I watched this early this morning. My dad passed away yesterday. He was 94. He was a fireman or boiler attendant on the steam trains in Australia back in the 50’s and 60’s. He never lost interest in steam locomotives. I had to start sorting some things today Most of the railway stuff will go to the big rail museum where he lived at Ipswich Queensland. It was really great to see all the railway stuff in this home. I hope it is never vandalised. Thanks guys.

@@user-ym3dk6dc8syeah that carpenter really took their time. I was referred to a man to finish a job that a man had halfway finished, but his daughter an only child was killed ,and needed a couple of weeks maybe a month to take time of to be with his family it happened in California 2300 miles away. He'd been gone 5 days and this rich prick wanted it finished now! Beautiful work.his tools were still on the job arranged in perfect order. The best power and hand tools money can buy. And so many different tools so he didn't have to change out blades and bits. More different sizes of clamps than I'd ever seen. First of all no way id work for the azzwhole. And id have to do the work myself. My employees could never match his work. Of course the guy was working by the hr who wouldn't right? Wanted me to give him a straight price to finish 😂. Guy wasn't in any hurry to get it finished so why the problem? I didn't wanna tell this guy what a dick he was. I wasn't touching the job. I told him I couldn't do the quality of work and he should really wait the month on the guy to come and finish. I told him you're in no hurry right? He said no it's just the fact guy said he'd be done in a certain time wow! What an azz. His wife overheard us talking. He wanted me to price building a home theater in his basement. I said I was told he needed small job finished and that wasn't the case. I was booked up and couldn't do it either. His wife said she was going out but waited on me at gate at entrance to the golf community they lived in. She thanked me for setting her husband straight and telling him to wait on the guy to return. 7 yrs later the old man husband died. And who did she call to remodel a bathroom?.... she called me.. gotta know when to say no ,and when to hold your tongue, it will always pay off in the end.

This is not abandoned. It's clearly being renovated. That's why there is scaffolding. That's why there are tarps covering woodwork. That's why there is a dumpster full of rubbish waiting to be hauled off.
They found nothing. They were there by invitation. The lights are still on. They clearly came on a day where the workmen weren't there.

    • @Weepydruid

@@Fektthis I don't think you understand..... I mean I get your comment was a month ago but this is abandoned.... I've seen many places abandoned that look like they are being worked on but the reality is they were but then the owner died therefore who will pay the workmen? There is rubbish in the dumpsters that looks like its been there for years... I mean why would someone get work done when at the end of the video there is a door quite clearly broken, in 1 of the rooms the ceiling is falling apart, on the outside of the building the bricks are crumbling... Why would someone get work done inside before doing work outside? When I lived in France the house next door to me had a Ferrari in pristine condition parked in the garage, there was a grand piano in it and loads of art worth millions... It had scaffolding and tarps covering all the floors but the building itself was falling apart. It was beyond repair and was getting work done a decade prior... Long story short it didn't look abandoned look like someone was doing work on it but in reality was left to rot for over a decade.

Those mosaic floors in the toilet are similar to those i found on board the Venice-Simplon Orient Express!! Amazing floors! That scale steam locomotive is worth tens of thousands of dollars! The cart it sits on is used to move the locomotive to a vehicle of the same height as the cart which then transfers the locomotive from their home To a site where they can operate their steam locomotive on a layout with others who bring their scale engines/cars etc. most likely, there will be scale gondola, flat cars etc. with seats to take those visiting on rides! The downstairs train collection was amazing!! Manufacturers number plates, steam whistles, lanterns and so very much more!!! What a find! It appears no expense was spared when building their home either!! Best of woods, thick doors, marvelous hardware, wooden flooring, stained glass windows and on and on!! Great find guys!!!

Could you just imagine knowing the owner of the place and listening to the stories behind everything you found in the property. How wonderful with that be! I always loved sitting with elderly people even as a child and listening to the stories from when they were children and the adventures they had in their lives. No doubt this man had some truly amazing adventures in his life. So many ties the South African railways and it's very beginning. How awesome was that hidden basement with all the wonderful parts for old steam trains you could probably never find again. Not to mention the miniature set packed in there as well. That car was also amazing! It would be wonderful if the family would find somebody to take it and restore it. Something like that is made to be enjoyed not a museum piece. Do believe that was a Ford V6 engine in it. I don't think I could ever fit in it because I wouldn't be able to get out of it once I was in...LOL
That would be okay because I would never want to get out of!!
Thanks for showing us this beautiful place and being so respectful to the previous owner and the amazing contents that you know was cherished by the original owner of the property. I just discovered you & I have to say I’m blown away by what I just saw. I love trains. This house had them including the stain glass windows. I fell in love with them when I went to Church as a little boy. I love how the sun glistened off them during service. This home has beautiful mosaic tiling too. Finding the concept sports car was a surprise too. However, that threw me off. The Director had a date of 1902 but the car had a much later date. I noticed the house had several bedrooms. I don’t recall that he had any children nor married. I was surprised as to why you were whispering as you were touring the home. I’m following you from now on. Thank you for a wonderful tour.

That was F_____g crazy, totally mad . What with a train inside the house to crazy old stone work and professional movie cameras those people must have unthinkable money . The wine cellar with a safe and another one filled with antique train stuff it was a paradise for urbex explorers . Thank you guys for that video , I'll watch it over and over . Stuart in Canada ..

My golly what a find. As this is all South African Railways stuff I may well know the person who once lived there. I was a fireman on South African Railways until the very last in 1996. There were 3 of us who went to SA in the 70s just to drive steam and we became rather famous in the steam world. Would you perhaps know what the owners name was?? I bet he knew us from South African Railways. We perhaps knew him also. Great clip, thanks
