Totally obsessed with your videos!! Something I’ve always wanted to try...not sure why I haven’t? I’m in search of a class I can take (waiting for more places to open up). Thanks for sharing. Watching from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
So in a previous video you used what I guess was a slurry of clay to attach the handles. Just curious as I’m new to pottery and want to make sure the handle connections don’t break or crack
Stumbled upon your channel when showing my sister the crushed glass method with pottery last weekend during snowpocalypse in Seattle. Countless hours of your videos later, her, her BF, and I are all addicted. You have great energy and content. You've provided a wealth of knowledge to my sister (the potter) and now her BF thinks he should also be able to just throw some pots (not a potter). 😂
Love your vids. Everything but the music. Its hard to believe that someone as creative ( and connected ) as you doesnt know a musician or two who would love the opportunity to provide music dor your vids.
You can buy ready made glazes (wet), dry mix glazes, which you can the mix with water to the required gravity, or the various ingredients and mix them yourself. If you are starting, and you have a kiln (and you know at which temperature you can fire it) you can buy glazes and clay from Turkey - it’s the closes and cheapest place for the Middle East
Hey Ali, I'm also from Saudi and got interested in ceramics and pottery. Could you give me your username in instagram so I can add you and we could share our knowledge?
what if I want to make a rotating tool at home, because during the pandemic ,I had to study online and got an assignment to make rotary engineering ceramics I'm from Indonesia
These look amazing my favourite is the carved one 😊 I'm having a hard time selling pottery on Instagram and can't afford websites like Etsy, any advice?
I'm not selling yet but I would suggest going the clay buddies on facebook and posting pictures of your work there. There's also the option of sending some of your pieces to other channels you watch to get it aired. Most channels, especially homesteaders, will show what they get in the mail.
What kind of bats are those and what material are they made out of??

Hey Jon,
Could you explain how you made the spiral? I’ve tried to do it, but it doesn’t turn out. I just don’t get a 3D effect…just a line.
What kind of bat are you using?
What is the trimming tool you're using for the base?
John, where did you get the large rib you use to smooth the outside of your mugs? Thank you
You make it look so easy. I still can't make a mug or cup yet.
I think you do good john empire or how you think you need is a haircut

How much clay you use for mugs of this size.
