Came across this video after having black leathered granite installed and seemingly improperly sealed. Knowing I needed something to properly seal my countertops, and being really impressed with John’s knowledge and technique, I went to the website to purchase. There are a lot of products on John’s website and I was a little confused as to what to get. I called the number on the site and John actually answered. He answered my questions and told me what to buy. I ordered and got it in a few days. Just did the seal this morning and followed the process on the video. Everything went according to plan. Whether it will last 3 years is unclear, but the products were great, the process was easy, and the customer service was really great.

Just used this and am beyond happy with the results! We have a beautiful white quartzite counter that had heavy build up and discoloration by the faucet. I thought we might have to replace the counter tops or have the professionally resurfaced. These products made it look Brand New!!!! So thrilled! Thank you!
Received my kit a week or so ago. Finished doing our granite counter tops (83 sq ft) five minutes ago. Took me a good couple of hours plus the time getting all the objects moved off them first. I did it exactly like John did in this video. Worked great! Thanks, John!
Great news to share -- I bought your stone cleaning kit to clean granite countertops (in a rental) back in 2021. Fortunately, I saved the remaining product and used it today to clean & seal the granite countertops in my own kitchen. Wow! After I used the blue spray (the cleaner) they shined like new. Then, after I used the sealer, they continued to shine. They countertops were installed in 2000, and we've been lucky that there were no stains to contend with. But they had gotten dull and tired looking. I am DE-LIGHTED with how they look!!! And yes, it was easy to do -- I just followed your video, being serenaded by Wolfie, your parrot! 🦜
Thanks for this video. It's the best I've seen. I've been dreading resealing my countertops as the last time was super-stressful! It's been so long I have some peeling sealant in a few places so I will have some extra work to do, but this video has really given me more confidence about resealing my countertops!
Important tips at the end!!!! Wait to place anything back on the counters for 30 mins, no water or oil for 12 hours, and throw away the towel you wiped with for sealer!
Thank you for the helpful tutorial. We recently purchased a home with a granite vanity top that has darkening/staining around one of the sinks. It makes sense it would be dark water staining, but unsure. Is this product effective with dark stains on beige/brown granite, or do these types of stains require a heavier professional tool?
Our granite was a poorer quality of granite installed prior to our buying the house. It always feels like there are crumbs on it no matter how well we clean and/or Razor scrape it. Will this process help with any of that or is it useless with this lower quality granite?
Very convincing video, just wish the before granite surface wasn't so shiny already - I find it hard to tell the difference between before and after....
Do these products work for outdoor granite? I have an outdoor granite tabletop that needs a deep clean and sealer. If these products work for outdoor granite, I could save some big $$ by doing it myself. Thanks.
We have used black granite as the pool cooping around the pool. I would like to clean and reseal but want to confirm if this product is matte finish and will it enhance the color?
This is the best video I have seen on this process. Question: how come some companies use a potato powder to polish? Is that step necessary in some cases?
Hi John, I have quartzite counters in my kitchen. They are lighter in color, the pattern was called avalanche. The more high traffic area has become dull and stains which may be calcification, oil or lemon juice (very popular in my house. Should your product work on removing or lessening the stains?
What would you suggest to use for removing carbon that has been cooked onto my honed granite hearth. I've used baking soda to straight sodium hydroxide and I'm about to take a paint remover disc on my angle grinder to it.
I purchased a kit a couple years ago and just now getting around to doing this (i know i know) and realizing I didn't get the scrub, but instead the finishing touch ultra. Will that work instead of the scrub?
Is there anything better than watching someone show something in which they are an expert? You can't get this service at Walmart. Support small business!
Very informational. I was cleaning my black granite counter top using calcium, lime and rust cleaner all it did was leave the black granite looking light grey in color is there anything I can do to get the original color back? Thank You
Hi I watched your video and I was really impressed .the issue I have is I use a brand called (pink stuff 🥵) It says on there you can use it on marble granite any kind of stone and that it was safe because I was trying to get sticky residue marks that the contractor left behind. So it damaged my brand new bathroom vanity top which is black granite and we also installed black marble flooring so I used the pink stuff Big mistake it made the granite dull and the marble flooring dull as well so i’m scared to use anything I don’t want to damage more than I have so my question is since I have granite and I have black marble as well do I have to use two different kinds of products and I also have white marble in my kitchen that I want to resurface so my question is is really about the black granite and the black marble Do you have a product that you can use for both because this can get very expensive hope to hear from you because I really want to get my project done thank you I wish I could show you but I don’t know how to send it
Do you have any over head views of the counter top before and after to see how it brings the stains out? Thank you. I'm highly interested. We have granite in our bathrooms and soaps, water stains and such have left major dark spots embedded into the counter. I hope this product will help to remove that. I saw someone use a lacquer thinner or some strong chemical that you place just on those spots, cover it for 48hrs and then clean from there. I don't really want to use such a hard chemical and I wouldn't be able to use our sinks in the process. Thanks for any info.
Two things...I'm guessing that the counter should be done in sections since I don't recall hearing about it in the video. I've been holding onto the kit for two months now and haven't heard anything bad about the product. Second, my backsplash is of a non-shiny porous stone, unlike the countertop. It looks like it's never been treated. Should I do this with the counter?
Hello all. I just applied the scrub and Ultimate Pro sealer to my granite countertops. Process all went well and really quite easy. I followed the video and product directions to a tee. There is no visible difference to my granite's finish. The Stone Pro Ultimate Pro sealer did not fill the natural micro crevices of the granite which I expected. Honestly my granite already looked okay... but I was hoping these products would take it to stunning! That didn't happen.
Hello, your products look excellent and the demonstration was clear and precise. My question - can I buy this in the UK or do you ship to England please? Thank you
My kitchen counter has some pits, will this fill them in ? I ordered the kit last night so I’ll know soon enough. But.. just hoping to hear it will fill them.. Thanks in advance 😉
just had black/brown granite installed. installers put a sealer on with a cloth and left. now I have a haze on the tops. tried acetone with steel wool but it did nothing. any suggestions?
If you used acetone that means you might have removed some of the sealer. But I wouldn't worry about it because dark stones are denser than lighter ones and don't need to be sealed as often. I would get a sealer and seal it though. My favorite one is Lustro Italiano, very easy to apply, I like to use paper towels instead of clothes. If you see the haze or it feels sticky just get the paper towel with the sealer and go over it, right after that go over it with a dry paper towel to remove the excess. Do this until it's smooth and shiny. Btw, never use steel wool, only fabricators use that and on very rare occasions.
Stonenerd hello. I watched this video to learn how to properly take care of my granite. However, in this comment you recommend a product that is not the same as you’ve demonstrated in the video. Can you please elaborate as you why you prefer the one you’ve mentioned in your comment above the one being demonstrated? In addition, there are area of my granite that are not as smooth as others. I can feel the groves if you will. Is this indicative of the Stone needed to be sanded or mechanically polished more? Thx.

The bird should have been removed prior to filming. I abandoned watching this video after a few of those scratching sounds. How could this guy enjoy living with that bird?
Any thoughts on using a dual action polisher to apply the scrub and or buff the finished countertops - would that result in a higher shine or more durable finish?
There would be no increase in gloss or reflectivity. It would decrease the labor when doing the deep cleaning portion of the process. However, please remember you can generate far more force by hand, and this is important when removing calcium deposits or built up residues from the surface.
