that ending look like it had some lip sync issues tho. less beer tonight. shit still awesome tho. I agree with the musicians in the comments...whats up guys? I understand 25 years later for sure, but I saw that our hooded player next to the singer not looking too happy
Is it just me or is the Bass Player not playing the actual parts? In every video hes almost mimicking the same Bass parts.... I know a few Crossbreed songs and thats not how you play them on the Bass. Underlined and Hollow being an example.
@@TrashPanda_87 I thought I heard what sounded like live bass watching the plucking, but it continued to slide after he took his hand away. I'm not certain what exactly he was playing, but I might suspect the volume on the live bass being way below the synth bass. That might not be the bands fault if the soundboard mix was bad, the vocal mic is too low for almost the whole first verse of Underlined, but luckily the crowd sang along louder than the PA. Not to nitpick too much, but as a synth player, their keyboardist was likely playing the chord progression, but I didn't really hear his audio, just the arp from the drum machine. On the flip, from an audience perspective, it's more entertaining to have someone bashing on a keyboard to the beat than just retriggering MIDI sequences. Personally, I'm not bothered, it's awesome they're still playing, I'd love to see the blacklight/metal grinder/fog/stage show and not worry so much about the technical details :)
@@justin6point7 It only bothers me because i play Bass and Guitar lol. And thats a curse because I will look for that stuff i guess. Like trying to learn a song from someone playing it and its not even close lol. I totally know what you mean though. But if you watch a few of the songs its like the bassist is playing the same pattern in a few of the songs. Two of the songs I know how to play and no matter what tuning your in that is not how you play it. So i picked up my bass and played what he was playing during those two songs and it doesnt even come close to how the song is played or how it sounds. Looks like they just needed someone on stage with a bass. But ya I shouldnt worry about it and just enjoy the show but its a habbit. Crossbreed is one of my favorite bands and im glad their back.
@@TrashPanda_87 I had another thought that you answered, about the bass being in some nonstandard tuning, but not when there were notes happening that weren't being played. He may have been there to fill the visual spot on stage for bass that very well could have been electronic. Personally, I've played about everything over the decades, and about 18 years ago, I made an industrial/electronic album by myself and did a couple really boring shows of actually playing what are suppose to sound like guitar and bass from a keyboard stand. I wanted more stage energy so got a couple different live guitarists, a couple different DJ's, and a stage model to look like she was playing keys and beating up our custom stands and cages with metal grinders.. anyway.. We were scheduled to open for a legendary industrial act at a well known Detroit club, and the day before, our guitarist needed to prioritize his paying career. I wasn't going to cancel, I made some calls to guitarists that heard the CD, and found one that could jam lead parts along with some chords and improvize harmonic noises over top of the distorted synths sounding like rhythm guitar. Live guitar was routed to the DJ console, so our DJ could process the signal into fitting the beat with things like tempo sync'd gate effects to automatically turn the live guitar into an arpeggio. Dude didn't know the actual notes, was all over the place about timing, he wasn't even suppose to be there.. but was playing waveforms from guitar that could be manipulated with live effects, while the synth can pitch shift into key.. and other ways to tell a guitarist with stage fright to just make some noise, don't worry about the notes, we use machines for that 🎹 Late 90's/mid 2k was a hell of a time for electronic rock band stage acts. I moved and stopped doing shows in 2007. I still want to do a one off show, but that dream seems pretty bleak with my medical issues. So yeah, Crossbreed is awesome, nostalgic they're still around. We use to have sing alongs to them on long road trips to shows! The good old days..
@@justin6point7 I totally understand what your saying and that could be the case. I guess until your there its really unknown whats going on behind the curtain as far as stuff like that. Ill still and will always support crossbreed no matter what. Sometime I wish I didnt play so that i could ignore that type of stuff but its whatever lol. They kick ass and thats what matters! Cheers! Good luck on the medical stuff btw!

BTW I love Crossbreed, but as a Guitar and Bass player that shit stands out and its hard to unsee lol.
