This is the prequel! The scar is Suga's way of saying that most pain is self inflicted. The real completion happened at his final concert of his solo series, where had the same door and the concert ended with him happily going through the door. Symbolically leaving all his shit behind and heading to a fresh beginning. Really awesome song!
I cried watching this song with heavy heart for Suga and also cried with happy tears when i watch the concert where he opened the door and waved happily 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
As a mental health therapist this video makes me cry every time. The amygdala is the part of the brain responsible for helping us processes emotions and traumas. What i see often is when I'm doing therapy is people not having the emotional language to describe what they have been through to process it, so when yoongi is saying I don't know your name, how are you feeling that's what I am seeing from him. He's talking about not having the emotional language in the beginning to talk about what he is feeling, but as the song goes on he gains the words to unpack and process what he has been through. It's so well done and a song I recommend to many of pts.
Omg this is exactly how I interpreted it too! Every time I hear him say 'I don't know your name' I cry and my stomach clenches like it does whenever I'm feeling an emotion I can't name. Like, you know you're feeling something and that you're feeling it intensely but it's too complicated to put into words, and when you look back and think about the way you felt then you get the exact same feeling. I think the emotion he puts in his voice when he says 'I don't know your name' really conveys how it's hard to describe even looking back and I guess since I relate deeply it always makes me so emotional to hear him.
Suga has been open about his mental health (OCD, Depression & Anxiety), something very uncommon in Korea due to cultural stigmas against mental illness. When he was young, he suffered a lot of trauma. In 2016(?), he created the alter ego AgustD so he could get out all of his anger and be completely honest in ways he couldn’t within the group. This was kind of his savage era. He addressed his haters straight on. He was young and full of ambition. He released two mixtapes and an album taking us through his mental heath and maturity journeys. He is very stable and happy today. Now onto the trilogy: Daechwita - King AgustD represents the Suga who started at the bottom and clawed his way to the top of the music industry with BTS. But this King also represents how this incredible success is making him prideful, corrupting him into becoming a power drunk tyrant. The King’s scar is the freshest, which will matter. Street Boss AgustD’s scar is a bit more healed, meaning he is probably a more future version of himself. He is coming back to destroy the Prideful King, thus bringing him back down to earth. Haegeum - The dirty cop AgustD is often theorized to be Street Boss AgustD a bit more grown up. His scar is very faint, but still visible. Cop AgustD is corrupted with greed this time. He has made a lot of money through shady crimes. Then in strolls the carefree hoodlum AgustD. He has no scar at all, indicating he is from further up the timeline. He doesn’t care about the Cop’s secret money stash, he took it to punish the Cop for his greed. Even though he is a regular street thug, this is obviously the happiest version of Suga. He seems happy and well-adjusted, even if he is a bit morally ambiguous. In the end, he kills the Cop filled with greed. Amygdala - Although this video was the last released, it is actually the prequel to Daechwita. The amygdala is the part of the brain that controls trauma, ptsd responses, is responsible for your fears and emotional memories. It actually protects the mind. In the video, the blank, black room is inside Suga’s amygdala. This is where all his troubled thoughts live. It’s also a depiction of his mental health. After his car accident (yes, this really happened to him), his mind created AgustD in order to destroy his fears. (Pride and greed.) Giving himself the ugly scar is his way of representing real-life Suga creating the alter ego AgustD to help him process his emotions, fears and traumas. He doesn’t get out of the room at the end of the video, but at his final concert of his tour, he was wearing a gray outfit and exited the final stage through that white door, symbolizing he is healed now.
The Amygdala is the part of the brain that helps you survive and protects you from bad memories. No matter how many times I watch this video I get choked up at the end knowing all the things he has gone through in this life.
Suga is ft. on Juice Wrld song "Girl of My Dreams" and Juice Wrld featured on a song "All Night" with Suga & RM back in 2019 for their BTS World OST although most of those songs for that album were recorded possibly 2017/2018. If you liked this song and Haegum then I think you will like his 2023 album "D-Day".
This is showing the birth of Agust D. Suga giving himself the scar was to show that his pain was mostly self-inflicted in how he responded to trauma. And how he created Agust D. The past videos have been showing him going through iterations of himself, killing off old versions of himself as his scar heals. And this video shows us that he gave himself that scar.
The fact that he grew his hair out specifically for this video so he could cut it after filming the inside scenes so there would be a clear contrast with the him outside on the bike.. just shows his dedication and attention to detail. He is so good at production. Truly a musical genius. Our Minstradamus.
This is the most real and personal and transparent we've ever seen Suga. And so real, for all of us who have experienced similar things, i'm talk provoking about how our bodies are made and respond thank you things happening in our lives
Thank god that was a joke because I was about to press pause!! 😂😂😂 I'm sure you will get enough comments. These are all connected. His internal thoughts and feelings. I think the most amazing part is Suga's last concert in Seoul before enlisting. The last day of his D-Day tour. He cried A LOT throughout like three songs. We were all basically watching someone go through closure - as much as one can get - to all the pain. It was a pretty crazy moment. He had that same door propped in the back of the stage and after his last song, boldly opened it and walked through it. I think everyone was crying 😂😂😂 Thanks for your reactions!
Suga said himself his mixtapes and the D-Day album follow him dealing with his issues, first letting the anger out, than doing a deeper and deeper look on himself to finally making peace with the past and end on a positive note looking into the future. If you go throw the lirics you see that in a very clear way. He really is a poet (just like RM) but doing from a first person perspective
Valeu! Hi boys, how are you? Well, I'm not going to write a long text this time because there are comments here explaining it haha I love this song so much, it's my favorite by Suga and I always get emotional listening to it, Suga is an incredible human being who taught us to be strong and never give up. Thank you boys for your reaction today, I couldn't start my day better, take care and see you later 💜💜💜🇧🇷🫰🏻
this song and snooze is my favorite of suga ♥ amazing song, lyrics and meanings... CURIOSITY TIME: there's a korean book called almond (i read and its so envolving), anyways, namjoon (RM) and suga read this book, that's why he's eating almonds in the video cause the size of the amygdala it's the same as an almond which the book inspired this song sorry about my english, im from brazil and love ur reactions :)
omg. my name is Ami and my middle and last name initials are G and D so for a second i really thought you were about to say my full name when you said "Amy G Dala". the "ala" part brought me back to reality and i stopped being creeped out 😅🤣
This is more of an autobiographical song, a story of Suga's life, especially during his years of struggle. Everything in this song really happened, even his mother's heart surgery (making him question whether it was right for him to be born) and his father's liver cancer. But now his parents are fine. Suga was in a car accident while making deliveries on his scooter during his trainee days before BTS's debut, where his shoulder was torn. He said he remembers seeing the tire next to his head. He never told Big Hit about the accident, fearing he would be cut from BTS and their debut. He worked for years with extreme pain in his shoulder, until 2020, when he had shoulder surgery. In some live performances, you may see him not moving his left side, lifting his arm, or rubbing his left shoulder area. The pills you see him taking in the MV are probably painkillers, but he used to take cortisone shots before performances so he could dance. The pain he endured is heartbreaking! And that's why he's not in the military, but rather doing military service through the social service department. Amygdala (ah-mig-dah-lah) is the part of your brain that stores your traumatic memories. He's the size and shape of an almond, so you see him eating almonds in the MV. He needs his amygdala to save him from all his painful memories, asking his own brain to help him process everything he's been through, but also begging him to forget some of the things that still torment him. Oh, during the last show of his D-Day tour in Seoul, he managed to get through the door. This trauma will always be a part of him, but now he has overcome it and can move on because our AGUST D, (SUGA, MIN YOONGI) is healthy now! He knows he is not alone in this world living with depression, social anxiety and OCD. And when he openly exposes his emotional and mental baggage for the world to see, he shows us that we're all in this together. His words and lyrics offer understanding and acceptance to those who feel marginalized and stigmatized by the true anguish they feel. Suga is basically saying that it's okay to not be okay, but that we should seek help and have the chance to be our best selves. To do this, we must love each other! 💜🇧🇷
My take on the trilogy, but 1st you should listen to The Last & Dear my friend too, also talks about struggles with depression & self exit, which is the word that is bleeped out, so anyway my take Daechwita - Gang Yoongi is fighting the King Yoongi who represents all those haters he dealt with early in his career, gang Yoongi was able to kill his anger he had towards them ( king ) notice both versions of Yoongi have the scar Haegeum - notice only Detective Yoongi has the scar, Bad boy/thief/gang Yoongi does not, in here Yoongi is angry or pissed at the anti fans & social media who allows these haters to make up false information & derogatory video's about him & his members, & his past hate the king which detective Yoongi represents, gang Yoongi is himself now according to Yoongi he said that he only planned on making these 3 albums and was retiring Agust D ( see Suchwita episode where RM is interviewing Suga/Yoongi ) here Yoongi is able to kill all his anger Amygdala - this is obviously all about Yoongi, the ocd, self exit attempt, medication he was on, his family health issues as well as his own, all the struggles he went thru being to become an idol, all of this has been stuck in his amygdala which is the part of the brain that processes your emotions ( fun fact Amydgala is derived from the Greek word almond which is the shape of your amydgala, roughly, in the MV the pills he is popping are actually almonds that represent those pills. so Yoongi shows how he had been trapped in his amydgala. In his final final D Day concert in Seoul, at the very end of the concert when Yoongi is saying his farewell, behind him is that same door in this MV, as he walks to that door he turns the handle, the door opens and he walks thru, waves and closes the door, final words come up that say "Everything's gonna be ok" Yoongi has over come all his anger, & dealt with his struggles and is now doing ok, whether he continues to write using Agust D I guess remains to be seen, or if he using Min Yoongi, Producer Min Suga or whatever I guess we will find out once his new solo is released. That is my take from things Yoongi has said and my interpretation - agree or disagree, but this is y opinion only Thank you boys, it's been so great seeing all 3 of you together, wish Jake was back for good 😢 Incase I don't catch a live chat, Merry Christmas to you Evan, Alex, Jake, Eomma Julie, Dingo, & Annie , Evan's wife & daughter, sorry can't remember names, to all the loved ones & friends! Borahae💜😘🥰 Jake have a safe flight back to Japan 🫶🏼
He's showing also that this is the beginning of august d with the cut in the eye, because that's in all the three videos of songs where he kills himself or kills society and does his own thing. He actually at the beginning of b. TS had the exact same accident, which kept him incapacitated, sometimes with pain, and because he didn't want to be dropped. He didn't tell anybody, but later on you see, a couple years ago, they did some performances without him, and they opened up a space for where he was because he was having surgery. They were popular enough that he could do that. Take time off
I don't know if you noticed but there is part in the video that shows yoongi sitting and eating something.. what he is eating is almonds. This is intential and I don't know if many people know this, but it's because yoongi read a book called Almond by a Korean author (i apologize i dont know his name off the top of my head) and it's about a young man that has difficulty expressing emotions and in the book his grandmother feeds him almonds to help grow the almond in his brain, which is the amygdala as it's about the size of an almond. It's a really great book and I highly recommend it as a read. This book was bug influence on this song and mv for yoongi, you can see I'm reading Almond on In the Soop.
Hey guys V just dropped his new single called Winter Ahead it is awesome and the mv is just superb and a little freaky. I think you’ll would like it. It’s in the Jazz genre.
Excelente reaccion! Saludos! 💜
Yoongi has a song with Juice WRLD (r.i.p.) its a postpartum song called Girl of my Dreams. The scar he gave himself, is the scar he has throughout the series, and the last standing version of himself in Haegeum, he healed completely. In the behind the scenes of this music video he said that we give ourselves scars, how we deal with them is how long we let them affect us.
I've seen many different theories and interpretations, and I guess it's always from our own perspective and experiences. I think that you can interpret each song/video on different levels BUT if you look at Daechwita and Haegeum from a psychologist/symbolic perspective, it all begins with the accident and the trauma, creating the characters with the scars - and how they look at the world, what characteristic they have...
Love this reaction. 4:20 😅😅 But seriously this song makes me very emotional and the video hits me hard, I guess we all have our battles and demons. You can search whats the function of the amygdala. Thank you for the reaction. ❤
Just like I cried watching this MV the first time, I cried again watching you react. Because this song and MV are so meaningful and deep, it's like seeing the real Yoongi and all the pain and trauma he went through and especially the courage to expose this to his fans ❤
He also did a song I think within the last year, a beautiful song. You could really hear the singing voice. It's beautiful. I don't know if someone can help me out remembering what that title is
From Suga's Agust D's 2nd mixtape - Strange featuring RM!!!! From Suga's Agust D's D-Day album - Huh!? featuring JHope!!!! These are both so relevant today and are classic!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Gracias!
Yoongi’s scooter accident was much worse than shown in the video. A car actually hit him on his delivery scooter and he was pulled under the car. When he woke up from unconsciousness, the wheel of the car was right by his head. This happened pre-debut and he couldn’t say anything about the accident because trainees were not supposed to have outside jobs. He suffered for years with his shoulder injury, getting cortisone shots before every performance so that he could do the choreography. Finally, with COVID, he was able to have the time out of their schedule to get surgery. He now has good movement in his shoulder. Yoongi’s been through a lot.
actually this is the beginning of a trilogy.... in Amygdala he gets his scar in Daechwita is slowly healing and in Hangeum it's completely healed.... watch them in order... then you'll understand better.
The bad things that the amygdala processes (emotional memory) end up being a protective memory: If you were stung by a bee, the amygdala gives you the feeling of fear because of the memory of the bad symptoms you felt and this fear protects you against another sting. The shape of the brain's amydala resembles the shape of an almond and that's why we see flashes of Suga sitting there eating almonds, super calm, watching the whole process happen. The motorcycle accident occurred in 2012, when BTS was still training and BIG HIT was on the verge of bankruptcy, and he helped as a delivery boy. He lied saying he fell down the stairs and this gave him chronic pain made worse by the intense choreography. It was only operated in 2020. About his parents, these are real facts. Your parents are well and healthy today. Your shoulder is treated. The end of the video is frustrating, as he can't open the door and get out. We will only understand him after seeing the end of the live show in Seoul, when he leaves through that same door, showing us how he overcame his difficult past. It was exciting. This song makes me cry every time, especially the part where his face is contorted with his pain. I have inattentive ADHD, and the scenes with Yoongi dragging himself across the floor & struggling so hard to open the door are daily emotions for me. 💜
This is the prequel! The scar is Suga's way of saying that most pain is self inflicted. The real completion happened at his final concert of his solo series, where had the same door and the concert ended with him happily going through the door. Suga walks through that door at the end of his last concert. Basically, he is telling us he is ok now. Agust D is healed and no longer angry.
I cried watching this song with heavy heart for Suga and also cried with happy tears when i watch the concert where he opened the door and waved happily 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@BTSArmy4ever-z4j Same🥺
@BTSArmy4ever-z4j Me too. I saw him open that door, and I said aloud... "He went through the door." What a brilliant moment that was.

Haegeum - notice only Detective Yoongi has the scar, Bad boy/thief/gang Yoongi does not, in here Yoongi is angry or pissed at the anti fans & social media who allows these haters to make up false information & derogatory video's about him & his members, & his past hate the king which detective Yoongi represents, gang Yoongi is himself now according to Yoongi he said that he only planned on making these 3 albums and was retiring Agust D ( see Suchwita episode where RM is interviewing Suga/Yoongi ) here Yoongi is able to kill all his anger
Amygdala - this is obviously all about Yoongi, the ocd, self exit attempt, medication he was on, his family health issues as well as his own, all the struggles he went thru being to become an idol, all of this has been stuck in his amygdala which is the part of the brain that processes your emotions ( fun fact Amydgala is derived from the Greek word almond which is the shape of your amydgala, roughly, in the MV the pills he is popping are actually almonds that represent those pills. so Yoongi shows how he had been trapped in his amydgala. In his final final D Day concert in Seoul, at the very end of the concert when Yoongi is saying his farewell, behind him is that same door in this MV, as he walks to that door he turns the handle, the door opens and he walks thru, waves and closes the door, final words come up that say "Everything's gonna be ok"
Yoongi has over come all his anger, & dealt with his struggles and is now doing ok, whether he continues to write using Agust D I guess remains to be seen, or if he using Min Yoongi, Producer Min Suga or whatever I guess we will find out once his new solo is released.
That is my take from things Yoongi has said and my interpretation - agree or disagree, but this is y opinion only

This song always makes me cry suga is a phenomenal artist ❤❤
this song and video are so deep and there's so much going on, that actually watching and hearing it hurts a bit its insane
Suga is my bias as well (with Jin)! + Hobi, V, JK, Jimin and RM bias wreckers!
Up

Hope you get to listen to Snooze by him soon :)
The AGUSTD behind the white door, I think is Yoongi in his Amigdala. He tries desperately to get out of those memories.

Excelente reaccion! Saludos! 💜
This gives me goosebumps every time 💜💟♾️💜✌️🇮🇪
YEEEEESSS!!!! This is my favorite song from the trilogy 💜
This MV always makes me cry
obrigada pelo react!!!!!! 💞

This is my favorite song from Min Yoongi, my bias 🥹
Just like I cried watching this MV the first time, I cried again watching you react. Because this song and MV are so meaningful and deep, it's like seeing the real Yoongi and all the pain and trauma he went through and especially the courage to expose this to his fans ❤
Yeay suga my bias too ❤💕

Now react to" the last" by agustd seasaw, first love
Amygdala 😍😍
He also did a song I think within the last year, a beautiful song. You could really hear the singing voice. It's beautiful. I don't know if someone can help me out remembering what that title is
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜SUGA
This song was a personal life of SUGA
From Suga's Agust D's 2nd mixtape - Strange featuring RM!!!!
From Suga's Agust D's D-Day album - Huh!? featuring JHope!!!!
These are both so relevant today and are classic!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Listen to Suga Snooze. It’s beautiful
Gracias!
You must watch the fan made MV for Snooze. Woosung is singing the chorus. The song is beautiful and different from most Suga songs.
suga ctually has a song with Juice WRLD
SUGA 💜🇧🇷
AGUST D 💜🇧🇷
YOONGI 🇧🇷💜
Love you guys!! 😘
Jimin - WHO🔥🔥🔥
Jimin - Set me free pt2🔥🔥🔥
Ahh Suga have some emo tunes but you will find out when you get to albums. (Or you can cheat and listen to it on your own😋) haha
Neuron by j hope please
actually this is the beginning of a trilogy....
in Amygdala he gets his scar
in Daechwita is slowly healing
and in Hangeum it's completely healed....
watch them in order... then you'll understand better.
Please do snooze with woosung.. such a gorgeous song
Please react to XG - Howling & Woke Up
The Last pls..
Happy Holidays guys!!!!

He sang this with band on solotour, that was amazing!!
Just trying to remember the name of the song, that was about his friend that he couldn't help. He bawled on stage. That tore my heart up.
@ Oh, It's "Dear my friend" !! beautiful and emotional song...
This song makes me cry every time, especially the part where his face is contorted with his pain.
I have inattentive ADHD, and the scenes with Yoongi dragging himself across the floor & struggling so hard to open the door are daily emotions for me. 💜
Watch it live please
