- Challenge 4-S2 done in 4 Turns.
Characters:
Mario
Rabbid Peach - Just about everything she has is useful her. Shield and Heal help hold back the onslaught of damage. She also has Push weapons, which are useful on turn 1 and whatever other scenarios pop up from there.
Yoshi - His ground pound helps alleviate RNG. He also has high HP and a strong primary weapon. Super Chance also guarantees a Push on Bwario.
Summary of Fire RNG:
-You can't avoid getting hit by the Pyroclasts, so it's better to find ways to make the most of it. The Fire RNG in this level is a problem because the cover blocks make it so the characters usually run far away into the barren northern and southern regions of the map. The solution to this problem is using Yoshi. His ground pound can eliminate many cover blocks by turn 2 to give you better burn patterns. Destroying cover blocks on their last leg when they are revealed as a Fire Cover block is also helpful.
Even with that, there is still a low chance you get patterns that can actually give a 4 turn win. It also comes down to your ability to adapt to whatever scenario pops up.
-There are 3 different methods of Fire RNG in this route: Pyroclasts, Fire cover blocks, and Bowser Jr.'s Melee weapon. They all generally yield similar results when a character is hit by them. Bowser Jr.'s is interesting since he can attack you then Magnet Dance in certain situations.
Notes:
-Mario has a weaker Bounce Melee weapon equipped in case there's a situation where a character can be bounced towards a zone.
-Rabbid Peach should typically wait to use Heal until turn 3. The enemies shouldn't have enough power to take down your team if you time it well.
-Bowser Jr. and the Lava Queen are have high HP, so it's usually best to not waste attacks on them. Bwario is always defeated on turn 1 and Bwaluigi may be defeated on turn 3 if you feel you have a reasonable shot at winning without using his Magnet Dance.
-Bwaluigi's Honey can cause issues. If your other teammates can't get in range for a cleansing jump, then you can try using a Push weapon from Rabbid Peach to get out. In this video, it turned an otherwise grim situation into something amazing.
-The skill trees were uniquely fine tuned for this battle. Each character had their defensive abilities and useful techniques maxed out along with their ground and air movement to weather attacks and be in range of goals.

This one had me in tears and you just completed it like it was just a normal challenge
It's definitely not a fun level even if you're playing normally, that's for sure. My memory is hazy, but it definitely took at least a couple hours to get this strategy to work and find consistency to an extent.

I wonder how many turns this would take with perfect fire rng
3 turns isn't too far off. Any lower than that would take miraculous RNG, if it's even possible. We don't know exactly how Burn works, but it isn't completely random.

Naw dude no more hours on this rng bullshit mission. Game was all smarts (admittedly easy to figure out) until that challenge. Now it's a question of how many hours will you spend until you get hit just right. Ruined the experience. If that's what the dlc brings, I'm not even gonna touch the donkey kong stuff.
Some of the RNG here can be cut down once you know what you're doing, but it's definitely the worst designed leveled in the game.
The Donkey Kong DLC is nothing like this. In fact, it's actually easier than the main game. There are also harder challenges levels that are challenging in a fair way, including Ultimate Challenges. If you liked the main game, then you will probably like the Donkey Kong DLC.
@@jaroh1240 Lol you know something, as a grown up, now that I'm way calmer than I was yesterday, I'm glad you gave some solid input back to me. For the record, I did spend a couple hours on that mission. Tried it myself a few times, couldn't get it. Tried a couple guides, none of it worked out. It kept just feeling like a super lengthy dice roll. I think this game is great, and I usually don't even like turn-based games. But I'm the kinda gamer that saves the biggest and latest missions for last. I like to build up to it. So to find out it's based on randomized results, honestly just killed the fun of going after the final challenge. You're right about the fact that good knowledge helps with the rng aspect a little, but it's still an honestly bad challenge. Good idea made poorly in my opinion.

I have been playing this game for quite some time and i can honestly say that it is a badly made game. Some levels are literally impossible and badly structured. They say Sparks of Hope is better and I haven't tried it yet, but it was a flop, so I don't think this is a good game either. If there were no Mario characters this game wouldn't be played by anyone
There are no impossible levels, and I don't think any levels are poorly designed outside of the one in this video. Even this one is an optional level in DLC. Sparks of Hope does some things better while doing away with some things that made Kingdom Battle good. It underperformed in sales, but it was absolutely not a flop. Whoever told you otherwise probably just read a headline and never dug deeper to the truth.
@@jaroh1240 agreed the game is pretty good and not poorly made at all except for this one challenge level being bs and down to mostly rng but this video definitely helped a little with a few things like using yoshi super effective to knock an enemy into rabbid peach to make her land on a square

@@nicoladiricco8587 of course I’ve played well made games. GTA V, Mario galaxy, assassins creed. I just thought that this was another well put together game. Don’t get me wrong this specific mission is complete booty cheeks but the rest other than one more I believe are actually quite good puzzles

I think so as well, but there is a massive amount of RNG in this level. I may return for a 3 turn run, but I'm content with it for now.
