I don't know how to express my gratitude to you. Nobody shows the exact and detailed method for extracting the CMYK channel for Screen printing. This is 1000$ worth tutorial. You are really a hero.
That was an amazing tutorial! Thank you for your assistance in helping solve the mystery of the 4 color separation process. As a beginner screen printer on a shoe string budget, you provided a great alternative to the RIP method! Both my wallet and I are extremely grateful!!!
I've watched a lot of Video Separation How to, however , your video is the best in explaining the process and steps. Kudos to you bro. it's 22 minutes of time well spend. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
this is the most helpful thing I have ever watched on youtube. it's so easy when you understand it

Ive been trying every way to do this for the last 2 days and this worked. I love you

I’ve watched so many other videos and man this was the most useful and simple one to learn from.. 👍🏾

very nice job..... i would like you to make the procces about how to prepare the BASE WHITE to printing on black shirts
How do you do white underbase for printing on dark garment?
really informative!
awesome! how do i go about exporting each one separately?
Nice video. When you screen print them does it matter what order you print the colors? Thanx for the info.
What would be the effect if I used this colour layering process to print a landscape on paper or canvas?
So when I get to the part where I copy and paste each channel into the new document to see how it looks like.. when I press paste it paste all the layers and all the bitmaps are black and grayish
Best video on the topic!!! You made this process so simple THANK YOU! But I have a question.......when you finished bit mapping all the channels you said that we could just print these as is" the only problems is that there's no registration marks.......can you please show how to ad registration marks PLEASE. I've been trying to add them but don't know how....PLEASE help
Registration marks are done Photoshops print settings dialogs, not in the document per-se.
Sorry about the video glitch that you see a couple of times. I have a zoom feature I was using, but the screen recording software apparently didn't like that...
How does the white base work?
19:39 Will it copy all dots without losing a pixel.
Don't you use curves for the dot gain the print will have?
Rotation Quick Reference:
C: 15
M: 75
Y: 0
K: 45
Awesome!!!! Can I just save each channel as a jpeg now???
Nice
Guys, Does anyone knows how to calculate the "Frequency" number on the Bitmap phase, if you have a larger image? Say, 3200dpi?
I have a watercolor painting that id, like to print to a t-shirt, do i need to do the same or can i convert it to vector in illustrator
hi, my layers still appear grey when i apply the fx colour overlay - do you know why?
make sure you change the page that you're posting into back to CMYK. That happened to me too
what if you are printing on a dark shirt? what is the angles etc. for white ink? and if you have a white base and white highlight, do you leave the angles the same?
@@rohitmaharjan3938 sadly i did not... i forgot all about this until you commented
How do we get a file or PNG of the pattern? can't find it anywhere
does this process applicable for all types of designs? Such as flyer poster book cover?
Massive thanks for the incredible knowledge share !!! Like-Share-Subscribe- Yes I did, and Nice save on the black film correction. I was screaming at my monitor the whole time, then you fixed it, can you hear my thoughts?!! Good on Ya.
Question would the colors be affected on a black background/shirt?
On a darker color T-shirt for black, colors would look slightly different, you would need to underlay your image with the same color that you would be printing on and then adjust via adjustment layers to boost or mute colors to get the look you were looking for .
StudentWebHosting.com. I will try that out, Thank you for the helpful video as well as the reply!
once i convert all the images into midtone, i try to paste it individually but it paste gray. please help
when I bitmap the CMYK images in 300 dpi messes up the entire image. Not sure why. My computer is pretty beefy for graphics.
how does the angle of the halftones affect the graphic and how do you determine it?
Watch the beginning of the video. If you don't use these angles it will create poor visuals, not pleasing to the eye.
Cyan 15
Magenta 75
Yellow 0
Black 45
Hey man, what about for only 2 colours?
How do you do this with a png that has transparency. The background becomes black.
TheVitros I might not be right but, I would just re-save the file as a jpeg if possible and try it then.
whole video i was waiting for layer mask. and white base for it so that it van be printed on black tshirt
I am not able to invert the separated CMYK panels (background layer locked, unable to unlock), in order to paste them in new CMYK layers in the new panel.. Any suggestion??
Running cc on Windows 10. Ctrl+select not working .
I'm not sure. I'd try getting rid of the background layer by converting to a regular layer (double click it)
@@FollowAndrew StudentWebHosting.com the double click was also not working.. i saved the c,m,y,k as a pdf. That would be the process if we have to burn it on a screen right.. ?
can you please make a video from start to finish which to include the screen rotation
Do you have to be an artist to do this? I have no artistic skills whatsoever but I really want to do this.
The black looks as if it's in the wrong place!
This is THE best video. Not only does he explain the WHY but he shows you the HOW. Thank you so much, now I understand the process.
Glad it was helpful!
