I went from being unsure of then after hearing a few tracks but next thing they're my most listened to band over the last few years. Caught them live too a couple of times and they were spot on. Awesome band. 👌 ❤
It's a slightly slower version of the song than the one I'm used to. Still love it though. Great riffs performed in the punk style with an urban poet for a front man. What's not to love? I can see why they get so many great reviews from the music press. They are brilliant live. Saw them just once and the audience reaction ranged from wild exuberation to a near riot! Incidentally guys, you haven't really covered Irish music until you've done Thin Lizzy; a great Hard Rock band from the 70s and early 80s.
Try- a Hero’s death or Jackie down the line. You have a point about their expressions- but it’s like asking the Sex Pistols to be a bit happier, they probably could, but you wouldn’t thank them for it.
Ah lads, you need to make your mind up, you either get it or you don`t. Think you might need to get up to speed on this band and front man Grian Chatten`s solo work. June 2023! Hey guys, it`s a video, they are acting `pissed off`, come on you guy`s need to do better than this.If you don`t understand the band and their music well maybe just steer clear! Slainte.
Not the best song to start with. Your comment about the singer would also apply to Jim Morrison's role in The Doors. Try listening to Roman Holiday, Skinty Fia or I Love You. There's a great video of them performing I Love You at the Glastonbury Festival, look at the reaction of the huge audience. If you want fun and games, perhaps you should listen to another Dublin band called The Scratch, they are starting to become big in America, they do more things that grab and manipulate their audiences,

They were voted the Best Band in the World.
Saw them live in Southampton a while back, the energy in the gig was unreal

Quality band.
Oy, you went with a slow version? The LP cut crushes this like a grape…
Just saw them live in Lawrence, KS a few days back, you should check out their new album ‘Romance.’ (They are so good live).
Up da Dubs!
Look at them doing I Love You, at Glastonbury.
They're class live. Saw them support the Strokes last year. The beginning of this has tones of Getting Better by Shed Seven.
Omg ,, I love how understated this band are. Did kurt cobain look like he was enjoying his music?, yet , etc etc
The album version is faster and works a lot better in my opinion. This version trundles too much
I thought it sounded weird. Couldn't work out why.
@@joepiekl the chorus bounces at the faster tempo
Darklands version is too slow to get the right impression of what this song is.

"A Hero's Death" by this same band - pure genius
Please check out there song favourite. It’s epic. Or another band who are British. Nothing but thieves - Amsterdam
Roman Holiday is a good song and I like I Don't Belong to Anyone, as well.
Please do a reaction to I love You (live) by Fontaines. Easily their best song for me
Hero's death or televised mind by these is the dogs bollox lads
Try i love you or nabokov off their 3rd albums
Nabokov is a masterpiece
Do Skinty Fia!

If you’re not a fan of this tune try sally down the line
Jackie
Now do Slaves, Royal Blood, Sleaford Mods or Idles.
Good shout! All great bands
Not my favourite of their songs.
