Ayane has one of the best endings in DOA3 and DOA4 with their emotional impact and relevance to her character. The other is Helena. DOA Dimensions to DOA6 did a real disservice to Ayane’s character relegating her to just a standard Tsundere who can’t do things herself and subservient to her superiors. DOA3 Ayane defied Hayate to save her father from himself and letting him rest from his torment. In DOA4, she even let go of her animosity to save Kasumi from getting killed. Dimensions Ayane gets harassed by Brad Wong and has to get help from Hayate and Hayabusa to stop Genra who is now apparently evil degrading her big role in DOA3 thus losing the emotional impact of her story. DOA6 Ayane has trouble fighting Marie Rose, gets kidnapped and then brainwashed so we can get the typical Kasumi vs Ayane fight. It just really sucks that they disrespected a well-established and beloved character like Ayane.
@@RedVenomCorp I'm hoping the next game is a reboot in the similar veins of Soulcalibur VI as I feel that it will be hard to continue the story after DOA6.
I just don’t get how we went from a story line and level design from doa 4 in 2005 (19 years ago from the time of this comment) to doa 6….. breaks my heart.
I'm more of a Tekken, Naruto Clash of Ninja, Soul Caliber and Virtua Fighter fan when it comes to 3D fighting games new and old. Dead or Alive 5 and 6 are just too expensive for me and the discounts on DOA6 isn't really enough for me to consider. Glad I bought Batman Arkham Knight, Batman Telltale and Capcom Arcade Stadium instead of DOA6.

Agreed! The new direction after Itagaki left was terrible.
