So many of you have asked for a of our new house tour so I thought I would give you a preview before it is fully decorated! We haven't finished unpacking and there is crap everywhere but hey, that's the reality of moving. We are really happy to be here and look forward to making it out own (mandatory plants and cats everywhere). Leave any requests for house related videos you would like to see in the comment section!

the secret is : researching every single plant that you have and take care of them as articles say. plants have very different needs.

There’s no magic way to make them live. I would also suggest to make cards and stick them into soil to remember how to take care of each one.

I LOVE than hanging plants in your room, you should keep them there. The triangle-type shelf in the hallway..I agree with your dude. I think it should go above a desk or table or something maybe?? I also dig the yellow mirror a lot😋 and you should totally do the “both” option outside with the chairs and plants🙃 I think adding lights would also really make the outside feel welcoming. I envy your ability of having cats AND plants. I've had my cat for 15 years and since I got her, no plant survived around the house. I used to have this little bonsai I loved so much... first victim. I can't even hold a little aloe vera. I dream so much that one day I will live in a house or apartment with a porch, garden or at least a balcony so I can finally grow aromatic herbs and flowers.
PS: just out of curiosity, what do you do/plan on doing with the bag of hair and what made you keep it? My ex's grandma used to keep all her hair and her reasoning was that she wanted to turn it into a pillow stuffing for when she died.
HellCat Omg, I love that detail about your ex’s gramma and the coffin hair pillow! It’s so quirky and awesome! I have the same problem with plant eating cats! Grrrr, so annoying. I’ve been looking for Wardian cases to put plants in. They protect them from the cats and look awesome to boot! My bigger plant problem is that my house has no light.
HellCat Wow, I have over 200 plants all over my house (no knickknacks or other decor) and my cat has never even paid a single iota of attention to the plants. Well, except the one time he was confused and sick with bladder crystals and peed in one of the planters, but other than that he’s never bothered them. Interesting story about your ex’s Grandmother. My great grandma would always clean all the brushes in the house. Makes me wonder what she did with the hair! 🤔
My cat just likes to munch/destroy the plants. Actually, it's not like she's eating them, she just rips off the leaves or plonks into the pots or just does not avoid them at all on her way to the window. I gave up... At least she's not eating my cables. I fostered another cat for a while and she started chewing at the cables behind the pc and my headphones. Had to put protection on the exposed cables and buy new headphones which she ate 5 minutes in taking them out of the package.
I was talking to my friend on Skype telling him what she did and mid-sentence I get cut off... she already cut the wire xD.
As for my ex's grandma, I always found the practice a little bit creepy but who am I to judge? She wasn't hurting anyone and I hope her wish was/will be fulfilled when time comes.
I’ve heard if you put human hair around in spots outdoors it wards off certain critters as we are a natural enemy.
My cat will dig up, chew on, and completely destroy any plant I have :( even cactuses! Little demon.

@@itsblitzzz I was thinking cursed. But seriously, my parents have those exact same couches, a set, and I automatically fall asleep on them when my bottom touches them... They are the best. If you can find a pleather dup, do it. They remind me of a therapist's couch.

Whenever my lips get super chapped I slather some manuka honey on them before bed. It's a little hard not to just lick it all off, but when i wake up my lips are soft, plump, and hydrated.
Also, that yard is dreamy 😍😍 I'd never want to come inside.

I don't even know where to start, because I love every single accent of your house so much. Especially the fact that you two don't try to force any modern-like fancy look. It looks so cozy!! And the backyard!!! Life goals! If you ever need someone to cat-sit and look after your house, I'd fly straight there from Germany! ^^

That rug really pulls the room together.
Chapped lips tip.....daft as it seems a dab of margarine or butter sometimes does the trick when expensive cures and chap stick etc are not working.
Especially if you lips have got to the stage where they are splitting and bleeding.

What a gorgeous house! It has so much character, I especially really like how unique the bathrooms are. And I'm super jealous of that island in the kitchen (and the dishwasher, and the whole kitchen haha)! I live in SF and our tiny kitchen means I bring my baking set up into the living room on the coffee table, which is fine, but I'm really looking forward to having a home one day with a more functional kitchen. The outside area is so peaceful too and I really love the natural look of the wood deck. I've been looking for a way to bring more greenery into our apartment and love how the hanging plants look, will need to look into finding a way to make that work. Thanks so much for sharing!
I use a baby toothbrush to exfoliate my lips and then just apply carmex to deal with chapped lips. Your kitchen is beautiful! I love the counters!
Deb Reaves yes Carmen and good ole Vaseline are my go to‘ Sid I’m out of my Burt’s bees. I always forget the toothbrush thing but have heard it before.

The Ventura Flea market on Wednesday is amazing and underrated you would find great prices there . Look into balmshot lip balm , we ride in the motorcycles and the wind does a number and that stuff is the only thing I’ll ever use again

For the lips, i would definitely recommend leaving coconut oil on them for an entire night. Completely solved the problem for me. 🙂

MENTHOLATUM or Natural Ice by MENTHOLATUM are the only thing we use for chapped lips. They are inexpensive but excellent for stopping chapped lips in their tracks!

For chapped lips I do 1 tsp of sugar 1tsp of extra Virgin Olive oil 1tSp of honey . Make it into a Paste you can add more or less whichever you perfer rub it on your lips wipe off witha. Wet paper towel and put some chapstick after that you will be good to go hope this helps!😊 so happy to see yours and nicks place coming together
San Francisco company Brk has incredible lip balm and water bottles! They also make a cap for their signature bottles that holds their balm in the top 🙏

What a gorgeous home and property! Love all the light and spaces for plant babies. I'm in L.A. as well, and my husband and I popped into a Pasadena open house for fun and curiosity (and free cupcakes!) the other day - it was a 3-bedroom with teeny rooms with no closets, no central heat or air, no place for laundry, and the world's tiniest living room...for $839,000. HAHAHAHA. When the realtor asked for my opinion on the price I was thinking, do you mean comparatively to other homes in the area, or do you want my social commentary on the ridiculousness of the current market? But man, those cupcakes though. :-D Love that you're into thrifting - it's the best, but I tend to draw the line at soft furniture because of all the...eh...weirdness that hides out in there. Enjoy settling in and thanks for sharing your space!

It's freaking huge! I have a big home, and I hate to clean it up. I don't go crazy with the cleaning. But big houses need a lot of maintenance...

OMG, the house is incredible. Uh you might want to sage the couch and the room. I use Burts Bees on my lips and thank you for Poshmark. I love resale shops. I rarely buy anything new. Also you might want to dumpster dive. All my lamps and some of my art pieces have come from the Kirklands near my home. Most little blemishes or cut lamp cords, easy fixes. 💜
My lips were splitting as well, and get chapped very quickly. I usually slather on aquaphor at night and Elizabeth Arden non-scented 8 hour cream during the day. What is interesting is those weren't healing my repeatedly splitting lips. I got the Fenty gloss bomb in Fu$$y, wore it overnight because I was excited, and the next morning my lips were healed. After that I have been pounding waters to get through this dry winter air. Idk if you will do any of those things since you take a natural approach, but that is what works for me. 🤗

Lips!! Your lips are always on fleek I hate to see them split! I am a Burt’s bees ( lip balm ) fan myself, grapefruit and mango being my favorites. They literally feel like silk. I get mine at the drug store big name brand but I’m sure you can find just about anywhere. While my lips aren’t as gorgeous as yours they never get chapped and my husband always tells me how soft they are! Good luck and I love your personal attention vids! My favs ❤️

I don´t know if it´s just me but I find it a little bit hectic. I felt that i couldn´t enjoy the views enough. I guess it´s also partly the cutting. Pure shea butter has saved my lips a few winters. Also make sure you're not dehydrated. Even if you're drinking enough, I've been tripped up by some sneakier culprits, like not realizing ginger is a diuretic or not getting enough salt in my diet.

I Love, Love, Love all your content. I was inspired by one of your videos to try and make homemade pasta, but it turned more into a vegan dumpling mac n cheese. Anywho, enough rambling, I just wanted to say that an outdoor shower area might be sort of neat with that space in the back if its private enough.

My lips have been dry and splitting and nothing will hydrate them and now I've got a rash around my mouth from licking them too much. I found a tube of Lanolips, the multipurpose one and so far its the only thing thats helping.
