? ? ?
6 to 9 seconds of the actual M U S I C
video while Ren was playing the opening
guitar solo . . . A S I A -- Smiled . Nice .
Hey fam, hope all is good in your hood, peace n love to all here.
#Ren and #TheBigPush = fire
Ren, Romain Axisa wild guitar solo, Gorran Kendall on base and Glen Chambers on drums. Cover mashups and own music is soooo good.
Romain and Gorran have their own UA-cam channels so well worth checking out.
Ren is the whole package...!
Another wonderful cover is Bongo Bong. You'll love it.
you almost had the hiphop song… defiently not black eye peas… nor black thought but HIPHOP is from a group called DEAD PREZ… alwayz luv guys…
Doubletiming reggae is basically ska. I love that so much.
Reggae, Scat, Ska, Hip Hop. Seamless
All those one trick pony “Artists” better take notice
Such a great medley
WOW he is amazing 👍
Criminal amounts of talent
Ren has a black belt in musical jiu-jitsu 😂
Hip Hop is by the dead presidents and this performance is 1 yr old Please check out REN and Chinchilla covering Marvin Gaye’s sexual healing And one dance/drunk in love covering Drake and Beyoncé ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 REN can do it all
You 2 should do Ren & Sam Tompkins ft Angry Parking Lot Attendant . You would probably really enjoy it. I mean you can't miss with Ren period but.
Watch them do Roadhouse Blues, amazing 😁
Great video guys. Asia, anyone ever told you that you resemble Lauryn Hill? Have a great weekend y'all!
Hip Hop is from Dead Prez.
Thank you for such a wonderful reaction. You have another Renegade subscriber.
I'm psyched that you two are reacting to this.
I highly recommend you check out the movie The Commitments. You will love it. Hilarious comedy with amazing music
Black Pegasus put it perfectly, what would a live Ren show look like? My own opinion, he could sell out arenas if he wanted to.
The big push would do these street shows with up to 1000 to 1500 people blocking the streets to hear them, try Ren and Sam Sam Tompkins
Its literally like Eminem and Bob Marley had a baby and that baby is REN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The dead prez. Is the hip hop song.
