Hey Juan, I love what you did with this 550 Spyder. It’s a 10/10 on the cool scale. Of course you know the James Dean connection with this one. Your pen paint application looks awesome. I didn’t notice any flaws at all. I’m positive that the lucky recipient of your giveaway will be very pleased. Thanks for taking part in my 1 year YT channel-versary. I know we’re all very busy, so I’m honoured that you made time for this. That meant a lot. Porsche guy approved! - Andrew 🍁🇨🇦👊 BTW, for those reading comments: If you didn’t catch it, that’s a picture of my adopted city - Basel, Switzerland - on the end screen. Nice touch, Juan!
I actually got this casting to do a replica of James Dean's "Little Bastard" but the decals I made were so small that you couldn't even see the Porsche logos....Glad you've liked my "Easter egg" at the end. I knew you'd notice. It seems a beautiful place. All the best Andrew
@@MatchboxResurrection If you don't have time to go through all 43 Porsche videos this weekend, be sure to check out Ron Raby's entry at SoMo Diecast. He did the 550A as a James Dean "Little Bastard" and it came out great, right down to the license plate. 😎 Be sure to send me a glamour pic, Juan. Include your full name (if you wish); your current town in the UK and hometown in Spain too! andrewprice04@gmail.com Thanks. Recap video coming out on Monday. 🍁
@@MapleLeafCustoms I've watched it last night. Very impressed with it. I just think the printer I was using don't have very good definition. I've sent you an email. Looking forward to the recap. All the best Andrew

@@MatchboxResurrection The color did turn out great. Sorry about that one spot on the door, Juan, and about all the grief that ink caused you. However, you really improved the looks of that Spyder. It went from being an "okay" model to being a gem!
Looks great I have never tried the pen ink but then I very rarely use an air brush but seeing one of these in a color other then silver is a great change
@@yayasgaragecustomdiecast7198 I haven't seen it yet mate. It's hard to catch up with so many videos and comments from that many people....I will get to yours eventually...
Juan, that’s such a beautiful color and finish. Sorry to hear that the pen ink messes up your airbrush. But I’m sure you find some more unique paints to add to your arsenal. Maybe nail polish will be next, who knows? Take care my friend.
Ah, but... what FLAVOR is it? lol/ Great job as always buddy. Didn't James Dean have this model in real life? I went with the 914 and hope You trully like it 🙂
It's a real shame that the Bic Airbrush range can't be trusted Juan, it's a great colour. Did you ever try the green? The wee Spyder looks great. I've watched quite a few of the Porsche videos; funny how many folks 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 use the obvious 911.😁
Yes mate, I've tried green and black ink. The black gives you a very nice dark purple. but it behaves the same. As for the green, the color was good but the finish was rough and sandy. Shame because all of them have like a metallic hue that look really cool. Cheers Dougie
@@MatchboxResurrection Is it worth experimenting with various other pens Juan? Even ignoring the cash savings, if you can find some successful inks, you'll get some unique results - colours nobody else is using.😁

Very nice ,I've done the same with the suspension, put some tooth pick to lower the Porsche. Great job mate

I've tried nail polish and it dries really fast on the tip of the needle...Thanks Geoffrey
Nice paint with the pen ink. May you could try some acetone to thin it out. I use it sometimes instead of thinner. But great job on the spyder
I'll try that next time if I do it again. Thanks a lot Ricky

It is a beautiful color. To bad you can't get it to mix properly. Very nice car otherwise.

Did you say ink from a bic pen? I would have never imagined it would turn out this nice. Looks fantastic brother.
Yes, the ink from a Bic pen has some sort of metallic hue and it's a very rich red but you get very inconsistent results
Nice work shame about the paintwork other than that exceptional
