    Rise above the haters and misfortune, never stoop.
    "I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed... Failure makes me work even harder... Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation... You can practice shooting 8 hours a day, but if your technique is wrong, then all you become is very good at shooting the wrong way. Get the fundamentals down and the level of everything you do will rise." -- Michael Jordan

    I watch Jordan over and over just to see what he was doing. The one thing I will say is that you never ever saw him standing up. His body was flexed down dribbling low to the ground ready to spring up. He also had a fundamentally sound shooting stroke. His stroke was so smooth. Incredible body control in the air; that’s difficult to teach.

    • @vgfjr505
      @vgfjr505 Рік тому +5

      I thought about air control. Just from a physics point of view, you want to keep the ball close to your chest while in the air. You want to be able to move it to prevent the ball from getting slapped away but still close to your chest. Watch Jordan while in the air. He had a great feel for this. It’s basic physics.

    The way MJ talks about basketball is always so fundamentally driven. Offensive player, defensive player, basketball: full expressions treated as controls for logic-based decision making in a parasympathetic mental state despite intense physical exertion and environmental stimuli. His moves that we perceive as trick shots or “spectacular” were simply the result of a master who would’ve taken a standard layup but was put in a position which eventually led to solutions that awed.

    When I immigrated to chicago in 1998 from Mexico, I was so happy thinking that I will be able to watch the great and legend Michael Jordan live,sadly the year that he retired.

    Is no one going to say anything about how casually he just palms the ball with one hand?!? MJ had huge hands and that helped his game a ton as well

      I don't get this "special treatment" BS being spewed by mostly salty haters and youngins. Mj was an offensive player first and foremost who likes to attack the basket, who is being guarded round the clock since he is the top scoring option, so its natural he gets fouled often. And he is only 11th in FTA. If hes in the top 5 then i can say he gets special treatment.

    I just want to jump with my head 7 inches above the rim, pump fake and do a 360, while being fouled by one of the 2 people guarding me and throw the ball behind me with one hand and still get the basket, you know a simple MJ move .
