Very solid video overall. Here are some things i'd like to add as a player who spent over 2k hours on mining islands : There is a perk in gold essence shop that gives bonus mining xp. Magma fields now start at y64 or lower instead of y63 or lower. You can powder grind in jungle with a jungle pickaxe to get sludge juice and make consistent money. I'd recommend using snail pet for powder grinding since its cheap and the bonus hardstone it gives makes a lot of money, while scatha is very expensive and mithril golem only gives mithril powder which you need less of than gemstone powder. Once the mayor update is out, the upgraded mineral armor should be meta for powder grinding since it gives non-ore fortune = more hardstone. Vanilla ores (coal, emeralds...) and hardstone do not respawn. Custom ores (gems, mithril) aswell as ores in mines of divan do respawn. I'm fairly certain that since recent updates, you can no longer chain crystal comms and now have to kill corleone sometimes to keep getting crystal comms for nucleus runs grinding (Note that corleone is way easier to find with waypoints shared from Soopy mod). There is a way to cheese jungle temple, which can be found in several videos on yt (like the one Implodent made on nucleus runs). Venoms touch bow can be used in tandem with souls rebound for bal : its cheap and shoots 5 arrows at once. Use mole pet when doing nucleus runs. Having 4m/4m powder is CRINGE and you should get peak of the moutain 6 and 11m gemstone powder from powder grinding before moving on. You'll also make a lot of money in the process so it's fine. Gold mining makes ~25m/h selling to npc with max or close to max setup. For scatha mining, you can get bonus scatha chance from eman slayer LVL 9 and a gold essence shop perk. Paleontologist enchant is obtained from excavator, not corpses. Instead, corpses can drop the Ice cold enchant that gives bonus cold resistance. Finally, i recommend watching more detailed guides for specific aspects of mining (especially more recent ones for glacite tunnels) and watching AlexxOffi's SDQ series where he is currently going through all the mining progression as efficiently as possible. I'm sure i forgot some stuff but I hope that was useful. gl on the skyblock xp grind !
Something else to note is that the jungle temple cheese is very finnicky. Even if you know how to do it, if you aren't getting the crystal quickly, it's probably better to just run the temple, it only takes a couple minutes tops.
There's a couple things to note about the amethyst and topaz crystals. The chests beside the amethyst aren't seeded, and can be opened every time you clear the temple. You need to open them before collecting the crystal, because when you take the crystal, the temple key expires and you aren't eligible to loot them anymore. When Bal is spawning, the place where the topaz lies may look empty, but clicking it WILL give you the topaz. It's only if Bal is fully spawned and moving that he blocks you from taking the crystal. This also means you can grab it as soon as he starts shrinking.

As an ironman I don't recommend farming powder in the precursor remnants. You need the blue eggs. These are way more important. It's better to get parts by killing robots, because you still need to max out your bestiary anyways. Love your vids!
As a lvl 340 ironman, first powder grind in the jungle until u get enough sludge for all the mixtures needed in the game and then just 100% switch to remnants, if u want yeggs or bleggs just use ironman sweats lfp channels

like 2 months ago I got pretty lucky powder mining and made about 15-20m/h from blue goblin eggs then went 4 hours straight without dropping a single one
28:54 Lads, just buy an aurora staff lol. Its 1.5 mil which you can get *Very* easily and it one shots basically everything in ANY armor set. Its also pretty good for early catacombs as a mage. The flexibility the item has is pretty nice; and its also good for your museum.
pet luck affects scathas just as much as magic find therefore black cat is equal to 1b gold collection gdrag (100m gdrag being worse than black cat) also just use bal as a budget, its better than golem by a long shot looting most likely does not work on scatha pet drops so no need for l5 (it will drop u more gemstones tho) edit: mole does affect spawns by a lot, but ur right about the direction, west being the only one u should mine since it has the best mole pattern basically digging a 2nd tunnel for u
I haven't watched the whole thing yet but as far as scatha mining goes another good budget option is the legendary bal pet with the lucky clover because that can give the magma fields bonus. Also it applies the lucky clover magic find to your Daedalus axe while it doesn't apply the bonus from the mythic mithril golem
Since you were talking about Scatha mining, mining anywhere but west doesn’t decrease scatha spawns. Instead, when you mine west you increase your spawns because the mole perk mines a second tunnel I should also mention that gdrag is ONLY better than a black cat pet when you have 1b gold + clover helmet, 1b gold gdrag w/o clover helmet is equal to black cat. Another point is that looting very likely doesn’t affect scatha pet drops, it rather affects the gemstone drops And on another side note: do NOT use mithril golem, it only increases your mf by 10% whereas a bal pet increases your magic find AND pet luck by 15%
@@YadiOG The admins are thinking of other ways to chance bal so it will prob be a while until anything happens (they mentioned it in the April 19 alpha thread). Also i am pretty sure that vein seeker is better for powder grinding than Pickobulus, bc it gives +3 mining spread for 14s and recharges every 60s (including the time it is active), whereas Pickobulus doesn't always break the max amount of blocks and it takes 110s to recharge. Also Goblin is good if you want to get Blue eggs while powder mining, though with a bit lower rates. One last thing should i be using scatha to do coms in the glacite mines and then switch to greg bc i don't think it is worth using glacite golem as it replaces that 100 mining speed from the scatha with 10 cold recistance. But good video will def be looking back at it in the future.
I wouldn’t powder grind in the precursor remnants as an Ironman. You need a little under 14 double chests of sludge for things like: divans armor, chambers, artifact of power and 655. I would only do this if you have enough sludge for all of that.

I'll say use yog armour instead of sorrow as its way cheaper cause it has universal slot unlicked. If you buy sorrow you have to unlock it which costs gems. And pristine is more important than fortune in minin.
Bazaar dependent method that needs a 655, a blue cheese swap, and a gdrag or scatha. High reqs and not insane for money or progression but it is a bit less sweaty than gems

44:43, how to petswap for powder grinding. Rather than using a rod swap rule you can use collection rules where whenever hard stone collection increases it swaps to something like a snail, and whenever gemstone collection increases you swap to scathing (since all chests contain gemstones).
@YadiOG I haven't tested whether it works for the initial chest, but I generally mine out a lot of chests and then collect them all at once (this works well if you are mining in the jungle since you are already incentivized to do that).
@@YadiOG 1b gold collection is maximum, so 10b wouldnt do anything - however with the use of clover helmet greg at 1b gold is a little better than cat (greg with 100m gold and clover helmet is still worse than cat with clover helmet tho)
I think the precursor ruins is better than goblin hideout for money whilst powder mining, I haven't gotten a single blue goblin egg and I have been powder mining for hours
I believe they recently changed crystal hollows comms so obtain a crystal commision won't always appear meaning that nucleus runs aren't very good for hotm xp anymore

Yadi in one of your videos you said that glacite commissions were the best way to level up a golden dragon. What kind of mining xp per hour / exp were you getting and could you in general elaborate on that? Since personally I get around 6-7m mining xp from comms an hour and flares make around 3m combat xp. Greg is a combat pet so 3m combat xp is the same as 9m mining xp. Either I am skill issued or I am missing something thx
Flares are the best, glacite coms are the 2nd best, I was incorrect when I said the best. I meant to say one of the best, or the best method outside of flares
45:16 I don't think Jasper Drill X 20% gemstone powder perk work "unless they did a bug fix a couple of months ago", been powder grinding using it since 5m/5m powder and till now 25m/25m, both my powder are almost the same (did not have a scatha) Also, only hand in fossils (1 time per fossil only) during 2x powder event, you will get a lot more powder/ resources
u didn't watch the video if u think that. Only thing added w/ better mayors is new equipment which is included. as well as the new mineral armor but that doesn't really change when u should be using mineral armor (powder grinding and gold)
Going past 4m powder is not a marginal bonus if you are going to be manually mining gems with a bal pet. 8m lets you mine two ticks faster which is a 17% increase in efficiency for bp7 and even more for ruby. Thats a bigger increase in rates than you get from upgrading to a divans drill.
doesn't change the fact that marginal literally means you are getting less and less for more and more work. It is marginal, and it is worth it if you are going to do a lot of mining, but most people simply aren't going to do that.

you can use it, its just a very miniscule difference in powder, and I feel its better to level your mining skill first before transitioning to a powder pet

when I use the wishing compass, skytils decides to make an extra waypoint when I actually go to the location. Is there a way to disable that or would I have to delete the wishing compass waypoint afterwards.
Only thing I have to say to a jade mining is good as long as u have a good route I have a pretty good route one of the best and pretty mid stats or 2167mf in mf and can make 34m a hour
Great vid, but I have a small question. How does grinding treasure hoarders for the starfall make 14mil an hour, when to even make 1 power crystal u need to wait 2 hours. A hotm 3 player only has 3 forge slots which eaqual to only 1,956mil per 2 hours, and thats if u alr have 12 stacks of starfall in ur inv.
@@YadiOG Yadi, I love u man but wth is that logic. How can a hotm 3 player with only 3 forge slots make 16 crystals an hour (excluding forge time) in an hour. To fill all slots u would need 768 starfall and when they are done after the 2 hours u only get 2m. The 12-14mil an hour thing is a nothing burger when u need to wait 2 hours to only get 2mil.

Only do blegg grinding after finishing all sludge juice, cuz that's gonna be used in like everything for mining recipes.

tip you don't have to mine with the jaspers drill, just open chests with it. also for money I found the jungle plus jungle pickaxe worked the best.

44:43, how to petswap for powder grinding. Rather than using a rod swap rule you can use collection rules where whenever hard stone collection increases it swaps to something like a snail, and whenever gemstone collection increases you swap to scathing (since all chests contain gemstones).
but does the powder get added before gemstone collection gets added? If it does then this wouldn't work
@YadiOG I haven't tested whether it works for the initial chest, but I generally mine out a lot of chests and then collect them all at once (this works well if you are mining in the jungle since you are already incentivized to do that).

I believe they recently changed crystal hollows comms so obtain a crystal commision won't always appear meaning that nucleus runs aren't very good for hotm xp anymore
I have not heard this, if they did that is a terrible change, However u can still setup coms routes until you get another crystal commission if you really wanted to.

Yadi in one of your videos you said that glacite commissions were the best way to level up a golden dragon. What kind of mining xp per hour / exp were you getting and could you in general elaborate on that?
Since personally I get around 6-7m mining xp from comms an hour and flares make around 3m combat xp. Greg is a combat pet so 3m combat xp is the same as 9m mining xp. Either I am skill issued or I am missing something thx
Flares are the best, glacite coms are the 2nd best, I was incorrect when I said the best. I meant to say one of the best, or the best method outside of flares

45:16 I don't think Jasper Drill X 20% gemstone powder perk work "unless they did a bug fix a couple of months ago", been powder grinding using it since 5m/5m powder and till now 25m/25m, both my powder are almost the same (did not have a scatha)
Also, only hand in fossils (1 time per fossil only) during 2x powder event, you will get a lot more powder/ resources

u didn't watch the video if u think that. Only thing added w/ better mayors is new equipment which is included. as well as the new mineral armor but that doesn't really change when u should be using mineral armor (powder grinding and gold)
Going past 4m powder is not a marginal bonus if you are going to be manually mining gems with a bal pet. 8m lets you mine two ticks faster which is a 17% increase in efficiency for bp7 and even more for ruby. Thats a bigger increase in rates than you get from upgrading to a divans drill.
doesn't change the fact that marginal literally means you are getting less and less for more and more work. It is marginal, and it is worth it if you are going to do a lot of mining, but most people simply aren't going to do that.

you can use it, its just a very miniscule difference in powder, and I feel its better to level your mining skill first before transitioning to a powder pet

I just found out that ping affects money (Was already close to hotm 7 so skipped to that part in guide) now I'm a decent way through powder grinding. I get like 220 PING so...
you can still mine, you just have to realize you won't make as much as others with low ping

Only thing I have to say to a jade mining is good as long as u have a good route I have a pretty good route one of the best and pretty mid stats or 2167mf in mf and can make 34m a hour
still worse than ruby, and if u have to setup a route wouldn't u wanna do the one that you can npc sell and make more money?

Great vid, but I have a small question. How does grinding treasure hoarders for the starfall make 14mil an hour, when to even make 1 power crystal u need to wait 2 hours. A hotm 3 player only has 3 forge slots which eaqual to only 1,956mil per 2 hours, and thats if u alr have 12 stacks of starfall in ur inv.
U can make enough starfall to make 16 power crystals an hour. Excluding forge time, hoarders make 12-14m an hour
@@YadiOG Yadi, I love u man but wth is that logic. How can a hotm 3 player with only 3 forge slots make 16 crystals an hour (excluding forge time) in an hour. To fill all slots u would need 768 starfall and when they are done after the 2 hours u only get 2m. The 12-14mil an hour thing is a nothing burger when u need to wait 2 hours to only get 2mil.
