I want to know how they will handle RMAs. Are they going to reject them for being reworked?

Great work on supplying the parts and knowledge, however….
These screens need to be so much cheaper. $255 for the screen, Apple charge $329 for the repair. Even if you match apples price with the work involved needing trained micro soldering staff, for $74 profit? and if you break the IC then you’re stuck. You are also fitting a lower quality part for the same price at best, while taking the risk for $75 profit. At what point is it not just worth going authorised or ordering parts via self service. If the screens are $100 then fine, but at $255 there’s no room to make any decent profit fitting them 🤷🏻‍♂️

Price will adjust when there's more supply, I believe.

Prices always change with time so it will be more and more profitable with time. The main thing is being able to do the repair with the IC and having half the work done for you it much easier. Adding 5 minutes to the repair, sure not the first few times, really just makes sense for the benefits.

@@MobileSentrix we still dont have soft oled for 13 pro max you talk about over time will drop. YES will drop who knows after iphone 18 come out or iphone discontinued after glasses will new future :D

correct, they need to be released faster and more price effective, because by the time the iphone 16 comes out, most with the 13 will "trade in" leaving us a repair shop in a difficult spot having to play catch up. @@mmfix3851

And the question is how much to charge for that is it worth or no ? I believe is not because if you have soldering skills why will spend time to fix LCD that is cost $250+. customer will not appreciate that. How much to charge for soldering ? 100? -200? customer will still need to pay $400 plus their is a risk for the new LCD that probably MS wont accept warranty after soldering. again question is it worth ? the screen is not $50-100 to play with it, and customer wont pay $400 for screen when apple charge same price $379! NoT WORTH ! good skills soldering job better data recovery not screen replacement !

I agree with the risk factor. It's hard to make it make sense if the warranty is voided once the IC work is done. What if the IC work is done right, but the screen is defective? Is the repair shop that takes the fall because we had to swap the IC before installation? It's a tricky situation.
