not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical with the layout, but seeing the walls up and painted, and the floor put in, I think everything works out really well. you guys did an amazing job, not just the utility area, but the whole house, and you should be really proud with the work you did!
I would be very, very interested in a video on your heating system - comfort, cost to run, cost to install, there is a lot of talk about the IR heaters and very little seems to come from people with experience living with them. Maybe you’d consider putting something together? Not your usual style, but I think others would also be interested in your take on it.
Absolutely gorgeous. I had a feeling that your house was going to turn out, again, gorgeous. You've done an awesome job on everything. From vision to fruition. Way to go. Cheers 👌🍾🥂.
I liked the music - can you share your spotify playlist. Btw. Good job. All looks high ends. You have a tone of knowledge. Why not do detailed tutorials - might get you more viewers.
Is this electric element thin enough, on purpose, so that you can apply the tile adhesive directly? Because other applications I have seen pour self levelling concrete first and use tile adhesive on that.
Excellent job excellent, you both are geniuses. But I still want more videos smile more. God bless peace, ba with you much love and respect.🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fair play, really impressive to do the floor yourself! Great job looks awesome,, We are still building our house but I can't wait until we are ready to do the interior work! If you don't mind me asking what camera do you use? The shots of your home looks amazing, we are just starting out on UA-cam and using our iPhones to film but looking to upgrade to maybe a camera in the following months.
That’s awesome, we’d like to build a house next time as we think it would be far quicker than having to renovate around an old wonky house!!! As for camera and gear we have most of it listed in the description of the video, hope that helps? Good luck on the house build and creating videos 👌🏻
Hi, I like your work I will copy you exactly But did you put sell leveling compound first on top of wooden floor and then backer board ?pls let me know
@@shuhenarabegum7019 we didn’t as there was too many gaps on the floorboards where the self leveling would have dripped through. So I just used the tile adhesive to level the tiles afterwards

Teamwork makes the dream work :) - well done both. I'm looking to retrofit UFH in our bungalow. I'm keen to get your feedback on the price to run electric as i've heard quite a lot of consistent feedback on how expensive it is to run? Or do you have solar/battery storage to help? Regards
Unfortunately no we don’t have either battery/solar to run it so as the price of electric increases so does the price to run the electric UFH! But that’s the same with all gas/oil prices too. And we don’t have oil/gas going into our property so electric was our only option and thought UF gives a nice cosy feel!
yeah that matt is designed to be tiled straight over using flexible tile adhesive (the adhesive also has to state that it can be used with under floor heating too). Or you could use a flexible floor leveller (again one that also says for under floor heating) over the matt to give you a flat surface and then tile on top of that.
@@BARBSTER360I’m not sure if he is talking about using tile adhesive and screws and washers to install the tile backer boards into the floor boards as well as I have been told the same by Pro warm recently.
Personally I would of stuck the backer boards down and screeded over the under floor mat. You missed one big thing when laying the tiles, you never back buttered the tiles! Not doing this on large tiles causes trapped air pockets and they don’t stick properly
I’ve watched from the start & it’s crazy to see how much the house has changed. Not too far off now guys!
We still can’t get our heads around the fact we’ve been doing this for almost 4 and a half years!

When you’ve done everything you should release a mega cut of all the bits you have done in 1 video
Yeah for sure!! We’ve already been chatting about how to condense 4 and a half years into 1 video… how long do you think the video should be!?

45 minutes!
@@BARBSTER360 I’d happily watch an hour long video. Just showing the best bits might make that easier to edit?

Hi where are the tiles from? They’re great
These tiles were just from B&Q! Not sure if they still do them as we ordered them quite a while ago and kept them in storage until we needed them!
Epic!
🙌🏻
Are you sure you don't want to wallpaper the wall behind the loo too?
Yup we’re sure!!
Hello was it ok to put tile direct on the UFH matt

Levelling clips?!
I heard electric underfloor heating is slow in heating up a room and expensive to run because of high electricity costs. Are these true?
WOW Guys its Looking Great. Hope Your Going To Throw A Party When Its Finished , And We Are All Invited.?
Haha if we did a party it would have to stop about 8pm as we’re so knackered from doing all this work 😂
Hey guys, Is this also suitable for a flat not in the ground floor?
I’d say so, just make sure you use the insulating backer boards. We used it upstairs and downstairs in our house
NEVER PUT DOWN INSOLATION WITH OUT STICKING THEM, THEY WILL FLOAT ON SELF LEVELLING.
@@cbebbington2 this mat is self adhesive and is super sticky, but we did also use extra tape if needed to keep it stuck down
@@BARBSTER360 the tile backer boards you are using 100% don't come with a sticky back
@@cbebbington2 the backer boards are screwed down and/or stuck down with tile adhesive. The mat is self adhesive. Just like I explained in the video.
