    I run the Milwaukee landscaping tools but I do have multiple batteries to use. 2- 12amps and 6- 5amps. I always try to run the 12’s on the blower. Great tool for someone with a smaller yard and already has the Milwaukee tool setup. It’s always the batteries that run expensive.

      @Manny Rosales I love it. I can’t believe I was cleaning with a broom before. I still keep a broom just incase but I have not needed it . I used to take 15 minutes cleaning . Now it’s just a slow walk from the nose of the trailer . Takes 1-2 minutes .

    So it does have an adjustable trigger for the speed. I haven’t tried it in turtle mode but in rabbit mode it works pretty well and at a lower trigger speed the battery lasts much longer. I had the same issue initially until I figured that out.

    Milwaukee 18V 4.0ah batteries aren't for tools, I only use my 4.0ah in my radio, minimum 5.0ah in tools but I recommend 9.0ah and above, if you have more than this in your battery tool range then you should have multiple batteries available, I have 10 Milwaukee 18V Fuel tools, 7 batteries and a 6 dock battery charger, I'd get through your yard easily.

    "5 mins" ... How old are your batteries? Also, 4.0 ah batteries are made for drills and other tools that don't have big motor, sustained operation. I regularly do two residential properties, trimmer and blower, with my 9.0 ah battery, occasionally having to throw on a 5.0 ah to finish up. I've been considering replacing a few of my 'red' tools with 'yellow' tools, so I'm reviewing 'pros and cons'...team 'red' is sticking around for the yard work.
    Ultimately, this blower will satisfy the needs of 99% of city dwellers, and a good number of rural folk, particularly when it comes to CONVENIENCE...need to blow a bit of debris away from the walkway or in front of the garage, or even clean up the garage floor after a little woodworking, then this blower is perfect.

    I just bought one yesterday and THEN saw this video. Backwards Man at it again... so anyway, I have the 5 aH battery and get a little bit more time that you did with the 4 and it's still not enough juice to last very long at all and I have a typical urban property. Although I haven't timed it but I think I'm getting about 10 min on the high setting. I bought it out of frustration after getting fed up with the Echo gas power PAH model being so terribly unreliable and not running when I need it to be running.
    The output on this device is impressive, I will say. And I agree with pretty much everything in your review. What I'm not so impressed with on the part of Milwaukee, is the fact that they market this and pretty much all their equipment to sound like it will take on everything you throw at it and come back for more... all with that damned annoying cheezy heavy metal music blasting in the background. But it's simply not the case with their higher capacity demand equipment like this, their saws, drills, etc. They need to clearly state that these tools are almost useless without AT LEAST the 9aH HO batteries and charger. These are quite expensive and not too easy to get. Buyers should really do their homework before adopting this tool and battery system thinking that "I already have Milwaukee so it's all compatible". It's not necessarily true. The HO batteries take hours to charge in the regular charger. Like, a realllly long time (I know this from my neighbour who is a small scale contractor with all Milwaukee tools). So now I have a $240 blower and I'll still need to spend a bunch of money on a new battery and charger - even though I still have the M18 charger and 5.0 battery.
    Home Depot here is almost useless since I walk out empty-handed more than 50% of the time because they don't have what I need. They sell the equipment, but not the batteries and chargers for it in the store. Sure... buy it online. No. I need to use it as soon as I get home not 10 days later FFS.
    Oh and one last thing, you missed the little hanger insert tucked into the bottom of the fan housing that looks like an elongated V that conveniently allows a round screw head in to hang it up on.

    • @splitarrowfarm
      @splitarrowfarm  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks, Peter and I totally agree. This was not made for the smaller battery but if I was going to go electric then I had to give it a try with the many batteries I have for the other tools. Typically I circulate them out on 2 chargers (just because I have so many batteries). However this would not be helpful while I'm walking around my yard carrying all those extras just to get another 10 minutes when I really need an hour. In the end, we decided it was not worth it for us to have this 250$ blower that only lasted a few minutes. I really like the Husqvarna products so am thinking of going with this amzn.to/3CxHG7y as I have heard decent things. We will see and do a video on whatever we end up with next. Thanks for your support!

      @@lamiglass1 I've been running a 9.0 ah HD battery on my trimmer and blower for about 6-7 years, and have been able to do two residential properties, occasionally throwing on a 5.0 ah to finish. That 4.0 ah battery that he is using is old tech and looks well used, so not exactly an accurate representation. I'm not going to say that the Milwaukee trimmer or blower are equal in performance to my old Honda 4-cycle gas trimmer, but in terms of convenience, it wins big.

    No, Milwaukee tools are never worth it. There are better options. Milwaukee is owned by a Chinese company and their tools seemed aimed toward people who want to spend more for average quality tools. I've never been impressed. That's my take on it :)
