The Hydra-Drive was available prior to the XX release. We used them on the LRM transmissions (which the HD was designed for) of the ProSE and on the LXT. When the XX released, it had the HD in the box, with instructions for running with or without it. You can see evidence of this in RCCA mags of the time. Also, if you research the 1991 IFMAR World's.... watch Kyle Reed burn that track in Detroit (and get robbed of the win). Kyle was using the HD on a ProSE, with a XX-prototype front end.
Losi's are an addiction to collect mine started with an Xx-t and it snowballed from there, I have 2 Jrx2's 2 jrx-t's, 2 xx-t's, 1 xx, 2 xxx's , 2 xxx-t's, 2 xxx-4's, a mini JRX2 and one Baja Rey, for some reason I haven't been able to get my hands on an xx-4 though.
Time is the most valuable commodity. There is never enough. Most of the time, rather than focusing on the one restoration or build… I’m looking at 2-3 builds down the line and not enjoying the one I’m working on and trying to rush it so that Incan get to the next.
Nice collection of Losi racing machines! I was always racing AGAINST them with my RC10s. I never had that particular JR radio, but I had the earlier 2 channel version. Mine was the A.M. version, and it worked great! It had 2 model memory, and all the digital adjustments you needed. That one should be a decent radio for a crystal controlled type. The NIMHs were just coming out when I got out of RC racing, I was spending stupid amounts of money on NiCads!😂
Yes! Thanks for confirming that lol... the original owner said he upgraded the diff and then I found that backing card stock that said "Manta Ray" Diff. Perfect Thanks.
Cracking find and deal ! I’ve just bought another Losi and it was probably the same amount as your whole find, you gotta take what you can get I guess. M02 is cool but I always preferred the m01mini sane but shorter wheelbase basically. The sway bars fitted are hard to come across and the steering set. Ball diff from the manta ray was used in all sorts of Tamiya’s, df01, ta02, ta03, tl01 and chassis cars, early ones. Cool video:)
I have Tamiya M-02 Beetle kit new in the box. I just never got around to building it. I did build m-06 beetle kit. I painted this beetle to look like Herbie the love bug. Thoughts?
Hello! I’ve recently stumbled upon your channel and am really enjoying seeing all the cool cars from my childhood! Where do you find your parts at? Might not be vintage but I have a RC10b3 that is special to me and I can’t find a replacement rear shock tower
There are RC groups dedicated to different brands and even specific models within those brands on Facebook. Parts are advertised on the regular by members. Then there is eBay….
The XXX line is extremely fun and easy to work on. Also very stylish.
Excellent deal! Those don’t come around to often! Awesome!
The XXX buggy may be the best rear motor buggy ever created!

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I did not know that it was offered prior as an “upgrade”. I’ll like into the info you shared with me. Thanks.
Lovely RC Haul 😊
thanks... always looking for a good deal...

Lol I hear you… I’m already eyeballing another vintage losi at the moment.
@@RCRetro so what is the favorite car you've gotten so far with the Losi's?
Nice buy! Love the thrill of the hunt also!
Hey Roc, how you doing? The hunt might be my favorite part…
Dang. Nice deal. Love the losi collection!!!!
Great lot of losi! I know what it is like to have more projects then time.
Me too brother

hell ya brother, thats a great find ...damn!!!!
You scored big on these. Can’t wait to see what you do with them.
Wow what a great deal you got there well done 🤩👍🚴
BIG Score Mr. K
Nice score Ari.. I had no clue they made ronal teddy bear wheels for RC cars.
Ronal Teddy Bear alloys were available in the 90s in Europe. They were greeted with the contempt they deserved!😂
The JR XS3 Pro radio was the first really nice radio I ever bought.

Great deal man!! You scored some cool cars. I had an M01 waaay back when. I loved it!
I really think this M02 is growing on me. Think I’m going to have fun with that one.
The manta ray diff is indeed a hop up for the m02

I just picked up a losi lxt this past week. Nice haul👍
The dampers on the VW might be Tamiya Hop Up 53155. I have a set of those for my Honda S800.
My LXT was awesome when i was a kid
He who has the most toys when he dies wins!
The wheels are from a XXXT.
Have you seen the CEN RACING SP1 RWD STREET CAR??? I have one look it up
