Okay having watched this video, I'll put into my own input:
- Personally, Vein Seeker works great for me. That's because I tend to spawn like 5+ chests within under 10 seconds. By the time I usually finished opening all those chests, my Vein Seeker is replenished and the cycle repeats. No guarantee this always happens everytime, but when it does, it's insanely useful.
- As someone who switched from Precursor to Jungle so I can use the sludge to make mixtures, I have noticed I received less powder in the Jungle compared to the Remnants. If you care more about money, then Jungle if you want to be consistent. Precursor if you care more about powder.
Overall great video for someone who is halfway done with her powder mining and extremely burnt out with it. I'll be heading back to the Precursors then once I'm done getting the remaining sludge for my Gemstone Chambers. :)

Also like to note that precursor good if you want to level up your compact on your gauntlet/drill cause you’re not stuck to the jungle pickaxe.

Just wanted to say, on ironman u should 100% mine in jungle till u have everything u need sludge for(arti of power, 100k tank etc.) its just way more worth it than mining in prec and getting few parts

Also for ironman, as soon as you have the powder / heated reforge / possibly gauntlet to instabreak hardstone without mining armor, switch to young dragon + rancher's boots (or maxor), speed tuning, and snail pet. +300% the hardstone makes silex actually achievable
@@jennywang1242 silexes r achievable without that too, i'd recommend still using a mix of mineral and divan cuz ur gonna need many many millions of coal and shit later on
i myself mined in Precursor remnants til 2/3.5m and got my hands on parts for 90 nucleus runs and got full divan. then i mined the rest of sludge for the actual armor after that umtil 5/6.5m

For 2x powder:
when I started mining powder I already looked for a lobby that is the furthest in the cycle so I get 2x powder first and then when I swaped I find lobbys with 10m+ 2x powder. After the 2nd lobbys buff is gone I swaped again to find an other lobby again that is furthest. (you can also use alt to stay in lobbys and then warp)

While powder mining I also learned that mole perk doesn’t work when inside jungle temple (I don’t Know about other structures tho)
its not supposed to work near impt structures... thats why u mine high up in jungle
yeah... the jungle temple will still reach you at the top of the jungle (at least the biome does) so just avoid it
When mining in precursor remnants u dont have to use jungle pick meaning u can level up compact on ur main mining tool!

8:48 btw if you can’t afford a leg Scatha you can get an epic mithril golem since at lvl 100 it gives you 20% more mithril powder (it works from chests)

@@Implodent really? When I used it, in the hotm menu it showed you will receive 45% more mithril powder and 25% more gemstone powder. (Because I have powder buff lvl 25). I assumed it worked since I thought they fixed powder buff, and the stats shown applied to chests as well, but ig not. Thanks for the clarification though.
Hey, the armdrillo pet exists, did not see you mention in pet section (I'm talking about the Moblie Tank ablitty) Using the legendary perk, that converts all your defense from the glacite armour into mining speed and normal speed, it helps... to some degree.
by the way if you forge flip you might need 5mil mithril powder as quick forge costs around 900k-1mil to max, ontop of already maxing fortunate, mining fortune and mining speed.
though if you're lazy, just don't get it as the difference is actually fucking useless if you don't forge flip (which you really should)
from my testing, scatha wormhole no longer appears to override mole. however, i only tested with like mole 113, so it might override mole more at higher levels
correction/edit:
mole doesn't seem to proc off wormhole, so when mining on a wall with 2 adjacent stone sides, scatha will proc first and override mole. however, when mining a wall with 3+ sides, mole will function normally. i did my testing on the floor 💀so i got normal results.
additionally, scatha seems to prioritize blocks horizontal with the mined block, as does mole. both avoid the floor block (mole can proc the ceiling after scatha but it seems to proc less than without scatha)
scatha also doesn't seem to spawn chests (unsure about this one)
the extra chest chance from scatha (even with wormhole) seems to be better than without a scatha (or i could have just gotten really unlucky), but rare scatha is just objectively better
yeah it works fine vertically. directionally challenged multi-block breaking mining systems are just hypixel's thing

Hi Implodent! With the release of the 0.18.3 patch, automaton parts are now on the bazaar and are sold for much less than they used to be. Does this mean that powder grinding in the jungle is far better for money now?
I think it is better since you don't have to sell it to the ah, idk
@@Champ5472_ that might make sense, but now parts are much cheaper. For example, control switches which you used to be able to sell for 1m per 5, now you sell them for 30k each.
@@PhosphorQa bit late but sludge is better because it's less RNG reliant, 3% per hard stone mined is way more common than it sounds
For those who powder mine right now Powder buff from hotm work just fine and scatha up to epic rarity work without a bug, so i recomend using it if you can afford it (i don't know about legendary scatha, i'm too poor XD)
leggy scatha's powder buff applies, but the wormhole perk overrides mole like 80% of the time. so, i would recommend autopetting to a scatha when you're opening the treasure chest, but when you're actually mining, do NOT use a scatha because wormhole will just destroy your rates

12:37 it is worth it to do Goblin Eggs lol. 0 Effort and 80m per 1m powder doesn't sound that bad assuming you already gemstone mine at decent rates(take me as an example, i make 16m/hr mining Jade and have 1.7m mithril powder and over 4m gemstone. I could easily afford Goblin Eggs after a few days of mining at most.

with peak of the mountain 6 being added, would dillo mining be competitive or better than traditional powder mining for gemstone powder only? There are a lot of people who have reached 4m mithril powder but are still far away from 11m gemstone powder and I was wondering if dillo mining with peak of the mountain is viable.

dillo is already about the same, that's why i said when you get the excess gem powder from gem mining you should totally get peak 6 and 7 because arma mining is insane for powder

Only if you have spare powder. If you have more than 4m/4m then sure it can help in the long run

mithril golem doesn't work on powder chests, only when actually mining mithril

mineral armor pieces ! ! ! for clearing ores and increase profit/hr pretty easily without needing to put any powder into efficient miner
I use that strat, very underrated
you make less because divan's gives more fortune which = more money
@@toxkic When u use mineral armor u can mine those ores faster so u get more powder and maybe even more money. When i used to powder grind i wear 3 mineral and 1 divan's (like the gold strat)

4m powder of both types, and yeah total. and for the second one, what? not entirely sure what you mean. the leveling order works for all powder types, you just upgrade the perks in that order

How many hours does it take on average to get 3.5m/3.5m? (I grinded from hotm5 to hotm7 in 3 days and still have some time to burn mining)

I have maxed Great Explorer to 96%, but i'm not getting chests often at all. It usually takes me like a minute to find a single chest. This is well over what the calculations should be. It is marked as "ENABLED." i have mole 78 and powder buff 22. Do you know what could be causing the problem?

I usually go into precursor and use 655 with amber polished and perfect cut and blue cheese as I said earlier I have 7.7m powder in each I am going for 11m each rn but I didnt know leg scatha was bugged and well I havent been getting shit for powder so just wanted some input on this because I have no fucking clue if blue cheese works for powder buff and great explorer

no, it only works if you manually mine the mithril (so doesn't work on golden goblins either)

no, only snail fortune does

i think you can do the boosted but only the first few five more gp so after this you can do the chest grinding.
If you don't have much time i would day get the daily powder perk that gives you much powder for the first broken block. and then the commissions.
But if you have more time and want to be done faster do the chests afterwards
I have school but really wanna start ruby mining. I have around 1.8m mithril and 2m gemstone which isnt enough for ruby mining. I tried to armadillo mine (didnt make much as finding a lobby takes so long and throne only makes about 13m/hr and spiral makes around 18m/hr) but found that grinding for more powder would be better. Should I get 3.5m of each powder? I have school assignments and can only play on the weekends so I want to know whats best for my mining future.
3.5m of each sounds fine. I would recommend getting to 4m/4m but low playtime hits hard :(

@@onelowpineapple6738 took me about like 8-10 days but i stoppped after the holidays ended. I jusd mined until i could buy hype. Im at like 2.2m mithril and 3.2 gemstone from gemstone mining.

ive got a level 100 leg scatha, and im wondering if the gemstone powder buff actually works or not
it does, but the wormhole perk (as stated in the video) overrides mole, so it's not good to use while mining for chests. you can use an autopet rule to summon it for specifically opening chests, but don't use it for mining for them.
@@Implodent it doesnt feel like it always overides mole tho, i can still fully proc mole with a scatcha equiped
So why wait for hotm 7 if powder buff is still broken?
just simplifies things. i'd rather not say at ALL that you can do it under hotm7 because then people somehow get the idea that they can do anything at hotm6.
also you miss out on pickobulus because you don't have as many tokens

if you have a list on order of upgrades for powder mining why dont you have a list for order of upgrades for gemstone mining?
tick speeds make it ridiculously complicated, and there are more factors to account for in general.
it also depends on the method you're doing
@@Implodent is there atleast a list that on average will be good to use? or after how many fortune upgrades should i think about upgrading speed for the next tick speed? also what is the ratio between upgrading mining speed 2 and mining speed(the one for gemstones)? because for now i kinda upgrade all of those randomly and have no idea if its good.

@@matveytsarichansky8953in general, i multiply the cost of the current professional upgrade by 8, and determine whether it’s easier to just get mining speed 2 instead of prof, and i just add an arbitrary amount to account for the exponential increase of professional.
in other words, i just do basic math and determine if my prof is high enough level to upgrade ms2.
since you do ruby (probably not since this is a year late), professional does not get boosted by bal, so account for that too
