- Animal Crossing: New Horizons unfortunately has fallen victim to a huge bug! Here, I tell you all about the glitch and some minor fixes until it gets patched.
Update Nintendo patched this glitch in version 1.2.0. I still was receiving comments saying this was still happening to people but I received a lot more comments about other issues that were happening, so I have made a sort of part 2 to this video here: • Beware EVEN MORE Villa...

Hi, hello, it's been a while since I updated this video. In my last pinned comment I acknowledged the patch in version 1.2.0. I then received a bunch of comments telling me that the glitch was still happening despite the patch. However, I got a lot more comments about other glitches that were happening. In animal crossing I placed a plot in case I found a villager I liked, but a few days later the plot was sold without me inviting someone. I’m not sure if this is a glitch or if it’s just normal but the plot was sold to my dream villager so I don’t care lmao

It took Nintendo a while to fix this one because they didnt understand what people reporting it was trying to say. I was an early reporter of this and had to call 5 times before the person understood the new issue

You put up a sign in front of your house to say you’ve moved out and head for the airport. You step onto an airplane, and it takes off.
There, you may see your old friends, who moved away recently.
The airplane may land at some point, on someone else’s island, and maybe you’ll get off and start your new life there. Maybe one of your friends will.
Or maybe the only island in sight is already full, and the plane drops you off at an empty airport, until another one comes to take you to a random island. By then you’ve forgotten your past, truly starting a new life.

The fact that characters supposedly get moved to "The Void" before being deleted from your game gives me the creeps; For some reason my thoughts produce a really dark concept.
It's just like, they're just chilling in this dark, empty realm becoming more and more glitched and broken as the days go by before finally just being deleted.
Lol, maybe that could be a horror theory as to why you can't enter their house when they've "moved"?

The weird thing was that it said he moved out... like that message was intentional for something. It can't just make it up...
After 2AM your villager that’s moved out will have that sign on their door until it reaches 5AM. So it’s made up but not for the glicth
@@madisnzz i gave daisy away to one of my friends and as soon as my friend left my island i had the "I've moved out" sign on my door and it was in the middle of the day, not 2am. it's still so creepy tho
If somebody adopts your character then the next day it will say "I've moved out" and the day after the plot will be empty.
@@notnik1738 no not really, if they're in boxes they're moving out the next day anyways. as soon as my friend left my island after the leaving cutscene, daisy had that message immedately when i tried to enter her house (meaning i couldn't interact w her anymore) and the next day she was gone :)
Okay, I'm not at all knowledgeable in coding but I'm making a somewhat educated guess here; sounds like the "I moved out" glitch is for some reason putting the moved out house onto the island the villager was supposed to move in *to*, while also removing the villager from the island they're moving out from as intended. I hope that this glitch is something that can be corrected via a patch.

Hello, everyone! 1.2.0 has been out for a little bit now so just thought I’d update: This glitch appears to have been successfully patched in 1.2.0, I haven’t seen anyone report it happening (unless they’ve gotten hidden amongst all the new things) but there does seem to be a few other problems that have come out of the patch such as wrong villagers showing up, villagers having the wrong exteriors to their homes and issues when time travelling when people are moving. So adopting villagers seems to be safe again but be careful of the new problems and make sure to report any issues to Nintendo Support!
This video shouldn't even be up anymore. Now you're just confusing people. You should at the VERY LEAST edit the title to say it has been patched.

i found a similar glitch. one of my villagers has been in boxes for 5 days and every morning when i get back on the game, isabelle says they’re moving out ‘tomorrow’. yeah, that’s hasn’t happened yet.
You can have someone pick up your villager I think (if they were moving OUT and not in)
I had no idea about this glitch and did a really risky move yesterday, got a villager (Butch) from someone's island because they were in boxes. Luckily the glitch didn't happen to me, but damn the "I've moved out" thing sounds scary.

This thing happened to me 2 days ago. A villager recently moved out and the day after she left, a house plot was available. I just left it alone because i didn’t have tickets. Next day, it still wasn’t sold. All the other times a villager would move in it would take around 1 day for them to at least be there cleaning their new house. Next day they would be roaming because they would be done moving in. 2 days in total. The house plot is still available. What should I do?

I have an extremely detailed island. Flowers, paths and furniture on every space. I love my villagers, and I have built good relations with all of them. I would hate if I lost them.
The new update didn't fix it! It just happened to me AFTER the update! 😭 Judy moved in and was fishing. My friend came to visit online. When she left, I went to check on Judy and it said she moved out! I'm devastated. I didn't even know about this glitch til I researched it after it happened 😞

A few days ago I was supposed to move to another island my previous neighbours kept hitting me with nets, my body is still weak from it, however once I moved out I fell unconscious.. My eyes were aching a whole fuck ton and I couldn't bare it, but what could I do I was unconscious while subconscious.. I finally had woken up only to be surrounded by darkness and right beside me was a note saying:
"You're now glitched.. How was the faint you experienced earlier listen buddy you're done for no one can enter your house with the note saying I moved out and you can't leave here so have fun fading away into the oblivion :)"
That broke me.. See I love company believe it or not and to find out I'd die in darkness set off all *im done kill me pls* triggers in my brain so yeah I've been sitting smiling in a void of darkness watching as each pixel in me fades away.

This “glitch” sounds like the random Nintendo switch of shame, where people who duped the switch over and over on the spinning box glitch found a glitched Nintendo switch on a box that they can never move or pickup next to their resident services area. (After the duping patch)
Looks like people using Nookazon and villager duping are getting similar effects that probably might be unintended but might be a residual outcome of the early duping patch.
this can be fixed! I had 2 switches stuck on the ground that I couldn't move. once I got terraforming I stood near the glitched items and did the cleanup service through the terraforming menu. this put them on the recycling bin and I was able to sell them yesterday.
Perhaps people should stop cheating and the game would work perfectly fine? just a suggestion.

When I got the “I’ve moved out” message when I had to TT to give Tipper to somebody, Ketchup kept crafting the WHOLE day. Didn’t have another craft until the next day.
The moment you realize you can glitch out all houses and have the entire island to yourself...Making you completely and utterly...alone....

“The void” sounds like a story I created for one of my old characters. He was basically a video game character but was deleted and went to a dark world where all the deleted characters went to be forgotten-
I have almost the same but it's for OCs instead of video game characters! Whenever I stop using an OC they just get dropped in to the void lol
Well I created this entire OC world and didn’t think about it for a while, so I’m sure a couple characters got dropped into the void 😂

There’s another glitch where I moved out Raymond and moved in Alli. Alli moved into Raymond’s house with amiibo (She forced him into boxes). After he moved out she got his house exterior not her original (I know bc I had her before) I could see this as useful if you liked a villager but not their house.

That's what happened to me too! What should we do? I'm glad I'm not the only one. I got a Whitney through the campsite and got rid of rocket but when she moved in, her house exterior was Rocket's. I want it fixed because I hate it.

mariah What Im going to do is make Walt move out naturally, then that will make it so the plot will be free (removing “Colton’s” House). Then I’ll invite Walt back, just to see if that will fix it.
I’m happy that I’m not the only one! I just moved Kabuki in through my campsite, but he still has the exterior of Anabelle’s house. I love Kabuki, but it’s soured by the reminder of Anabelle when I look at his house.
P i n g It worked for me, if you move the villager that lives in that house out, just Time travel or wait until the next time you get a new villager and it’ll be fixed. DO NOT Time travel backwards during this process of moving in a new villager.

Why is the text “I’ve moved out” even in the game?
When someone visits your island and invites your villager in boxes to live on their island, in the same day, the villager will eventually close their house, leave, and the message will pop up when you try to enter. It happens between the "in boxes" phase and the "empty plot" phase.
Not sure what time it's meant to be triggered, but it happened for me at 10pm once, I've seen people say it happens at 2am, so it either varies, or depends on the time for the person recieving the villager.
@@Zonose I think it triggers it when you're still playing the game way past when they where supposed to leave, like if they where in boxes at 12 AM and you stay up till 5-6 AM without closing the game

@@TODFXMEN2000 Nah they don't move out immediately after they're adopted, but I don't know for sure what decides when they do leave.

I remember like 2 weeks ago i found goldie, told her to move on my island, then annalise (never encountered her) bought the plot. i was shocked and annoyed cuz i love goldie and i never got a glitched plot. that kids, is called, unaware luckiness.

You probably didn’t save when you got Goldie, as the plot would have been filled by her.
However, if the plot is empty for more than a day, you get an RNG villager.

I don’t encounter villagers either and they come to my island anyways when I have an open plot. I got Diana from that and I was happy because she was ADORABLE

“As Raymond was drinking coffee, after he completed packing up at his home, he hears a knock on his door. He figures that it’s just another buyer of his, after he’s been bought and sold for millions and millions of bells. So he watches as an interested human being walks in.
They convince him to move to their island, but this time, they say stuff like, “I promise, I will take the greatest care of you” and “You will never, never, ever be bought and sold ever again!”
“You mean the world to me...” This caught a massive amount of his attention, as he accepted the offer.
Onto the day that he was supposed to move out. He was overwhelmed, and very excited! Finally, he gets to be treated like a normal villager. But... Once he came out, he saw a black world of absolutely nothing! No flowers, no sky, no house, just him and his suitcase.
Hours and hours pass when he realizes that he is glitching, second, by second, by second... He cry’s a loud “HELP!” But he can’t hear anyone. He yells, screams, and even made some awfully weird noises.
Until, he almost is glitched out of existence... he gives up hope and accepts his fate. Meanwhile, the villager on her 5 star island was time traveling, looking that her glitched plot is gone! “Great! That glitch is finally gone! Now it’s time to go Raymond hunting via NMTs!”

There is a glitch where, if you move a villagers house on to an area that has path, you won't be able to remove the path. This happened to me. I moved the villager to a new location so that I could get rid of the path, but the path would not go away. I couldn't put a new path on top of it, I couldn't turn it to water, or add an incline. I did figure out a way to fix this though. The "permanent" path that was glitched, was in a square shape, but not filled in in the middle. Once I filled the middle in with more path, I was able to remove all of it
The "I've moved out" glitch literally just happened to me today and I have that new update, was it supposed to be patched or not cause it's still happening. The glitch happened when I had a villager in boxes because they were moving, they normally do not move until the next day, but for me they were only in boxes for about 10 minutes and I invited someone over so they could invite the villager to move to the other persons island and right when we go up to the door it says they've moved

Oh so this is what happened to Bill. He moved out and moved into my friends, he dint adopt him he just moved in. And on day one he never saw Bill.
He saw him in a ceremony and the day when we saw Bills house it said "I've Moved Out". We were so confused he just moved in, in the next two days he just moved out randomly.
I'm so glad to know what caused this, it was such a strange event. Glad to know it isn't that villagers randomly move out.

There's actually another glitch where a villager you kicked out and you have a new villager move in from your campsite the new villager will keep the old exterior of the Villager so like Raymond has Drago's exterior
That happened to me when I invited Wolfgang from the campsite to replace Ketchup then tt backwards which was most likely the cause of it, hope they fix this problem soon! 😭
The exterior? That’s actually not a glitch, you can take the items and move them around if you want, nothing will stop you

I didn't even know this was a thing, I'm very lucky to have avoided this when I was getting Static from someone else.
It's weird though because to have the message "I moved out" display in game means it must've been written and then coded in somewhere which means this was either intended as part of a feature they were going to include that the developers decided to abandon, or actually some sort of entirely intentional but inconvenient easter egg.
It does happen, it's kinda hard to come by tho. When you have a villager in boxes and invite someone over to adopt them, they will move out the same day but later at night, and that's when the message shows up, the plot will be empty the next day.

Thanks, I've heard numerous reports of this glitch, so I've been trying to look for how to avoid it. I don't want the same thing to happen to me. :(

I had Raymond visit my campsite, so of course I took him in. He said he’ll move in if I get rid of katt.As much pain and sadness I had letting her go, a small price for Raymond. So he moves in and uh..., The exterior is still Katts place.His house is inside but it’s just kinda weird...
This seems to be happening to a lot of people and it just happened to me today, I need this fixed. I switched rocket out for whitney, and one main reason was I HATED rocket's disgusting pink house but when whitney moved in her house was rocket's exterior!

I sell my villagers often so I can confirm that it appears when you have someone take your villager in boxes and when they leave the house will say "I've moved out -(the name)" because they are going to move on the other person's island
"If you are the one removing the villager not receiving the villager and this pops up it is supposed to happen"
That line saved me from having a heart attack.
Hooo didn't know about this. I've had a full village for a while and been trying to kick out an ugly villager for a month. I ended up only getting my 1st invited villager wanting to leave so I let her go. I gave her to my friend and time traveled ahead so he could snatch her up and I could get started on finding someone cute and new. She left and I found Marina after only 12 nmts! I was so jazzed and sped up her box in day. I was able to visit her while in boxes and now she's part of my town. I've wanted her since before getting the game so I would have CRIED if I lost her from a glitch. Lol
Ninty needs to check up on this though since folks are still glitching apparently. I'm still trying to kick out my ugly villager so I'd hate to glitch out another desired cute one!!
Just happened to me today. I had moved my villager to my boyfriends island and moved her back cuz she had a starter house and i wanted her proper house. She moved back, was in boxes, and then properly moved in. And now today i have the “Ive moved out” message on her house. :( i just hope they patch this so she can come back

Has this been patched? I know it’s been a few days but I’m really worried because I just visited my friend’s island and Apple from her island was moving out. The main reason why I’m scared is because I have Zucker and Raymond and I don’t want to lose them:(
According to the patch notes, this should have been fixed. I haven’t seen any reports since the update but it has only been a few days, but this is a good sign!
