Harimoto slaughtered Felix only about 4 or 5 months ago...
A complete turnaround.
Felix is improving really fast 🎉
@@elementalmassacre5309 he was about top 5 even then I think... But played terribly. They swapped roles today. This time Harimoto played very badly.
@@shanelawson5072 No he was around rank 20 and it was a "small" tournament. He's much stronger now.
@@whiskhot Nonsense...❗He was ranked higher than Harimoto at that time. It was the World Team Mixed Cup or something.
On that date Felix was ranked #8 & Harimoto was #11.
Considering that Felix beat Lin Yun-Ju 3-0 in their first encounter, why should we be surprised at all when Felix beat Harimoto 3-0?
As a penholder, it's truly encouraging to see Felix beat Harimoto with his BH. No more need or excuse for penholders to lament on their BH.
It's because of his grip. Felix uses a curl grip, which allows much more flexibility on his backhand side, while someone with a straight grip like XX has much more flexibility on the forehand side. It's a trade-off because you can't say Felix has a great forehand either.
@@huynguyentien1504 FH isn't his main strength, and the French commentator also said his strong suit is his BH shots.
And its kinda sad, that he is that backhand oriented, that the Chinese Team even said when a leftie plays against him, that they should always play in his forehand. And As former penhold, I have to say, that's Hard to have a bad forehand with penhold like him. Of course its still better than ours, but having a that weak forehand as penhold is sad
Long pips will destroy these guys
@@thewinner8564 weak forehand, are we watching the same player? sure it may not be the best in the world but still very good and consistent even for pro standards
The dreams comes true! 50 fps!! Let's go wtt!!
Full matches are always 50 fps.
PLEASE put back the older POV cameras😢🙏
Lebrun's backhand dominated Harimoto's, which is quite an achievement as Harimoto is normally very solid there.
As a Penholder, I totally slept on Felix. What an inspiration!
Felix and Yunju are on another level from others in my opinion.
Outstanding performance! Felix has figured out Harimoto after their last encounter...Nice match 3-0!!🎉💪👏
Considering that Felix beat Lin Yun-Ju 3-0 in their first encounter, why should we be surprised at all when Felix beat Harimoto 3-0?
Yes, outstanding performance
FL has nearly perfected how to beat shake handers with RPB. We've been admiring XuXin (aka Xuperman) for a long time, but Xu had to really really work hard to win. However, FL perfected lightning fast/repetitious/accurate RPB. With Penhold devastating serves to setup to kill, he is able to mathematically win a game/match with an edge or big margin. What/how FL advanced/improved over the last few months is absolutely incredible. All he needs now is to stay cool/focus/stable. Chinese coaches/players study opponents in depth for game plans. However, this might now work against FL. Think they should start exploring new Penhold RPB techniques with their young players now. Conventionally, Chinese rely on spin variations and placements on top of basic skill. However, more speed and accuracy will take it up to another level.
weakness lies where the strength is, relying on speed has inherent tendency that it will fade with age., you can not keep lightening speed for too long.
Whats RPB?
@@noib1102 reverse penhold bachand
He reminds me so much of wang chuchin. He’ll be great as long as he’s in his physical prime. people rarely stay amazing past 28 in table tennis anyway.
Amazing 👍👍👍
Felix's backhand is more flat (and very fast) than most other players, and Harimoto's return to Felix's BH often goes into the net. I think that's the difference in this match.
Il n'a pas vu le jour le japonais. Incroyable comment Félix l'a surpassé.
I've been very fascinated by how well FL plays. I just have one question about his serves. He seems to toss the ball from his fingers, not his palm. His motions are so quick so I can't tell definitively but if so, is that legal?
It seems that Harimoto's technique is becoming weak, doing poorly, compensating for it by putting more force into the blow, that when he has the opportunity to counterspin or attack, the poor control in his block has earned Lebrun almost half of his points.
Tomokazu didn't has any plan. Felix was too quick and powerful.
Did not really expect that. but we were spared TH's constant screaming. I wonder how old he has to get till he stops that or at least turn it down a notch.
I don't understand why harimoto wanted to insist on playing most of the balls to Lebrun's backhand... He ended up paying the price
Well, Harimoto knows Lebrun’s forehand is as good or even better than his backhand. He was dominated either way.
@@urutoraseven Nah, look at the match between Felix Vs Jang Woojin, Jang insisted on serving and attacking most of the balls on Felix's forehand dominating the match, clearly Felix's strongest side is his backhand.
I think Harimoto could not adapt his strategy, weird...
Lets go Félix 🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵
Harimoto beaten in straight sets? Now its only top chinese like wang chuqin and ma can stop felix
And some Koreans 😀
The male sharapova is very silent today.
🤣🤣
Harimoto didn’t have the necessary energy. And Felix Lebruns backhand was so superior this time. The spin from his RPB makes tha ball go flatter after the bounce, that is why Harimoto has no good effect in his shots and often shoots them into the net. It is therefor also a question of different techniques where Harimoto has to be able to adjust to Felix Lebruns shots.
This day it didn’t work.
Harimoto is so boring to watch now. I liked him more when he was younger. He plays so slow compared to before. After changing his style, he doesn't have any outstanding techniques or anything remarkable to watch.
Yes, he plays more blocking game than offensive. What happend to him?
🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵
Le brun kardeşler başa bela olacak demiştim
Felix not his brother weaker mentally
Wang chuqin is laughing
1 e 2 é o ponto frágil, Brazil!
Chinese have to be on a very high alert as Felix can break great wall of China with his ping pong ball.
Wow what a destruction. I can't remember the last time Harimoto got his a$$ kicked so bad. What's astonishing is Felix's RPB is better than any Chinese player by a long shot.
Watch the World Cup semi final. 2-3 weeks ago. Just as bad as this.
@@robertrowles5450 0-4 vs Lin Gaoyuan, who himself got outplayed by Groth in this Smash sadly lol
Harimoto struggled with his serves
and Felix's backhands.
harimoto played without any think and wise
Can we stop the spoilers on first comment every video. In other sport videos, first comment is always like "spoiler shield" that people upvote
I remember when the first comment was always visible on youtube.
Normal tax of harder unforgiving equipment
Felix 💪👊👍🏓
Harimoto was lost completely.
Nice angle again 😂😢😅
Because we want to see the ball, thanks
5/6/4 😂 😂 😂
Why side view? Don’t make any sense
Felix looks scary to play against, complete obliteration.
Nah Harimoto played like ass wtf
Because he had no answer to what Lebrun was doing.Lebrun made him play bad.
As Lim Jonghoon had no answer to Harimoto the round before...Harimoto didn't "turn" bad in one day... It is an opponent that makes you play bad.
as already said by the other comment, it's generally a very common wrong idea that people seem to 'play bad' when it's much more accurate to say they've been put into a dificult situation by their opponent. Either when you're playing or watching, it's easier to think that. Not always 100% the case of course but it's important to consider, especially when the opponent is playing extremely well, his counters put him real bad.
Considering that Felix beat Lin Yun-Ju 3-0 in their first encounter, why should we be surprised at all when Felix beat Harimoto 3-0?
Too easy for Felix. He will be a big problem for chinese.
We don't even know if Wang will enter the final
Big problem? It is not even a problem.
The Chinese was only unstoppable because of Liu Guoliang as a coach, now he's retired I think so no more coach as good as he was
Well, shut my mouth.
