Dude your video's are getting better each time. I only recently discovered the flashfly cage and my brother, the CC it provides is unparalleled. Especially for Dual Blades, now we can truly DPS -- shalom
Flashfly cage really falls off in master rank and endgame. I usually bring the vigorwasp or coral orchestra for the buffs or extra faint. Shieldspire is it's uses when you don't want a monster to aggro you of course. Meowlotov is for speedrunning.
well i mean so is what you said the thing with good items is you can really use them whenever you want you may say flashfly falls off in master rank and endgame but if it stuns the monster thats more damage so you kill it faster same with the explosion trap and if you kill it faster you dont need as many heals buffs or a free revive and you say vigorwasp or coral are better but you dont need vigorwasp if you dont die and coral is just a minified version of using the buffs you already should be using from food and the demon/armor buffs hell meowlotov being for speedrunning means that realistically it would be more helpful then vigor coral or flashfly because like i said before if you kill the monster faster you dont need as much healing you have a lower chance of dying and you dont need as many buffs and sure the damage from those two may become less and less useful but its still damage@@neodintchly
and you also wouldnt even need to be very good at the game or against whatever monster you are facing since again you will be killing it faster theres less chances for you to make a mistake that could result in a cart or less chances for it to use that 1 attack that you just cant seem to ever avoid
It really seems like the most powerful gadget. I thought at the start that it only uses flashes but it really seems perfect to use at every kind of monster. ( Elder dragon included ) Thanks for the nice video.🙂
Huh, I'm going through IB again and I'm in the endgame portion where I'm mostly just joining other people's grinding lands to get upgrades before I take on Alatreon, and i was wondering if this particularly relevanted to the endgame, but with all the utility of it, especially that tip 11, it could be pretty great for me! Not for big Al in specific, but either guiding lands or the 4-5 monster event quests for MR grinding. I'm planning on bringing DBs to Al, and AT Nami armour seems great for it, plus i want access to the tempered elder seliana supply cache quests.
I actually just finished 100 hunts in the guiding lands without reporting expeditions until the and I only used Flashfly Cage ☺️ it's amazing, saved me a ton
I use plunderblade when grinding and meowlotov cocktail when I'm not, but I do see some value in the flash fly cage. My only issue is against elders, nothing works except the boombug cage, don't get me wrong a free 180 damage is nice but meowlotov does it better. Against normal monsters I will have to give it a go to test it out. If I like it, thanks.
Awesome video, I forgot about this one after taking on Iceborne's elder dragons, should try it out against the Fated Four 2 (rajang, stygian zinogre, raging brachydios, and furious rajang, all of them are crazy). By the way, have you ever played MH Rise or are you planning to play it (or MH6, for that matter)?
Thanks, i saw someone do it and thought to myself: "....that has to be a mod to make the gadget traps actual traps, right?" But I'm surprised they actually work like that lol
Flashfly Cage is definitely really solid, particularly in progression where that 180 damage is a solid chunk of the monster health pool. By the time you reach master rank it does kind of fall off a bit though with the flash resistance and enormous health pools. By that point I usually switch to coral orchestra in my playthroughs for the free attack buff (also by this time I'm wealthy enough to get my own traps and flashes). Although, ever since my Kulve grind on my main, I've had my palico on standby and go completely solo. The aggro stealing gets really annoying sometimes... Also please get yourself some Whetfish Scale+, it hurts having to watch you spend ten seconds sharpening xd.
The aggro stealing in itself doesn't annoy me when it creates openings, what annoys me is when my palico conveniently position himself where I am about to dodge an incoming attack just to find out that the monster is aiming at my palico and not me and hit me. I lost the count of the times where I was perfectly dodging an attack just to be surprised and ask myself : "did the monster just predicted the future"? No, it was just my palico f****ing with me, damn. Sometimes I think I'm far enough from an attack but no, the monster aims at my palico which is bit further away from me so it hits me. It drives me crazy sometimes. Some monsters are really hard without the palico so I still bring him with me most of the time. Also I don't use Coral Orchestra anymore because the Gong often ruins my openings.
Oh wow..cant wait to get this..just finally done making paralyze set..this will be good combo for monster😂😂😂 really dont care how long does it take to kill one..lol
@@GiddyFoxGamingJust one question sir..do you know how to get..for example nergigante greaves Y ..the one only show are A and B.. Did i do something wrong..didnt get it?😅😅

@@GiddyFoxGaminglol would you still recommend using the flash fly cage even when fighting elder dragons ?

I don't know friend, I just did 100 back to back hunts in the Guiding Lands with Flashfly Cage and it worked incredibly well 😊
@@GiddyFoxGaming That's an exception.

Thanks friend, I appreciate it 😊
Now 13 .4 way underrated still .
Hes one of the best and doesn't give confusing instructions or
Say " don't use this " every couple of minutes.
It really seems like the most powerful gadget. I thought at the start that it only uses flashes but it really seems perfect to use at every kind of monster. ( Elder dragon included ) Thanks for the nice video.🙂
It's not as effective against elders, but it still does a lot. I will always see Flashfly Cage as the best
Indeed but the flash and explosive skills of the Flashfly Gage can be really effective against elder dragons if you use them right.
The flash can be really good to throw to the ground elder dragons witch use attacks from the air or generally air attacks.
And the boombugs can soften a tough body part and making it more vulnerable to attacks.
I wish I helped. 🙂
did this legend js upload while streaming
Lol 🤣 it was already uploaded, just needed to be set to live haha

The Flashfly Cage works too! It'll stop monster attacks and blind them. It's just the shock trap that doesn't ☺️
Really, I guess it's just bad positioning on my behalf.

But i got ya bro.
🤣🤣
Hey, sorry for commenting on an almost year old video, but does the electric trap part of the flashfly cage gadget allow you to capture monsters?
No need to apologize! I'm happy to answer questions 😊
And yes! It does everything a shock trap does but better 💪

I was surprised too, but they're great! And they're better because you can place them anywhere your cat can go, even on vines and such!
I did the flashfly cage and no palicos were at the camp, why?
You gotta find the first one and follow him to the camp. The first palico should be in threes around the area 17 camp
Done, thx!@@GiddyFoxGaming

Wait theres more than 3 gadgets??
