So glad you had a wonderful time at The Attic😊. The motifs and border that you've got started on the Eliza Hill sampler are beautiful! I love the colors! I'd never given much thought about birds in these reproduction samplers, (I tend to favor houses), but after looking at all of the exquisite birds you stitch over all of these months of your flosstube, I've come to have a greater appreciation for them. That pink parrot you're stitching is really something! Thanks again, Kim, for a lovely hour with you😊

Hi Kim! Beautiful finishes! You amaze me! I saw one of your wips and I had to get on the kitten stitchers website and I ordered in memory of Louise 1874. It will go in my basket of future projects!😊 you will love Yellowstone! My husband and I went to Yellowstone many years ago- maybe 2004 or 2005. It was so amazing! We loved it! That pink pillow will have great texture and look fabulous in a pink chair! Yellowstone is FANTASTIC! We love going to National Parks too. Bring warm clothes the weather will be cold. One morning in August it was 32 degrees and then 86 in the afternoon. Fall and winter come early there from what I understand. Be sure to check out the Yellowstone Grand Canyon waterfall (I think that's what it is called). It is beautiful. If you make it to Jackson Hole, be sure to have dinner at the Bar J ranch. Great dinner/comedy show. Good food, and biscuits cooked over an open campfire as you enter. :) Summer school is a future goal of mine. Sounds like fun.

The sampler from The Proper Stitcher is beautiful! You did an amazing job stitching and framing! Love it! I haven't started that one yet, but really appreciated your input about the Conch and Beige WDW flosses not showing up. I will be doing a floss toss for that one. I will be stitching "My Heart is Full" on the perforated paper with you as I got about that much stitching on it also. Thank you so much for cheering a very sick stitcher up today. Please say a prayer that I do not have Covid as I was exposed to it yesterday during piano lessons. It meant a lot to see a friend's smiling face talk about all the beautiful pieces we are going to be stitching. I am also stitching the large sampler by Tanya and got a fair amount done on that one also. So pretty! So glad you made it home safe and sound and looking forward to our next meet up!! Dottie

Loved your recap of our Summer School! Gave me a chance to feel all the happy stitching feels all over again! I agree with you on the Mary Hills chart - very hard to read! I’ve had her kitted for 2 years and took it out when i got home (after watching Jessica stitch it all weekend I was motivated to start) and winced at the chart - eek! will be a tough one. I have already ordered Macey’s new bird (and 2 others of hers) and the MoJo stitches bird too. Will look forward to seeing your progress on everything! xx

Hi Kim! I have enjoyed many of your videos with all your FFOs and WIPs. Especially that you share scripture at the end. I enjoyed one of your latest videos that you mentioned you live in southern California and had a group stitching get together with local stitcher's at your home. so cool! I live in San Marcos, CA. My sister and I are avid cross stitchers for over 40 years. We get try to get together every week to stitch. So rare to see any cross stitchers in So. Calif. In fact, I visited the The Country Quilt store in San Marcos, per your suggestion. Not a lot of cross stitch patterns and floss yet. I understand from an employee at the store that the owner plans to buy more for a bigger supply! Happy stitching and God Bless you! Maybe we will meet some day 🙂
Hi Teresa! There will be a monthly stitching group meeting at the Country Quilt store. It’s the fourth Saturday of the month, I believe. I would love to meet you and your sister there at some point! Yes, I’m hoping she will continue to expand the cross stitch!

Its a Bird sampler and it has a lot of pink in it. Thought of you and your birds. The name of it is Peaceful Dove by Rosewood Manor. Copy year 2012. Maybe this is one you might to get.

No idea why I haven’t followed your FT till date. Looks like we share the love of birds and between birds and vases, it’s about 90% of my stitching 😊 love your work and ideas like attaching fabric on linen to reduce the wastage of linen…

@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim a toss between fragile 40 or 46ct. I like my satin stitches and like them to sit plump.. not sure if I can pull off 2 strands on 46ct. Will be using Vikki Clayton’s silk. 😊
I did consider ballet slippers and I only have 36ct and it’s not my fav count.

Loved your updates about summer school. Your wips are great as always. So impressed by the pink birthday bag your friend made for you! I have made one of these exact bags for a granddaughter. It was very detailed and expensive to make. It was truly a gift of love from your friend and I know you will treasure it!

It was fun getting to stitch with you and everyone else for World Cross Stitch Day on Laura's zoom! Summer School has been on my stitcher's bucket list for a while, seeing your joy in remembering it just confirms that I really need to find a way to make it happen. As always, I find so much inspiration in your stitching, most especially the blessing of knowing that it's perfectly fine to stitch the pieces that call to me without having to complete the whole huge piece.
