You’ve gotta here the clicker that’s half of the fun.!!! I also want to thank you for the stickers, great video that looks like a blast. Nice rig Mike that Suzuki was chewing that right up, I’d really like to try that sometime.!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I appreciate that brother!!! 👍👍👍😁😁😁
Like the clicker when drag runs but hate it when they reel.
👍👍
Hey Mike, thanks for the video. I have just started live lining bunker here in NJ and this is excellent for giving me some direction on how it’s done. I also enjoy fishing that same area, or atleast I think I know where your at! Hope to see y’all on the water!
Thanks brother!! I will be posting a few more very soon with more details and tricks. 👍👍
Leave the it on , the sound gives it a better affect. Where are you guys is that salt water or fresh?
This was the Raritan Bay. It’s salt, but near the river mouth.
Tommy is going to get that beard wrapped up bad one day in one those accurate reals and give himself a Brazilian 😂😂What up MAX!!!!!!!!
Definitely!! He don’t care!!
I don't have electronics or a boat so for me to find fish, I go by temperatures covor an structure. Temperature plays a factor because some fish will be in areas where there's shade an structure to keep cool. Also I'm instilling in myself to do no more than 3 casts max in an area one cast left right then straight into the body of water I fish. Also I vary my retrieve an pause. Varying retrieve speeds 1 second fast then one second slow pause. Or 2 seconds fast 1 second slow then pause. I keep my retrieves short so I stay in possible strike zones longer. These are a few examples I use. The format sometimes is in the 3 second zone. Also I'll do is 1 second really fast retrieve 1 second pause then repeat 2 more times. When it's warm I'll pause anywhere from 3 seconds sometimes all the way up to 30 seconds if it's really hot. If I do pauses that long I gently pop rod to get fishes attention. During a 3 second pause I'll pop rod tip once or twice at most. Fishing this way an using 3 casts max my catches have gone way up. Also before I cast I'll examine the areas for activity in the water covor an shade an structure. Finally another thing to consider if there's been a drough because it's hot or if it's generally low tide Also if there's current. Dead calm water usually means fish will move to areas where there's current in the water. If there's a drought then fish move to where waters deeper
Good info 👍
Thanks Mike for another great helpful video & thanks for the Old School Decals 👍
Thanks brother!! Glad you like the decals!!
Mike great video once again. Your videos have helped me a ton along the way. I am even making some fishing videos myself now. I fish primarily Fresh water Stripers but would like to try the salty ones soon. I've been using the TOS floats from day one. I'd love to show a couple TOS sitckers on the rig. Keep up the great videos.
Appreciate that brother!!! Email me your address mikesmedley9@gmail.com 👍👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Are you using the striper stealth med/heavy or heavy power? I've got a medium/ light and a med/heavy. But I fish a lot of creeks , so was thinking I might need heavy for more beef. Or world you use the extra heavy? Leave the clicker on. It gives you the ability being behind the camera to get a sense of the power of a striped bass.
Just got the TOS stickers in the mail yesterday. Thanks again
You’re welcome brother!! 😁😁
Hey Mike, what size and type hooks do you use when using live bait? I am Fishing in shallow waters, 10 to 25' . Thanks for to information and for your videos.
Dan
Thanks brother for the videos! Clicker on baby....music to my ears!
Thanks brother!! I agree!!

Amen brother!!
yea leave clicker on, makes me want to call in sick and go fishing. great video keep them coming.

Great Video, where you fishing? I fish in Jersey Raritan bay. Just started fishing this year
This was in the Raritan Bay.
@@MikeSmedleyOLDSCHOOLSTRIPERS awesome. I can't wait to learn the bay and try to get on some big stripers. Love your videos.
Love your videos! Get em Max!!!!
Thanks brother!!! 😁😁
Awesome video Mike glad to see Tommy on the boat. When is Tommy going to let you catch a fish?? Lol
GREAT QUESTION!!! 😛😛😛
Hey got my stickers yesterday. Thanks!!! Leave clicker on!!! Love to hear that noise.
man that sea pro with that 350 is amazing but i dont expect anything average with you
Thanks brother!!
Leave clicker on. Nice video don't you just love good fishing. Nice spot
Thanks brother!! 😁😁👍👍
What rod and reel shot I get for live lining, looking for middle class setup that’s not too expensive?
Will McCormick I’m actually posting a video on that in a few days. This is the best reel you will find in this price range, in fact it’s better than most $400 reels. amzn.to/2XTvZZK. Pair with MH Striper Stealth rod. 👍👍
Good job guys
Thanks brother!
Got my stickers yesterday too, Thanks
You’re very welcome!!
What action are those striper stealth you are using in this video? They finally have the medium heavy in stock, but I'm on the fence between medium and medium heavy.
Get MH!! That’s all I use !! They are my favorite
Got my stickers thanks guys🙏 let it click
👍👍👍😁😁😁
The only time i ever turn the clicker off is when there are other boat within hearing distance and i dont want them to know we are hooked up...
👍👍
which action striper stealth rods are you using in the video, MH?
Always the MH 😉😉😉. Love em!
Just a guess but are you in Florida? That was fun, I learned a couple of things that will help me land a few more fish. If I can still learn something new every day I'm doing well. It took me a few fish to learn not to set a circle hook when I get hit. Thanks for the lesson!
This is up in the NY-NJ area, but same method can be used everywhere. 👍👍
Hey Brother...I'm about to get my Adda T Top next week. I see you have a vinyl wind/weather protector on yours. Where did you get it from? I'd love to have that too. I have a 2019 Sea Fox 186 Commander center console. Fish stripers in NorCal Delta. Thanks Tomi
Mike, do you have any recommendations (make, model) on a portable line counter that can be fastened to the pole and removed when not needed?
Sure brother. These are pretty good. amzn.to/2XRr9Mm
I'm going to be trying to fish for stripers at Leesville lake in va, I've caught one at lake anna, I want to use artificial, not sure best way to accomplish this, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
What size circle hooks do you use for live lining?
8/0-10/0. amzn.to/325i8xC
Or Mustad Demon Circle.
Mike Smedley - these particular hooks in the link (a) are offset (I thought you didn’t typically use offset for live lining or drift chunking?); and (b) this link doesn’t seem to have an 8/0 or 9/0 size that you recommend for these full size bunker. Is there another to recommend? Thx - great tips!
Have you ever fished Alabama ?
I have caught Stripers in 11 states, but Alabama isn’t one of them. 😁
you are going to be blown away when you see me and my boat and all my beautiful stripers on the wall. i am team old school of west coast i am the striper king of norcal and my name is also mike and yes were brothers from another....
Hell yeah brother!!! Go catch em all!!! 😁😁👍👍
Keep the clicker, it definitely adds to the excitement
Thanks Tim!! I agree brother! 😁😁👍🙏🙏

Leaving the Clicker is very annoying in my opinion.
👍
You guys that fight fish with the clicker engaged must not realize that you are simply wearing your clicker out. In time you are gonna find yourself replacing the clicker...sooner than later.
For some reason some people are terrified of wearing out a clicker. We don’t leave the clicker engaged all day long, only when fighting a fish. These clickers are made for this, in fact I have NEVER replaced an Accurate clicker once and I’m on the water 300 days a year. A clicker is NOT just a bite alarm, you can use it.
Clicker on baby
👍👍
Clickers off!
👍
