Thanks, glad you like it, it's kind of a no-brainer, so hot! These guys have been to the States already. I'm sure they'll be back. This song is from their first album. Their second album, A Hero Death, came out last year during the pandemic. You can tell they are maturing nicely. The singer, imo, is a cross between Liam, Shane McGowan and Ian Curtis. And, like Shane and most respectable Irishmen, are versed in their fellow writers. I have a few cuts off the 1st album, but I bought the second one, I can't stop listening to it. Chris - Grian Chatten, the singer, may not have a perfect voice, but like Liam, Shane, and Joe Strummer, sometimes the imperfect voice is the best voice. I think we all hope to hear a lot more from this band, Rock needs something right now, today!
Was supposed to see them in Nottingham a few weeks ago but gig postponed due to COVID. Got to wait until mid-October now. Great band and great reaction
They're great. You can here so much in there. Everything from the Pogues to the Arctic Monkeys,to the Ramones, can even hear a bit of the Velvet Underground and all in a Dublin accent which always helps.
This is a killer song in my opinion. I like everything about it. A driving three chord progression and along with fantastic lyrics delivered in a Dylanesque stream of consciousness flow, and I am a sucker for a British accent. Need to check the local smoke shop to see if they have Carrolls :-). This song gives me hope for the the future of rock and roll. To whoever suggested this, thanks!!
@@irishpaul3129 That's not pedantic that's saying it like it is. Doffing my cap to the boys across the Irish sea for producing this band with some seriously Irish DNA in those lyrics. Two albums and enough great tunes for a banging festival headline set!
Skin and blister is Dublin rhyming slang for sister... That's why the lyrics are sooo good in this... Carolls are an Irish brand of cigarettes... Spits out 'Brits out' only smokes Carolls
Their second album “ A Hero’s death” was nominated for the best rock/ alternative album Grammy last year, which surprised the hell out me that the Grammys were even aware of this band. They lost out to The Strokes. I saw them in September 2019 and they also were on the tonight show, so they’ve been creeping up on a lot of people. I read their 3rd album is written and ready to be recorded.
Got to do liberty belle, of the same first album Dogrel. Have a second album called a hero’s death that came out 2019/20. I think the first one is better. Live the content !

These were the last gig I saw before COVID hit the UK. Absolutely awesome night
Great band- The Clash meets The Pogues 🙂👍
Love this band. Saw them at Glastonbury in 2019. They played twice. So amazing.

Sorry to be pedantic but it's very much an Irish accent - not British. These things matter a lot around these parts!
@@irishpaul3129 thank you for making me a little less ignorant; and I say this with true sincerity :-)
@@hotblackdesiato3022 no worries Michael!
And another bit pedantic.... lol Dublin lads

Best new band I've heard in the last ten years. So fucking good!

I'm with Chris on this one. I like the music, but the vocals are really not my thing. A lot of my friends love them though!
