Unbelievable.. How can he play at this level without playing even one forehand topspin in the whole match??? And beat a top Chinese player with this style .. No words
My thoughts exactly!!
This is called world class blocking sence with placement..
He have a good strategy and have many tactics for this kind of play.
It’s bizarre. You’d think he has a handicap but no!
If I don't wrong, he beat Wang Liqin/ world champion 2001;2005 and 2007/ as well. Alamiyan is a good player. I haven't seen him for a long time.
Alamiyan used to play forehead topspin normaly, a very good one in fact. But he had to change his way of playing because of a neurological problem. That's why he doesn't play forehand topspin now.
The amazing thing here is that, with that handicap, he is able to beat a world top player. That shows how talented he is.
His serve is always been one of the best in the world. No surprise here
Fascinating. What’s the neuro prob?
I remember his forehand topspin. If I don't wrong he beat Wang Liqin /world champion- 2001;2005;2007/once. He's a very good player. I'm sorry about his neurological problems.
@@Al-ImprovEd2022 i think it's neurological overtraining.
I've found this in Google:
We don't often think about overtraining the nervous system. However, a phenomenon known as the golfer yips provides some evidence that overtraining the nervous system is possible. In golf, the yips refers to a catastrophic breakdown in highly trained motor skills. Yips was once attributed to anxiety. However, a 1992 research study challenged this notion. A relationship between golfer's yips and anxiety was not found. However, the yips appears due to repeating the same movement over and over until the athlete injures the peripheral or the central nervous system. The condition is known as focal dystonia. Now, focal dystonia refers to an involuntary muscular contractions of the muscle or groups of muscles. Focal dystonia can strike at any time. The phenomenon occurs in sports that require very precise fine motor control. Besides golf, examples include cricket bowling, includes tennis, table tennis, snooker, and darts. Now Eric Bristow, who is a well known darts player, is a classic example of how dystonia can affect careers. At the height of his career, Bristow was unable to release the dart from his fingers. It took him ten years to overcome this problem. In the meantime, his career was severely affected. Focal dystonia has also recently been described in runners, and it's hard to describe running as a precise movement. So this suggests that dystonia may be due more to countless hours of the same repetitive movement, to the point where the nervous system runs out of its ability to adapt and make the necessary repairs before the next practice session. An athlete, in essence, the athlete is likely to be training in the non-functional overreaching mode for a long time. And ultimately, the nervous system becomes chronically over-trained. It is characterized by an inability to perform a well-learned and well-practiced motor skill. And the condition was first described back in 1713, and it was a common condition among occupations where writing was the prime skill. Scribes and notaries are examples of these types of writing occupations. In 1911, the condition was called dystonia and describes an abnormal increase in muscle tone and muscle contractions. In many cases, dystonia interferes with the individual's ability to ever perform the affected motor skill efficiently. In musician's dystonia, the hands or the fingers may curl, there's an involuntary shaking, and they miss the intended key. Fingers may also freeze or shoot out from side to side. And the cause of dystonia is still, however, open to debate. However, it appears related to a misfiring of neurons in the primary sensory and motor areas of the brain. Now recall that the motor cortex is involved in planning, control, and the execution of voluntary movements. And when the motor cortex signals a muscle to contract, the muscles that oppose the movement, normally relax. For example, when the biceps contract, the triceps relax. So the hand is lifted up towards the shoulder. And the reverse occurs when the triceps recontract, the biceps must relax to permit the arm to straighten. Now when an athlete is afflicted with dystonia, it appears that the brain does not inhibit these surrounding muscles effectively. And this leads to a loss of muscle selectivity, and the movement can freeze. Repetition of the same movement causing damage to nerves is the likely culprit. Over a career, an athlete will perform similar repetitive movements hundreds of thousands of times, and this repetition potentially requires substantial repair to the nerve structure. An inability to perform these repairs potentially leads to long-term neuromuscular overtraining injury, similar in the way that other structural injuries occur. Now dystonia is not painful. It is, however, very frustrating.
wow thats completely insane.
@@sobhanshane7010 a friend of mine knows him
Lin Gaoyuan, the most consistent player. One week he beats world #1 Fan Zhendong in a thrilling MT finals match, next he loses to world #84 in R16.
What does the MT stand for?
@@mortuc1 Men Team
Give some credits to the opponent, Lin just simply didn’t lose, the opponent played spectacular. His serves were very difficult to read, just because he is word 84 doesn’t mean you underestimate him. It’s the underdog’s time. (Not a single forehand topspin and yet he won against the best in the world, now that’s something)
Noshads real quality is easy top 50 ..This is one of the most talented player in the world and with his BH and service he can beat any lefthander in the world.Lin is known to have a "soft" (not so agressive or lets say dangerous) FH recive and Noshad played right into it.Just look how many time did Noshad attack strong and directly after his service when Lin recived the service with FH
@@shouryateja Don't get me wrong, Alamiyan pulled a fantastic performance and simply outplayed Lin this match and he absolutely deserves all the praise. It's just that at this point I cannot do anything but laugh at Lin Gaoyuan, seems he cannot catch a break against foreigners. As much as I respect Alamiyan after seeing him play this tournament, player with Lin's skill and experience shouldn't get outplayed by a player like him, even if the player is having the game of their life.
I found out last week that Noshad is from the small town in Iran where I grew up as a child. Amazing win against LG! 💪 🏓
So clever playing from Alamiyan, well deserved victory.
I barely comment on UA-cam vids but wow that lefty backhand is a thing of beauty. Guy steps around just to use it instead of doing forehand, and with that consistency and power and precision.... Amazing.
Yes Lin, let's keep on playing to that backhand, great idea.
What an wonderful match. Amazing player Alamiyan, great tactic. Hope to see him more.
clicked on the video with no special expectations but wow! what a game! interesting game by alamiyan. and great backhand
Congrats to Alamiyan - lefty backhand on another level
Honestly, this performance from Noshad left me both speechless and in awe. He used the FH very sparingly, only for blocks that would've been impossible for him to move/pivot his body to do a BH block. And that BH.. OMG that BH!! So good!
Good job noshad. What unique play style
Noshad has a very Pleasant style to Watch! Awesome match
Haha wow. Stepping around for the backhand... Usually it's the other way around! What a performance.
Wow…
Those Serves were incredible.
I would never have expected this, what is going on with Lin Gaoyan? He lost to Timo, now this? Hopefully he gets out of his rut soon
He beat fan Zhendong after losing to timo
Noshad .. "Prince of Persia"..
One of the sweetest lefty bh in any era. He's such a thrill to watch, right from his tricky services, masterful hand switches to his lethal bh finishes. A joy. 😊
Honestly, he wants me to play table tennis though I'm sick rn...
He inspires me and tells the world that China isn't unbeatable
Wow
I really enjoyed this match
It was really interesting
Bro hardly played 5 forehands but still beat a top Chinese player, that's really impressive.....
very gud, amaizig noshad
Alamiyan reminds me a bit of Karakasevic, but sped up. Especially since both are left-handed. Both players' styles are very fun to watch. Great match for Alamiyan!
amazing lh backhand, covering alomost whole table:)
Not even one forehand topspin in the whole match.. This is unbelievable
Thank you 👍👍👍
Excellent win!
Mans played like 5 forehands all match and Lin just kept feeding to his backhand lol
what a serve, what a backhand!
Looks like Lin had trouble dealing with Alamiyan's serve. Great play from Alamiyan!
Alamiyan's serve is well known for being among the best in the world
@@regomellorExactly.
Yeah, also noticed that
What a match!
Noshad Alamiyan the has the best serves in the world
Great match.
He deserves the name Mama mia, Lin will remember that forever...
Alamiyan style is amazing.
By far one of the most intense table tennis match ever
Master of Serve
Well played Noshad. :)
How can someone beat top Chinese player without a single forehand topspin in the whole game
Where are the forehands? :D
Alamiyan backhand and Aruna forehand. A dream 🙂
The power of service!
This is the craziest result ever!!! This is from an alternate universe.
No i mamy nie lada sensację😮👍🏓
this guy here is incredible...ah yes I m talking about Lin here. choking is a small word for him.He seems to beat his own records in terms of losing. Its actually creative how he loses in different circumstances.
Good game noshad u r the best
Little suprised 😮 where did the speed gone of Lin ??
Congrats to Alamiyan, very well played. Is it my idea or LGY was playing with some sort of injury or back pain? Noticed some weird movements during the first two games.
👍👍👍👍👍
I did not know that Tibor Klampar had decided to come back from his retirement!
Chyba Klampar trochę inaczej grał.
Wow nice game
what a surprise
***** can someone tell me what the commentator means by “LOOK AT THE BACK OF NOSHAD’s SHIRT”? (1:55 to 2:05)
heh this was fun to watch
Serves are 😮😮
How is it even possible to win LGY without a single FH topspin??
wow
Lights out for the Dark Night! 😂
Anybody's siri got activated at timestamp 10:28 on a macbook?
Noshad Alamiyan.👍👍👍
Lin did not know how to play at the end!
Noshad🔥🔥🔥
Holy Shit!!!!
Primorac without any forehand. Noshad even looks like him!
Noshad Appelgren :)
Fantastik match. Terrible angle. As always.
Noshad on top
Lin Gaoyuan only is willing to beat his team mates.
I genuinely have no idea how lin gaoyuan is still in the a team
Not for too long if this keeps happening.
He wins their internal competitions in China, and beats even his better teammates just as much as they beat him. He just seems to have a problem with foreigners appareantly.
Here we go again with one dimensional , side of the table, Table Tennis. @WTT has lost their minds.
Inconsistent from Lin… very good from Alamiyan
The real question is how Noshad Alamiyan survived as a pro with such a forehand.
I thought he explained it perfectly..
@@matthewcoca4008 You are absolutely right. I just wish I watched the game between Chuang Chih-Yuan and him before leaving this comment.
This will not be good for LG' s career, The chinese coach will not be happy with this loss.
Well done Alamiyan!
Once again, like against Japan, we'll done Alamiyan.
What the hell is going on with Lin G.? There goes any chance of Paris 2024 for him
Not even as a 4th player
Ma Long, FZD and Wang Chuqin are the best China has to offer right now
No doubts about that
@@backspacer92 Luck is no excuse for chinese players 😥
So this is the chinese Table Tennis level
LGY's had too many comp's lately. Guess he's grossly tired and out of shape. He went thru WTT in Oct 19 - 23 in Macao, CNC in November 3 - 12 in Huangshi City (China) and now Asian cup 17 - 19 in Bangkok. Lost focus here, may be? The Chinese viewers say LGY is more capable playing inside China (styles known among themselves) but I think adaptability is more the answer. Ma Long is the best in this area (plus undisputed consistency). That's why he's been G.O.A.T for such a long time.
Dark Ages for the "Dark Knight". Sadly, but he has buried international career by himself.
LG could not handle NA service!
only backhand.. not a single forhand..wow
LG showed the lowest play level, what I can remember. Аmateur mistakes
