Your framed pieces turned out spectacular! You have a great eye for matching your stitching with the perfect frame. You have made so much progress with Louisa! I may stitch the strawberry bird; I did pick up the pattern and threads from Carla after seeing Helen’s videos. Not sure when I would start because I started stitching a different bird this week-the cardinal in Tis the Season by Blackbird. I have had special threads for it that I bought years ago from Victorian Motto. I noticed I had a very greenish piece of Antique Lace by Seraphim that I thought would still allow the snowflakes to show up. It’s really not that large of a piece so we’ll see how long it takes me. I have so many things in my stash that I never seem to get to and I’ve made an effort to stitch several of them the past two months. 🧵🪡✂️ Your Valentines display is so pretty! 💖

Your Valentine's display is lovely! The birds from that series by Cottage Garden Samplings are so beautiful. I love how you are just pulling out the bird and a flower or two to stitch. Are you stitching all 12? That would make a beautiful grouping on a wall! The Louisa Barney sampler is gorgeous! It almost reminds me of a paint-by-number piece with how the different colored flosses look next to each other. It's always a treat to see the beautiful pieces you are bringing to life through your stitching😊. Have a great week!

So I just watched all the videos you linked. I have no words to describe how amazed I am. Just to hear a different spin on what I have been taught really woke me up. I have studied apologetics before but this is the first time it all made complete sense. Thank you. I also love you stitching.

I also knit and hook rugs, so I knew I had to stitch Maryanne when I saw the woman and child with the sheep. I think I also have to put Mary Carr on my “to do” list. Hi Kim, your stitching is so beautiful. If your looking for a round frame a good alternative is a round clock. I purchased one at Walmart and it worked perfectly. It’s not wood, it’s plastic, but it looks like wood. Worth a look and not very expensive. Happy stitching.

I am hoping you will do a video of your frame making process and paints and wax you use. Just a suggestion, you could have a circle mat cut for your new SAL and make a square frame. I think that would be lovely. As always, your projects and finishes are beautiful. I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing ❣️
Thank you for this suggestion, Donna! It’s a great idea! It seems a bit overwhelming to video the process of making a frame. I’m afraid the camera would be very wobbly or it will be loud, etc. I think my hubby will help me, and we will try to give it a go. Just takes a lot of prep and planning!

Kim another inspiring share thank you. Might I ask or make a suggestion? You are an amazing stitcher and girl that room are goals. However …. To browse hashtags so many different ones I’m sure I’ll never be able to recall to see all the beautiful works when selecting a new stitch. Soooo maybe suggest your new nest Sal to also add the hashtag the original bird fridays ? So May pretties I just love looking at everyone’s works ❤

It’s a tricky one! Mary Catherine Harris (she spelled it Cathne on the sampler) by Erna Hiscock Antiques. You have to email her. Sometimes it can take a bit of trying, like if you don’t hear back. I obviously made changes with the scripture addition, and a few other things. Try googling it now, and let me know how it goes!

That large project on Cedar Plank by Lakeside. Is that fabric grey or brown? On camera it looks more grey.
Louisa Barny, yes, I tried to match the cover fabric. It is more gray,but warm rather than cool 🤗
I Kim , do you put anything between your fabric and the frame to protect from the paint, thank you love your stitching.
Hi Lina! I have done several different things from time to time. I have sprayed a frame with shellac or you can use polycrylic. I always sand the inside rabbet area to make sure it’s smooth and won’t snag my linen, so there isn’t any paint there. If it’s a very special piece, I will take the time to use the acid free tape to keep the acid from the wood affecting my linen. Sometimes I don’t use anything. I hope this is what you are wondering about. 🤗
