      I love Mat, but he will be never as dominant as Froning. Mat had full admiration from audiences, Froning had their hearts.

    • @Tuggers1986
      @Tuggers1986 3 роки тому +11

      @@Wotan123456789 he is already more dominant than Rich.
      More games wins. Winning by bigger points margin, and winning in an era when the athletes are better and more well rounded than they were 7 years ago

    • @Wotan123456789
      @Wotan123456789 3 роки тому +2

      @@Tuggers1986 An ignorant comment, my friend. The sport has evolved, yes, but its evolution cannot dictate performance/virtuosity - in that case what Olympians did 30 yrs ago is average according to that comment - silly.
      More Games wins? Nope, Froning was in the top of the podium 8 times - Fraser 5.
      It was his choice to become a team member and even changing the format he manage to reigns again.
      Mat leaves the sport as he is unable to cope to the stress related to training.

      @@Wotan123456789 the teams have NOTHING to do with the comparison. You are talking about dominance and that CAN be compared. In the individual Games that Rich participated in he was less dominate overall than the Games Mat did. As stated before... more individual Games wins, higher margins of victory. It's not even an argument... numbers are numbers.

    It’s actually amazing how chill and nice guy is Mat, it’s seems like he was holding so much of his coolness back, while he was competing. I never thought I’m going to say this, but i like “retired” Fraser more. 🐐

    Just listened to your podcast with Rogan. Don’t know anything about CrossFit, but you have a really chill humble personality. I’m sure you’d do really well in BJJ. You have the work ethic, humility and discipline. 👍

    @Fra5er, have you done that workout anytime recently? Would love to know what time you got later on into your career to see how you improved throughout the years after winning your first Games.

    seems like, eventhough mat is the most dominant champion, he never felt truly accepted. it is true that negativity as a motivator is underrated.
    maybe i'm mistaken but, that makes his achievements even greater.

    UA-cam always brings up the 2015 workout, but this is the first time I've seen this. Almost as if Froning is the UA-cam favorite... I think this was a point towards Matt showing up Froning.

    How do the numbers work in the workouts names? Like, what’s does 15.1 mean or 16.5 or 21.1 hahah never understood

    • @quintonmcqueen1382
      @quintonmcqueen1382 3 роки тому +2

      It's the year of the open, so 21.1 is the first open workout of 2021, and 16.5 is the fith open workout of 2016

    • @gas-vc2zo
      @gas-vc2zo 3 роки тому +2

      The first number shows the year, the second the number of the workout that year.
      For example. 17.2 is the second open workout that took place in 2017

    It was right for Mat to be the one required to change because at this point it was him vs two former champs....he was lowest in the pecking order....I mean he has since addressed this disparity but.....
