The song was solid. She had the voice. You could say her dress, the moon and the dolphin visuals enhanced her performance. But I can't believe she was only 18 when she stood on that huge stage and gave it her all. She looks so vulnerable and strong at the same time. One of Eurovision's greatest performances.

Whenever I'm feeling melancholic I come back to this song. 2009 was the greatest year for Eurovision ever. Rybak, Yohanna and Aysel & Arash all put up award winning performances, and all those ended up in the top 3. I can't remember a better Eurovision that also ended up honoring its best finalists. It really was the perfect storm in the positive sense. I think we could argue for ages who of those three deserved to win it more. Personally, I change that decision almost daily even 11 years after, cause each of those songs just strikes a different chord and they're all perfect in their sense. I can't thank either of the participants enough for what their work gave me

Пока просматривал 2009 год Евровидения - сошёл с ума от того НАСКОЛЬКО много тут действительно хороших песен, которые моментально запоминаются, но и техническая сторона конкурса - потрясающая, на высшем уровне, особенно звук, передача голоса, и голоса бэк вокалистов, правильное соотношение звука минусовки по отношению к голосу - всё отстроено БЕЗУПРЕЧНО. Почему я это заметил ? Последние лет 5 на Евровидении заметил что либо музыка тише чем должно быть, либо голос с микрофона плохо слышен, либо вообще выкладывает официальный канал номера как будто в качестве не 320кб а 160)) из-за чего слышны артефакты. В общем и целом последние Евровидения в плане качества Звука - отвратительны. И во мне не говорит какая то обида что Россия сейчас не участвует, сразу опережу вас) просто я люблю говорить по факту - Евровидение в России было самым дорогим в истории конкурса - и теперь спустя столько лет я понимаю и самое главное ВИЖУ и СЛЫШУ почему - разница огромная даже в сравнении с Евровидением 2023, где у половины песен - музыку и её глубокое качество - не слышно от слова ВООБЩЕ (Возьмите Serbia - Samo mi se spava - там музыка просто потрясающая в студийке, но то как это звучало на самом Евровидении - отвратительно)

Each and every year I come back to this song and I have never seen anything like it before or after. It always gets me chills. I feel like this song is what the Eurovison Song Contest is all about: calm music, strong vocals, common performance, worth listening with eyes closed.
One of my most listened to and viewed ESC songs of all time. Yohanna sang straight to the core of your soul and her singing took you to another dimension. Like a choir of angels straight from heaven. Add to that this breathtaking stage with the dolphins etc. People liked Alexander a bit better with his easy-going-cheerful manner and his song, but Yohanna and her whole team, including the fantastic background singers (here greetings to "Euroband" *haha*), are the ones for me "true" winner. Of course, the well-deserved 2nd place also paid tribute to this masterpiece. But I have to say that her performance in the semifinals touched me even more, because she was even more violent there, even more insistent.

Я из России (1-е место на этом евровидении), но я тоже считаю что это была лушая песня, для меня она до сих пор остается любимой песней среди всех евровидений.
На мой взгляд Исландию подвело ее географическое положение, а Россия заработала дополнительные баллы за счет Евгения Плющенко и Эдвина Мартона.
Исландия должна была быть первой!
I am from Russia(1-st place in 2009) but i think that Yohanna's song was the best, it's still the most loved song for me of all eurovisions.
In my opinion Iceland not win because bad geographical location, while Russia have additional points due to Eugeniy Plushenko and Edvin Marton.
Yohanna should have won at this event, best eurovision song ever!
