That ziplock plastic bag that the meal ingredients also comes in SUPER handy as a catch-all for tossing in all the trash you generate from the little ingredient packages, excess vegetable bits, etc so you can clean up after yourself as you go along too.
ohmygosh that's literally EXACTLY what I use it for as I'm cooking!! I throw every bit of trash or onion skins or whatever right in that same bag!! Great minds think alike🤗
Another option is to freeze leftover veggie bits to turn into broth.
As an international student in this US, this might be helpful. Tired of Uber Eats, and planning groceries and buying them is meh, aha. Might give this a try. Lovely and entertaining video.

We do hello fresh for 4 days and the home chef for 3... I love hello fresh bc it’s more familiar food mostly but I also love home chef bc it’s more adventurous I feel.... it makes us try more

I got tired of getting Uber Eats almost everyday and I missed cooking. Was looking into meal plan delivery and saw that Home Fresh was highly rated as an option. After seeing this video, I decided I am going to give it a try for at least a month.

they have adjusted the prep work SO MUCH! I have gotten so many meals lately in which everything is already chopped its such a time saver!
That was literally what I disliked the most-all the chopping! Like once I get home from a day at work I don’t want to have to prep and cook for 2 hours, I’m exhausted!
I do Hello Fresh which I like but now realize that maybe I need to be on more than one service so I can get different levels of preparation and more variety. I just need to be able to skip a week whenever I want. I have been very happy with Hello Fresh as though I am a scratch cook I am getting some great results with their simple ingredients so I'm learning.

Ah thank you!! Since they come in the bags, it’s super easy to stash them all in the fridge! It’s perfect if you’re only cooking for one! Then you’ll have one serving of leftovers to have for lunch the next day!

As a fedex package handler! I unload tons of homechef boxes in the southeast. I also be curious what in the boxes too. That was the first time I ever heard of homechef 😂😂 when I started unloading boxes. Is it like a healthy eating meal plan or something?
im sure you probably see lots of homechef haha its just the best!! but no its not specifically "healthy" although they do have healthy options! its just really yummy ingredients for meals delivered to your door!

Hi Shannon, I just ordered a minutes ago , no free shipping in fact it is very expensive the shipping more than the meal and the crazy thing normally the more you buy the less you pay in shipping but not here they charge more for more meals :(

I’m now several months into it and it’s been a game-changer! I now look forward to cooking, am learning new things and trying new things, eat more veggies now than I used to, and love virtually all the recipes. Our meal planning now feels so organized, no more last-minute “what are we gonna have for supper?” And I’m out of my rut of fixing the same things so often! I bet you will love it :) My neighbor got me started with Home Chef and she’s kinda my hero for doing so!

I am in a southern climate and there is a problem getting the meals to me in edible shape. The last box smelled so bad my cook tossed the box. The ice packs are melted, box wet, and meat spoiled. Hope for better.
oh no! I live in the south, too, but have never had that issue ever before! I wonder if perhaps the shipment got delayed along the way and maybe that led to the damage? I am so sorry to hear that! but their customer service is amazing so im sure they would make it right for you!
1st meal: I can't do corn :..( Are the seasonings listed in the pork and other items preseasoned?
not many things come preseasoned! but they have lots of info on allergens & ingredients listed on their website when you're choosing meals!
Get yourself a really nice Made in America cast iron pan. Your Steaks, scallops, shrimp will sear beautifully!!

Just signed up, unfortunately they did not give a vegetarian option during the initial process. Because of that they gave us all meat meals and the customize options did not have vegetarian 🌱 options. Under settings I was able to choose vegetarian but it did not change out our meals. Ended up having to skip every meal and emailed support to see if they can fix this.

Can someone tell me what bok Choi taste like? I love spinach and cabbage but not collard/turnip greens so im hoping it's not similar to the last two

we do 2 servings per meal!
But you can order the number of servings you want. Portion sizes are perfect for us - filling and no leftovers.

What I don’t care for with these services is that you have to remember to go on the site to skip that week if you don’t want/need meals that week.
yeah I agree that is kind of an inconvenient part - I just set a reminder on my phone for once a wee to check all the apps and skip!

Ok Home Chef is delicious we got that, but is it healthy? Level of sodium, preservatives and all that? The nutriments keep their properties after the meal was prepared, packaged and then sold?

you can definitely eliminate any of the salt the recipe recommends adding! I do that somtimes and I also typically dont add any oil either. you can customize the recipe however you need to!
