I have made quilt as you go pot holders with this pattern for years. I did not know it had a name . Thank you so very much for this video. Would have liked to have had audio with it, but was great !
I'm looking at the designs and thinking I would rather make squares and strips, sort of log cabin method, rather than deal with triangles with bias edges, especially the one on the right. The one on the left has 2 simple blocks that are easily done with strips as well. I think that this method would be simpler and also more accurate to piece together since you wouldn't be dealing with stretchy edges. I do like the look of the one on the left.
Yes, there are several places where my voice gets a little softer. I’m sorry for that. I’m recording on my phone and doing the best I can. Thank you for watching, subscribing and commenting. I hope you enjoy the rest of our videos.
Yes, that is correct. Unfortunately, my voice was starting to go when I recorded this. I was trying to save my voice to get through the whole video when I probably should have postponed recording.
@@tracyfinnell9552 there are microphones you can purchase to attach to your clothing. Don’t know how much they are but it would help you. Lovely squares.
@@bkdill51 if you see previous comments, I state that I was losing my voice in this particular video. However, as of January 2021, we have brand new video AND audio equipment in use! I’m very excited. Please head over to the current video and give it a listen. Thank you.
I love the idea, so decided to try. My blocks are not lining up (seams are off). What am I doing wrong. I’m sewing 1/4” seam. I have taken apart so many times. I’m a little more advance than beginner.
I would love to assist you with this. Please feel free to contact me through email tracy@pinehollowquilts.com. I can even set up video messaging to help you.
@@pinehollowquiltsllc6414 well I sent it to be quilted not realising I had not put the wide border on first , c is there a way to do this..?? As it will not be quilted like he rest of it,, also if I cannot do this the quilt is going to be smaller than I wanted it to be
@@doreengray8353 you can add to the top and use the Quilt As You Go method to enlarge your quilt. True the border will be quilted differently but many times borders are quilted differently than the center of the quilt.
Really like the calm manner she uses to explain things! Very helpful. (not in a hurry like most everyone else you see these days!). Sound was a little low, but manageable.
Thank you for watching. I try to keep it slow with easy step by step instructions. It is more important to get the instructions and techniques across than staying within a time limit.
Thank you for showing this. I am in the process of making a quilt using this procedure. I would love to see if you made a quilt out of this or one like it. I am not on Facebook however. Do you have a web site?
Ann, yes I have a website. Pinehollowquilts.com. However, this quilt is not on there. Please email me through the link on my website and I can send you a photo of the completed top.
Kudos. Thanks for sharing. Have wtched it twice and have concluded that you do it all. You are the camera person, cutter, stitcher and designer, but not editor. Still, good work.
You are indeed correct. I am a one man band. My husband does minimal editing as he is able. Just purchased a new camera to hopefully help me. Look for new videos coming soon.
Yes, the closed captioning works well. The sound is a little low due to the fact that I was losing my voice when this was recorded. Hope you can still enjoy it.
If you decide to try this, turn on the closed captioning. It helps when my technology skills and voice are not up to par. Feel free to email me, if you need help. tracy@pinehollowquilts.com
I disagree on the sound. The volume is not good. It fades in and out. Perhaps if you used a Mic it would be more consistent for your followers. If you already do use one maybe it needs adjustment or replacement. Love your fabrics...they will make a beautiful quilt.
Thank you for your comments. I have addressed this in several other comments. Please consider viewing January 2021 as I now have new video and audio equipment.
Cannot hear you! Too annoying for me...darn it I wanted to watch! People that record these need to pay attention because I cannot watch when I cannot hear! bye
I'm sorry that the volume level was too low. Unfortunately, I am the only person making these videos. I have no high tech equipment or staff to assist me. You could try the closed captions options.
These are beautiful!! Thanks for the ideas.
This is terrific. Helps me sew up my stash. Thank You!

Just be careful to not stretch the bias edges. You’ll do great.
Very cool! Thanks for the tutorial, I've been dying to make a red and yellow quilt maybe I'll keep it for myself, most are given away. ❤️💛❤️💛❤️
You deserve one for yourself! Check out my other videos in case you see another pattern to do. Our new Sampler Sew-Along started this month.

The sound is very low, can barely hear. I love the colour combination.
Fantastic video I’m new at quilting Great instructions. I used the CC and just read along

Thank you for the kind words. It is definitely a stash buster. I try to design all of my videos so that you can use fabric on hand.

How wide were your five strips?
The strips are 2.5 inches each. You can use precuts, if you want.
Would love to see this again with sound.up. Its very frustrating
