Beautiful work as always. They always come out like jewels. But now I'm getting sad ... Only 1 more to go. Hopefully you'll make more someday. I'll miss relaxing with your awesome videos and that sweet Dan Lebowitz soundtrack.
I have restored a couple of the cabriolet versions and I have a couple of the later saloon versions (with the opening doors rather than the boot) in my to do pile, but this Superfast version is the one I really want to do first to go with the convertibles. The narrow Superfast wheels really suit them. Great work on this one. 😎
@@MatchboxResurrection the Silver Shadow II from 1979 to 1984 had opening doors (MB39) I keep telling Mrs Aitchworld, they aren't toys, they are scale models 🤪
That's a sweet restoration Juan. BTW, I really like your diorama. I know it's supposed to have a post-apocalyptic feel; but to me it also looks like an old packing container converted to an office/home for someone running an old, mostly depleted junkyard. Always a pleasure to see a new episode! ✌& ❤
Great paint match Juan, looks perfect, just like the factory colour. I've got both of these cars - somewhere, but I could have stared at them for hours and never thought of swapping over the boot lid - brilliant idea and so simple, 𝒊𝒇 you think of it.👌
Nice one - I see you had fun! I thought when I sent that, that it might end up as either spares or as a custom pickup, but it has turned out really nicely. Great colour - great save!
It didn't come up in my feed. I'm slow to watch and respond. I learned recently that original MB color was a shade of clear red over a gold undercoat. Since the license plate matches with the blue convertible, I figure Boris and Natasha used one car to commit the caper and the other to elude the authorities! Continued Health and Wealth to you and yours! Peace and Love❣️ Have fun with your toys!
Another very entertaining video Juan & great result, when I 1st started watching I thought you were going to cut the roof from the red & attach to the blue to make a 2 door, maybe I will give it a try 🤔
I have a somewhat unrelated question. But do you know how to separate chassis and body of a plastic 1/43 Norev model (Peugeot 204), without breaking stuff? I would like to somewhat restore it. The windshield is broken, the rear suspension shot, (It's sitting on its ass) but the plastic body doesn't seem to be warped. But if I can't even open it, there is little hope for this otherwise nice looking model. 😅
I guess it will open in the same way as other castings if it has got some sort of rivets. In the other hand if the body and chasis are both plastic and they are fused to each other you could try to separate them with a scalpel. Good luck mate. Have fun
Great work as always.
Better than new. 👍👍👍
Thank you so much Mike
didnt expect the boot to fit, the corniche looks so much lower and sleeker. great paint btw
