His threat meets the threshold for an assault under UK law, assault laws cover the use of threatening words (the Criminal Justice Act 1988). He could be arrested for that threat.
@@simonrichards150 Assault comes under three laws (might be more, but three main areas), offences against the person act (really old, must be early 1900s), the criminal justice act 1988 and the crime / disorder act 1998. Legal language games. "I'd like to see you try mate" is one of those phrases that don't do you any favours in court. "Bring it on" is even worse. Why? Because the other side are going to use that to paint a picture. You went there looking for trouble didn't you? You were trying to provoke violence weren't you? That was your plan from the start wasn't it? You wanted to provoke violence to earn more money from clicks and views didn't you? Well why else would you have said all that? Now of course it doesn't matter if nothing happens and the matter doesn't end up in any court for any reason. But it really matters if the guy does then come over and punch you. Consider some of the other things that could be said that could not be used against you by a snide barrister. Work over the different angles in your head. Game it like barristers do.
Legal language games. The phrases are ambiguous. So meaning unclear so the reply is not tainted. "I would like to see. You try." "I would like, too see you try" , & "bring it on" Take it where? It? On what?
@@davecarter2508 You have revealed one of the ways you can talk yourself into a conviction. The way your phrases will be presented (and understood) is with the worst possible interpretation. If you try to suggest amibiguity you will not be believed and you will be taken as dishonest. Consider that the phrases can be heard on the video. A common sense hearing of them has no ambiguity.
@@blindjusticeandcommonsense2786 You don't know anywhere near the amount you think you know. I showed they are ambiguous, that you still argue that ambiguity means nothing in law shows a level of ignorance of law. @@davecarter2508 Consider for a moment what you typed there. Did it occur to you that I might know through experience in court? And that it is you that has overreached? You have not shown that what is said in the video is in any way ambiguous. You are showing yourself in a bad light. Remember, the video is itself evidence that would be played in court. You saying all kinds of nonsense that contradicts what can be clearly heard and understood in context on the video would annoy the beak and sink you. Come up with more appropriate things for the person in DJ's position to say in those situations. Can you do better than DJ did here?
@@blindjusticeandcommonsense2786 re : "Consider for a moment what you typed there." Why should I, you didn't consider it at all you acted ignorant and self appeasing with your anecdotal court experience as grounds to imply that I over reached? Laughable! You need to wake up and actually read what is written instead of what you think people are saying. I made it clear that statement is ambiguous, your begging to look at the vide means nothing to the fact the statement is still ambiguous. Another resident of the valley of the brain dead-- well done for calling him out ,DJ.
Punch your lights in....... that's a new one lmao, he's gonna knock you in and wake you up........ or knock you up..... wait.... no
Legal language games.
PS Not "understood" you meant comprehended, understood means to agree, get the right words together man!
Before making a reply try actually replying to what is said, over your fweelings.
now I want fish and chips!
Seem like a nice bunch
