Minute 7 explained exactly what we came for. We want to host a gathering via zoom with background music while we have dinner and have the capability to talk with our friends over the music and control the volume of the audio background.. wohooooo!!!! Thank you!!!
Well done! Here's why. I am a professional educator who is too often frustrated by YT videos that do not honor the "Title" given them by the maker. For example, "How to stream audio through your Rodecaster pro into Zoom." Since I'm looking for this, I select and watch a 10-minute video with that title. At precisely 6:45 in the 10-minutes, a 32-second statement is made telling the Viewer, "...and you can listen to music by plugging your iOs device into this port..." End of instruction. Really? Well, what I'm saying here is "Dottotech" seems to have figured out all we want is to learn how to do exactly what he says he is going to do. THANK YOU! If there were more like you, I'd waste far less time slogging through needless and often pointless banter while trying to get to the point. Again, THANK YOU! Thank you for mastering the art and science of presentation.
Thank you so much. I spent a whole week asking different people (including professionals) how to set up ZOOM Live Fitness Classes including music with quite a good audio quality and nobody could help. And you just gave me the solution in 8 minutes. Fabulous, thank you so much. Your explanation is great, sharing all the important details, so I could successfully do it myself.
I have been looking everywhere (people and online) to figure out how to solve this issue. THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH! You made my summer school English students and me so happy. :)
I'm a language professor, I was looking for info about how to include dialogues in my zoom classes without having to go through the computer speakers and then back to the mic ( = bad). You saved my life! :D
My daughter's competitive volleyball team has continued to have conditioning / strengthening workouts as well as practices via Zoom once daily since this Covid-19 situation came into being and it's been working nicely in keeping the girls active/motivated and accountable for when the remainder of their season *hopefully* is able to finish-out in a few months.
OMG ! are you the Steve Dotto who used to teach computer tips on TV long time ago when I used to have a 486 machine? Wow if you are , so great to see you again....i am one of your fan since then .Cheers Steve
I found a couple more things to do with the original sound. I changed the setting, but it was still a little choppy. When I went into the meeting, I clicked on more and then had to click enable original sound in the meeting and then had to mute all participants. It was perfect!!! Thank you so much!! We did not even need a mic or anything. The samsung tablet picked up the stereo sound and the instructor voice clearly. Hallelujah!!!
Thanks Steve. I have been trying to figure out how to make this work for months without having to buy any fancy or complicated equipment. This was perfect. Much Appreciated!
Thank you for the info! Was asked to assist my classmates because meetings can get complicated and out of hand when several senior high students go live haha! Very useful. Wherever you are I hope you're having a lovely day.
Very very helpful - thank you. I have been delivering fitness classes for 100 days now in my home studio. This is the best Zoom audio I have seen. I am still keen to improve my setup so will go through your videos.
Marvellous! I am part of a singer songwriters’ club and we were all on Zoom last night trying to figure out how to get the best sound quality. I shall share this link with them right away. Thanks Steve!
This is, by far, the best instruction I've seen on using Zoom in this way. I teach guitar via Zoom and have been struggling to get consistently good audio. I've watched every video and read every article I could find and none of them touched on some the subjects you mentioned. I'm going to give this a try and see if it helps. In case you're interested, my audio chain is: Guitar > Fractal Audio Axe-FX > Mac Mini via USB Mic>audient iD14 interface > Mac Mini via USB Both of these signals go to my DAW (Logic Pro X) and are routed from Logic to Zoom via "Loopback". I prefer to use my studio monitors instead of headphones to monitor my student's Zoom as well as my audio. I use a dual-camera setup: Logitech Webcam > Mac Mini via USB Panasonic Lumix G85 > Cam Link 4k > Mac Mini I route and control these via Ecamm Live. I would prefer to use something else to avoid the subscription fee but I'm not aware of anything that allows me tp select "Virtual Camera" with the Lumix.
Thanks Steve, loving this series pal. I have a Blue Yeti that I put through Audio Hijack and Loopback. Both are fantastic programs and very affordable. My old Sony A5100 mirrorless and a CamLink gives me a great video output. I had forgotten that audio is just as important as video. This video just reminded me how important audio is, even with broad Scottish accent, lol. Thanks again for this great series. Stay safe pal...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you so much!! Your original sound instruction for the piano teachers works for our fitness room when we play music on our stereo. You saved our virtual lives!!!!! I cannot thank you enough!!!!
@@dottotech 😌😁 But...I am just having one issue that only host can do screen share and thus they can only do this sharing music but, those are participants they can't do soo, so I am also unable to do it I have my online yoga competition on 27th I am confused 😕 what to do now if u have some solution or information will u please 🙏 help me out....
Your Yeti issue can be easily resolved by changing settings for audio input and output within Zoom (assuming your Yeti works fine otherwise. If not, check your settings under DEVICE MANAGER in Windows.
I'd like to see you do a series on different microphones you can use for Zoom and different circumstances. Sitting at a desk is easy - moving around and you start to need different types of microphones.
One option I've used is a smartphone + earbuds for better audio when 3+ feet away from the camera. You join the meeting twice: once by computer and once by phone. You need to *leave* audio on the computer to prevent echo, Or bluetooth earbuds connected to the computer that will stay connected at whatever distance the yoga, dance, pilates class is.
Thank you Steve for another information packed Tutorial! I can't wait to implement this. I am not a music teacher, but all of a sudden when I am on Zoom meetings I can hear everybody else, but they cannot hear me! I have adjusted all my audio settings to no avail. Very frustrating.
