If your screen is vertical, you don't need any of that. The Greatest disaster in IT history was when companies decided that our screens need to be vertical
I always thought the computer should say ten, forward with a slight pause as it's kinda of a location and not really a designation other than to the crew.
0:40 Now with Generative-AI we have what Picard is using there as AI is analyzing cancer x-rays and points out high probabilities of a cancer growth, since Generative-AI is a statistical algorithm using probabilities for its results. The Holodeck is pretty much also Generative-AI; you could call it "EnvironmentGPT". The Universal Translator of Star Trek is currently in development, using Generative AI to train the voice of your conversation partner, use noise cancelling of your in-ear phones to filter it out and replace it with the same voice but translated to your desired language. In the 1980s TNG predicted today's Generative-AI technology. As a TNG fan the technology was nothing new to me, the show "explained" it to me already almost 30 years ago.
Is this complete? I'm working on a project to integrate majel barret's voice into google assistant. It would save me a lot of time if I could use this instead of combing through each episode myself
@@NickFelker Though to reiterate what you said in the description, seems like you took every voice interaction and cut it down some (cuz Charlie may be asking if this is the _full version_ of every voice interaction)
Always liked the flickering sound as the computer was accessed.
you can ad that flicker sound to windows if you like so much you know
If only computers were this efficient and benevolent and werent run by tech companies who want to scoop up all of your personal data.
I spend so much time thinking about how there's no social media in Star Trek haha (I mean, outside of some time travel episodes)

@@MariusFusariuyou can blame people filming in vertical and TikTok for making it standard.
They could have had Magile do Siri, but nooooo.

I doubt "forward" is part of a standard room specification, I think it really is using it as the proper name of the establishment.
incorrect, Ten Forward is a proper noun - it's the name of an establishment. It's explained in the series

Yes this is every voice interaction in Season 7.

if i remember correctly she made a phonetic library of her voice so you can replicate the computer voice she did
This is amazing
Most of the 1987 was gone by this season (except the Enterprise and her dated 80s sets).
Will there be Voice Tech in Star Trek: TNG Supercut for Seasons 1 & 3! If I may ask. Please and thank you.
Technically I did do those seasons too, but they got copyright flags 😕
Another great compilation. :D
I wish they could do what Siri does today like I found 2 planets very close to you would you like to get directions? Or at the next star turn right
Which episode in Star Trek next Generation is the one at 2:32
