  • Ultimate Challenge 4 done in 8 turns. Shoutout to Fidel for helping find a route with more replicable spawning.
    Characters:
    Mario
    Rabbid Peach - Her Sentry is both a very strong attack and a way of Pushing Toad further through the level. She also uses Heal on Toad so we can hit Toad with Super Effects multiple times.
    Luigi - Itchy Feet is used multiple times to give Toad enough distance to reach certain areas quickly. The Bounce on his Sentry is used to knock Toad further as well. All of his offensive abilities are helpful for defeating enemies in this level.
    Notes:
    -This level has a bizarre, seemingly inconsistent spawning system. What was done here is definitely not the intended order of events. After turn 1, there should be multiple Ziggies and Smashers spawning in the otherwise barren area we run through, for example. If you're finding that the spawning order in this video is not lining up with what you experience in the game, you can try restarting the level and quitting before turn 1 ends. In my experience, that was able to recreate the odd spawning a couple times, but never again.
    -The most important part of this spawn order is that there is a turn after the Bucklers spawn where no new enemies arrive. This gives Toad enough time to get into position for the Bounce without getting defeated by the enemies.
    -Luigi equips the "Slay on the Beach" Sentry to avoid knocking out Toad. he might survive anyway, but I don't think there's any benefit to using the Attack from the Future II Sentry either way.
    -Luigi's skill tree is finely tuned for this battle. He sacrifices 2 upgrades in team jump range to max out his other abilities and get a 60 damage dash. Any more than a team jump range of 8 isn't needed for this battle and Luigi really benefits from the upgrades in the other areas.
    -The Bounce on Toad to the higher ground provides multiple turn saves. The intended way to go through this level is to have Toad walk around in a circle around that area. The Bounce skips that loop entirely along with many enemies that are supposed to spawn after the wave with Calavera.
    -It's possible that Peek-a-Boos may lure Toad away from the goal using Magnet Dance. It wasn't a problem this time because their spawning oddly didn't happen immediately after the Valkyrie wave, but it's best to prioritize taking them out regardless.
