My boss was a very senior lawyer & took me shopping for an expensive timber suit hangers. He insisted I replace all my suit hangers with timber hangers. Yes they do take up more room but the gap between the suits allows them to air better. He provided me with several wooden hangers for my office closet as he was a man of style.
A small note about wool-it doesn't absorb dirt and odour the way cotton does. A lot of people don't understand this and think it needs constant dry cleaning after every half a dozen wears. But one of the magical properties of wool is it is kind of self cleaning. It should only really need to be cleaned when it stinks or has stains.
I don’t ever use lint rollers (glue/adhesive) on expensive suits as it “destroys” your suits. Use the brush option instead. Weird that this video recommends it.
I have two questions, 1. I'm 17 and live in houston, I have always liked dressing up, but my family hasn't always been able to afford it; now that I have my own job, I can't find anywhere to affordably get this type of clothing, are there any tips you might have for me? 2. I have naturally curly hair and i love it so I don't want to have to comb it or put a bunch of product in it, are there any hairstyles that would look god and still allow my curls to show?
Thrift stores. It's the best place for young men to get started on their style journey. A suit is hard to find, yes, but sport coat and trouser combinations are relatively easy to find at a good thrift store. Just be able to identify a good quality suit. Most thrift stores will sell sport coats for $10-20. They cost $250+ at a department store unless you get trash quality.
There is a consignment store in the Village. High quality men's clothing at very reasonable prices. Also, in January, many of the men's stores put on great sales. If you choose the thrift store route, find a good tailor.
My Father wore suits everyday. He had a camel hair brush and before he put it on he would brush the jacket...also when you sit down never unbutton a double breasted jacket.
If someone thinks UK and England ethnicities are cowards and on top American is thee Bravest, then counter Preventive Psychiatry must be employed. I also recommend gold and silver wide hanger for Suit. Gems are optional on the hanger.

Mistake number 2 was probably the reason a guy in my parallel class said to his friends hw his suit was tight in our (idk how to say it) last day of school at the event. Or it was just too small (probably both). My mom said I had the best suit of that event. I agree. There were good suits other than mine, but in my opinion I looked the best
Lol I was walking around in a nice suit yesterday in a busy downtown. I saw less than 5 people wearing suits the whole day....the ladies were definitely checking me out tho 😂 Maybe guys shouldn't be a rush to ditch the suit so fast. Ladies still love a dressed up man. Just an observation.
I think the suit is coming futher into style with each step away from necessity created by the casual work clothes trend. Suits are becoming less formal and more fashionable which enables greater expression of individuality and also more affordable and accessible. The days of trying to confuse people of their gender with cross dressing and identity labels are beginning to push men towards dressing in the most masculine classic styles. The power suit is dead but the suit's days of being in fashion have already begun. Suits carry reputation for the wearers, and portray a look women find attractive. Being smart, responsible, successful, powerful etc are easier to show through a suit than most other garments.
Wait, what now? Suits are very much still in style... It remains the go-to for men when dressing up. That's not going away anytime soon even if particular suit styles change.
I expect a continued drift towards casual, with sports coats / blazers (or even vests) replacing suits in many circumstances. Suits will mostly replace tuxedos.
I have Pee stains in my suit pants on the inside. No joke! The inside pocket lining is made with light fabric, and I have to spend extra time shaking the dew off the lily for this reason. Not to get graphic, but because the pants are usually well fitted, I have to really grab it by the “stem” and make sure everything drips out completely before zipping up. Again, I’m serious and not being crude. It’s a real issue for me.
Regarding the button part, I don't agree. Maybe on today's terrible style and skinny fitting suits but back when everyone wore suits there was no such thing as "open the button when you're setting rule", a high quality tailored suit could be worn in all person's positions without looking bad or causing damage.
Biggest mistake is men wearing a suit with just one button. Even the most fit man looks like the suit is too tight on them. Check your history. Be a leader and not a follower. Get your suit properly tailored where you're able to button both buttons.

Don't abuse your suits! Suits are an investment, both in terms of money and time. I keep mine on cedar hangers, stored in a cedar lined closet 🌲

Nice!
With the suit going out of style, what new version (or iteration of the suit itself) do you think is likely to become the eventual new standard?

Try using a tissue.
If one wears suits frequently, invest in a steam machine, never really need to dry clean again.
