Keep the conversation pure if it goes off that after you’ve set your boundaries he’s not the one! Soooo many old school teachings only if we would do some of these things now! This is so true. A lot of the people in the church are in fornication. It makes believers of Christ look bad because they are not doing anything different than nonbelievers. They claim to love and serve God but continue to fornicate and have children out of wedlock. I get mocked for being abstinent because I have children already. People say that no man is going to wait until marriage for a single mom. I'm also divorced so you never know why someone is a single mom. If he will not change so that Christ can live through him, then the woman does not and should not have to stay with such a man who won't even believe God enough to remain a faithful, responsible man. You know like deadbeat men or women who just up and leave rather than stepping up and taking responsibility? It's not talking about unfaithfulness which is real grounds for breaking the contract as it is a direct transgression against the marital vows - if one party breaks it, the other is not obligated to remain in it. Keep your twisted notions of divorce and remarriage to yourself - we don't need people being condemned by your false ideas on what you claim God says but which is really what you think. This is so true. A lot of the people in the church are in fornication. It makes believers of Christ look bad because they are not doing anything different than nonbelievers. They claim to love and serve God but continue to fornicate and have children out of wedlock. I get mocked for being abstinent because I have children already. People say that no man is going to wait until marriage for a single mom. I'm also divorced so you never know why someone is a single mom. I just ignore all the negativity because I fear God more than I care about being mocked by foolish people. Living for God is worth it and God will not be mocked. 🙏🏾

Remarriage after divorce if a previous spouse is still living is /-\dultery according to the Bible. You cannot remain a Christian in that state. ==> He [Jesus] answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits /-\dultery against her. And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits /-\dultery.” (Mark 10:12) ==> By law, a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an /-\dulteress (Romans 7:2-3). ==> A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord. (1 Corinthians 7:39) (You can live alone, but cannot remarry) BTW, I was in that position - in an /-\dulterous remarriage when I discovered this truth, and I vacated the relationship.

He or she omitted the part where the Bible says you are free to remarry if your former spouse is no longer pleased to live with you and likewise. I think this is after something severe that breaks the marriage vows happens.
And also in the case of unfaithfulness on your ex spouse part if he is not willing to turn over a new leaf in the case that you might be willing to forgive and move past it.
I forget the particular verses and you can look it up but if this is your case - you are not an adulteress.
It does not say you are free to remarry, but that if an unbelieving spouse wants to leave, to let them leave. (no begging them to stay, but respect their free will, which G0d does, even if it works to own destructi0n. (1 C0rinthian$ 7:15)

Would the ex-wife of an unbelieving spouse be an adulteress? And wouldn't she also be free to remarry due to the fact that the unbelieving husband's termination of the marriage is tantamount to s widow being free of any marital obligations upon her husband's death?
And the Bible talks about in 1 Timothy 5:8 about how a man who refuses to care for his own and for those of his house is worse than an infidel and has denied the faith. That is also an unbelieving man who claims to be a Christian outwardly. If he will not change so that Christ can live through him, then the woman does not and should not have to stay with such a man who won't even believe God enough to remain a faithful, responsible man.
Also - to burst your hypocritical bubble - when the Bible says any man or woman who leaves their wife or husband makes them an adulterer, it is talking of the case of a spouse who just ups and leaves without voiding the marriage contract. You know like deadbeat men or women who just up and leave rather than stepping up and taking responsibility? It's not talking about unfaithfulness which is real grounds for breaking the contract as it is a direct transgression against the marital vows - if one party breaks it, the other is not obligated to remain in it.
Keep your twisted notions of divorce and remarriage to yourself - we don't need people being condemned by your false ideas on what you claim God says but which is really what you think. Especially when you don't care enough to even try to understand how the original commenter came to be divorced in the first place.

However, virginity is not equivalent to purity and purity is not equivalent to virginity. When purity is practiced as a lifestyle, you understand your value beyond your sexuality. It hasn’t always been easy, but I made this commitment to the Lord at a young age - and by only the grace of God.. setting boundaries, community, practicing discipline, etc.. I’ve been able to keep this commitment. I’m passionate about women of God ….and men too - to understand the value of our bodies. What I love about a wholistic purity view - you practice it 3 ways: with your sprit, mind, and body. Annnddd it’s never too late to start! As Tony has said, your body is a temple for the Lord - it’s precious and sacred. The principles in the bible are for our protection and not punishment. I believe as we understand the principles of purity - which goes beyond sex, we won’t be reduce our significance to the bedroom. Really enjoy these segments, keep sharing!🎉💯
